    I done a days training with them this year, and it was totally different on how you should pull a wheelie than I thought, and I have been riding bikes for 35 years, very good info and tuition. I only wish they done training nearer home, Scotland.

    • @KnoxArmour
      @KnoxArmour  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, MT-09 a lot easier to wheelie as it has the sudden punch down low.. Doing pretty well on the GSXR now, but if I want to start slower have to use the clutch to get it up. Thanks, Aaron KNOX

      teach safety and control 1st. 2 of the guys on my course were wheelie fanatics who were on their second lesson because they wanted to learn more control. Clearly worth every penny!

    When practising, learn to drop the front wheel gently. Otherwise you'll mess up the whole front in no time.

    • @KnoxArmour
      @KnoxArmour  5 років тому +1

      Definitely! Been working on that. Think its a case of getting used to the front wheel coming up and not just panicking and shutting the throttle. Trying to hold the throttle open throughout the wheelie which gives a much better landing! Thanks, Aaron Knox

    Wheelie schools are lame as fu%$. I learned the old school way and I'm pretty young. All I did was buy a wrecked mt07 for $500, i didn't want to wreck my brand new mt09, and in one day, I became really really good.

    • @andreahunter2836
      @andreahunter2836 3 роки тому +2

      Learning safety is lame? Who cares if you crash your cheap bike? No-one. It's the injury that people with common sense want to avoid.

      I dont think thats fair, its about our experience learning how to wheelie. And honestly, on the road, we wouldnt recommend just learning it yourself as its too dangerous, we'd advise going to a school like this. Thanks Aaron KNOX :)

    boring video guys, talk about how to do the wheelie not 15 mins of boring chatter.

    • @KnoxArmour
      @KnoxArmour  4 роки тому +2

      Sorry you feel like that... I wouldn't put a video like that on UA-cam teaching you the steps on how to wheelie a road bike. In my honest experience and from learning and now decent at pulling safe and controlled wheelies myself, I feel it is too dangerous without proper training and certainly not the sort of content I would want to be putting out there. End of the day, on a road bike, depending on what bike you have got, you are coming down from the wheelie anywhere from 40-70mph on a power wheelie and getting it wrong at those speeds is dangerous and could wreck your bike. If you have a dirt bike and are on grass/dirt, I don't have the same issues as the risk is a lot lower and a dirt bike is designed to be crashed. Our genuine recommendation on a road bike is to go to a school like this where you are taught by experts on how to wheelie properly, controlled and safely in a safe environment. This video was about our experience doing that and the fun involved and I would recommend Extreme wheelie training 100%. Many thanks, Aaron KNOX.

      Knox Armour I would go if they ran this in Australia. I understand you’re being careful.

    • @KnoxArmour
      @KnoxArmour  4 роки тому

      allinall777 OK totally understand where you are coming from. Of course, you can work it out and there are quite a few UA-cam videos on how to do it.. I know because I got so far by following these type of UA-cam videos and of course you can learn this way. Its just in my opinion, the margin for error is really slim and its quite risky. Again, when it comes to an off road bike or something, then go for it, but I think because the risk is higher on this, imo its better to learn from an expert. In comparison, I'm totally happy to show how to on things like rolling burnouts because this imo has a lot less risk factor, ua-cam.com/video/MoVxjUkF4_E/v-deo.html. 😀😀

    If you believe pulling wheelies is the holy grail of riding a motorcycle then zi would suggest you wait to go through puberty until you get a bike.
    Yes it is fun to pop up the front wheel, it is fun to roll on the front with the back in the air. However real riders know that the true skill in riding a motorcycle is the ability to take corners like a boss.
    It is all very good and well playing around, and understanding this control helps, but get real, cruising effortlessly away from other riders is so much cooler than poping a wheelie.

    • @DuncanLongden
      @DuncanLongden 4 роки тому

      @@warrenseiboth3466 Not that I really have to justify anything to you but my bike history removing pre license bikes are cbr400rr, GSXR600RR (full Akro and dyno), Buell X1 Lightening Viper Stripe, CBR900RR, TL1000S (Full Akro and PC3), Husky T210e, Aprillia SL1000, GSXR750RR and currently FZ1N. I have also had Honda XR500 which was a wheelie monster. For work I had multiple CB1's and Bros 400, ST1100, FJ900 (great fun to wheelie surprisingly), Deuville (also a real laugh to wheelie just to see peoples faces), a couple of FZ6, a couple of CB600f, and probably a few more that I have forgotten. Not many cruisers in there though.
      So maybe with your newbie experience you feel wheelieing is where it is at, but when you grow some hair on your balls you will come to realise it is childs play and have better road skills is what sorts the men from the boys.
      And for the record, nothing wrong with cruisers if that's what people want to ride, as long as they aren't cunts it's ok right?
