@@WMCS I already know it will! The engine is simple, the wiring harness unplugs and can come out with the engine and then be transferred with all the accessories. There's lots off room in the engine bay, I'm gonna drop the engine out the bottom.
Great work! I’m so impressed! I have a V50 1.8 Flexifuel 2007 (B4184S8) and I plan to replace the clutch. Do you know of its the same procedure for me? Many thanks!
semen drinker 247 I always use the marking on the body where the subframe attaches.... be sure to undo the steering column attachment that links into the steering rack. From the footwell by means of a 10mm bolt. ... take caution that the steering wheel is locked. If the steering wheel spins freely you’ll have a problem with the angle sensor. ... once the column is detached you should be safe to lower one side of the subframe without tugging on the steering side. That rack itself can stay in situ.
what can be the reason for that after clutch replacement, driveshaft is making quiet noise during acceleration like "rubbing"??? looking forward to reply thx
lg lg I’ve gone back and check with regards to the V70.. there are two different models. What year is yours. The earlier model. The whole engine and gearbox is resting in the subframe. And that will require some major surgery. If it’s the later one then it should resemble this one. Maybe you’ll have to slightly drop one side of the subframe. But let me know the year of your car.
I had make the same opération on Ford focus 2 duratec HE 2.0 with Mtx75 gearbox... Hard job....complet change with flywhell. Exactly same steps...need Many Time. 😡😡
@@WMCS 😊 1st clutch for me...certainly the last To hard...but since 2 Years it work perfectly. This engine is very good ans solid Only change thermostat was stay open. Sorry for my english im french
Must've taken a while to film. Every shot is well lit and at a great angle, not just entertaining but a great resource
The absence of speaking and the birds chirping in the background are really working out well for you. Good job cutting out the middle man! Cheers!
I suppose it’s sharing how things really are in reality if there wasn’t a camera around.
Molto bravo .Complimenti per la tua professionalità !
Great job...hard work ...so much appreciation for you
Great video. Thank you for your effort.
Did the same job for mine V50 1.6D 2010. 183000km and the clutch was toasted. Took me 4 days to get it done 😆
Ab Normal at least you got it done pal🎉🥳... did you replace the DMF as well
Yes i did. Didn't want to do "incomplete" job. 🤓
@@WMCS might as well replace the cv axle boots or whole axle, struts, bearing, and rotors at the same time too
Just started doing this today ugggggg --
That was awesome dude, I'm changing the engine in a V50 and I have never touched a Volvo. This vid will help alot
Hope the video comes in handy.

Awesome video man
Hats off to you 👍 👍
Fair play to you my friend. 👍
Nice work! One question: dont you have to losen the bolts for the steering column from the steering rack when you lower the subframe?
Nice job
Kalid Sahal thank you for the review... and for visiting the channel

Woow, lots of work...more than small Toyota.
FFFF, I'M SWEATING WATCHING HOW THIS GUY WORKS, UFFFF
Nice work bud 👍🏽
Where about u based if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks for all the vids Kev! Is this the same process on the v70?
Hiya. Have a look on the channel. I’m sure there’s a V70 repair. Let me know your thoughts.
is it the same for the 2.0 diesel?
How did you fill up the transmission oil?
Great work! I’m so impressed! I have a V50 1.8 Flexifuel 2007 (B4184S8) and I plan to replace the clutch. Do you know of its the same procedure for me? Many thanks!
Hi Daniel. It’s exactly the same.
@@WMCS Perfect! Thank you! 👍
Nice job!
How many engine/gearbox mounts is there? Two mounts för the gearbox right? How many mounts for the engine?
Erik Olsson there one gearbox upper mount and one gearbox lower mount as shown in the vid ... then there is one engine mount in the engine side.
Same on ford focus mk2 2006?
Btw, we wanna see a tool video of your tools!!
Erik Olsson i did do a video but took it down... it’s a bit risky to be displaying tools in a van 😊
amazing, is this the same process for the volvo s60 2005 2.0?
S60 a lot easier.. watch this weeks upload there’s one on there.
Would you know what mileages achieve those 1.8 ford petrol engines, with 125HP, that Volvo used? And on what ground do you base your answer?
I’m not sure. Depends on how the driver rides it. I only replace them. 😁
Great video.I have 2005 volvo v50 2.4i. is same as mine ?
jaewoo kevin
Yes they share the same gearbox.
Can you leave the steering connected and how do you align the sub frame?

Maybe it’s rubbing against something. Check the brake shield also.
What is torque specification for all bolts including the clutch plate etc?
.
I got a 2.0 petrol, would this be the same process?
Yes almost exactly the same. Apart from the gear linkage attachments
Great Job ,Did the same job for mine V70 2.0F 2008?
lg lg definitely the same box... how did you get on..? Was it on a ramp you got yours done ...
@@WMCS Sorry, I would to ask if it is same job for mine V70F
lg lg oh sorry mate😁.... yes it’s the same gearbox. But slightly different attachment on the gear linkage.
@@WMCS but
I think I have some frame below which I have to take down. I wonder if the motor stay on this frame and how to do to keep it on place?

how many km replacement after?

10000km.

All volvos uses ford gearbox. Some of them uses the whole ford engines and gearbox.
Its normal because its the P1 platform ...
Do you drain out the transmission. ?
