In Mumbai a 2 BHK in Goregaon costs 1.8-2.2 crs.
The average age of buying a home is early to mid 30s. In any housing complexes this can be observed.
Most people are paying almost 80k-1L EMI. They will have to pay their Bonuses for next 10-15 yrs for prepayment.
Then expenses of kids and maintenance and car and education and going out and healthcare.
By the age of 45 -48 is when an average person gets debt free.
This is truth of people who are working nearby me who are in PwC, E&Y, Banks and Financial institutions. Even a VP level person who gets 5 lakh take home can at best buy a 3 bhk for 3.5 -5 crs in Mumbai.
No matter how much salary you get for a salaried person it is nothing great in Mumbai. So if someone has a parental home or home bought 15 yrs ago then consider yourself lucky.

I totally get why you are looking to do the MBA, but frankly doing the distance MBA will not add value to your resume. In fact, doing a full-time MBA from a mediocre college will not add any value either. If you really want to shine, focus on a full-time premium MBA. Also, it is possible to change the domain, but a good offer will be a possibility when you are picked up during the campus placement.

Its opposite in IT companies.I think you work in Marketing / sales types of roles. One should be highly technical if you plan to survive in a technology /IT industry in a technical domain..Continuous technical skill upgrade (cloud, azure,ai, data science, cyber security, python,React JS,Angular JS) is a must, MBA is of very little use, unless it is related to sales and marketing types.Managers in IT are easily replacable in comparison to say Architect. Many times Managers salary will be less than the Architect reporting to him.Dont misguide the young people.

A hard pill to swallow but mba grads don't prefer sales role with direct topline responsibility. While at the start of your career you can overshadow and number crunch all you want with a desk job, you should start to move into a role which has P&L responsibility. Longterm if you want to survive corporate it is crucial to go for a role with more responsibilities. It's a no brainer that no company will pay a 45 year old to do quintessential desk jobs like number crunching on excel. They would rather prefer to hire a smart college grad who will do it at half the cost !

If you want to survive in IT Technical positions, than you need to constantly upgrade skill sets in those areas where demand exists . Today skillsets are in demand in Artificial Intelligence and Data analytics. As you age beyond 35-40, it becomes difficult to upgrade such technical skills. If you are unable to upgrade technical skills, then it is better to go for managerial positions.

At 23 with 1.5 years of experience, the choice depends on your goals. If you enjoy engineering, continue to gain experience. If you prefer management or specialization, consider an MBA or MS.
