I've already started saving cash for the 5 but after watching this I might have to think twice
Always buy any hardware six months after its release. It gives the beta -males- playtesters to test the console and get it right for everyone else through incessant whining, cringing, complaining and wondering why they bought that piece when they could have waited for a stable version like the others. Because of that, the company issues numerous patches and bug fixes which it could have before its release because unlike PC, ps4 is not open end and should run damn near perfectly from day one.
As always, we need people on both ends of the spectrum. We need someone to take the L so that we don't have to. Better them than us.

I bought a Wii on launch day and it still works perfectly. It shouldn't matter if it's bought on day one, the company should have tested it better.
Yeah, but like...I'd argue that the Wii was basically a Gamecube with some minor polishing. Most of the time it's not an issue of bad testing before launch, it's more mistakes made during the manufacturing stage...excluding the Xbox 360 first model that was actually just badly designed. I mean, apparently around 60% of those got the red ring of death which is kind of absurd.
That's because Nintendo strives for perfection every dam Mario game that has came out as far as the main titles have been nothing less then masterpieces.

With the coil whine and the sides not properly put on, to the ps5 freezing up/ not turning on at all, and also the database corrupting. They’re having some of the same problems. Plus not to mention truck drivers stealing ps5s and scalpers price gouging and ruining the launch too, but that’s a different story.

But when I bought the switch it beeped the hell out of me. Then I sent it back and got another one. On the new one the sticks/pads didn't work at all and I didn't get them off.

0:00 you need to change your mother board or their are two screws that are on the top plate that you can loosen
0:55 you need a step two or three HDMI cord for my ps4 uses step 2
1:40 you need a fan replacement or thermal paste change or even a simple fan clean
2:26 you want to change your power supply or hard drive
2:35 CLEAN YOUR DISK this happened once to me when i went to play a game looked clean but it was not
2:42 same step as 1:40
2:57 replace or fix gears on blue ray drive
3:09 i gave mine a good shake but really re balance your blue ray drive
3:19 RE BALANCE for all wierd disk noises and sometime even your fan might be making that noise
4:32 hold your ps4 power button for 10 seconds until restart
4:51 just use a lan cable or check your internet if lower than 20mbps restart your internet
*always keep your ps4 in a nice place where it should always have access to cool air at all times*

***** No... It cost $540 to build yourself a nice gaming comp that can run games on Ultra. AMD 6 core and GeForce 760 AMP are 2x more powerful than a PS4/Xbox One APU. $120 CPU, $240 GPU take a hard drive from an old PC, $50 PSU $50 8GB DDR3 RAM $80 motherboard. That's before rebates and stuff...

I am a gamer and the recent release of the next gen consoles was a joke to say the least. What is even funnier to me is all the people who just had to have the new console after knowing that most of the games that these companies release are not even finished on release. What makes you think the consoles would work? Way to throw your money away! And the worst part is they will likely do it again, and again, and again.

Guys, this is all true, I used to have a day one ps4 and the power supply in it caught smoke. It had plenty of ventilation and was playing nfs rivals and when I got in the world the screen flickered and it just shut off. Never could turn it on again. I bought another ps4 and then that lasted for like 1 year and one day it just decided not to turn on. Bought a ps4 again like 4 month later and then I used it for like 2 years then it went bad. Wouldn’t turn back on without any sign it was dying. Bought another one same day it was a ps4 slim works like a charm, never had any issues it’s still playing games till this day. (Written by my brother I play pc)

Playstation have shown nothing apart from CGI.. xbox have provided consoles to media and bloggers, tear downs. It's clear sony is not ready for launch and I fear the console will be a rushed one.

Got 2 PS4s on day-one, they still work. But On a rare occasion only one of them will eject the disk when its on rest. And thats it.
If these were mail-ordered, no shit you're gonna get a faulty console, why would you order fragile shit when your mail carrier is probably some miserable ass that chucks your boxes at your front door? My only other complaint is that the fans are loud as shit. It's like a jet turbine.

FYI if anyone has that eject issue with their old PS4 (where it has the touch buttons for power and eject, instead of the physical buttons) it could be a multitude of things. For one, the buttons are capacitive touch. This means it uses anything that can hold an electrical charge, like, your skin, to get activated. Try to turn on your ps4 with gloves on, it wont work. Dust. You might have dust on your buttons, clean them off. Dust has anything from hair to skin and all kinds of nasty shit that came off your body, and a slight shift in the air can cause the button to be "pressed" by your dead skin. Get some compressed air or something and blow it, all that. If it STILL is happening (like it did for me) lemme let you know something a SONY REPRESENTATIVE told me to try. They told me, that there is a foot on the bottom of the PS4, that is right under the Eject button. And this foot, is juuuuust about touching the button. Now if you've had your PS4 in the same spot for years, like most people, it's probably settled a bit, and that rubber foot, may be juuuuust touching the button from the bottom. So what I had to do (again, was literally told to do this by Sony customer service) is pull out that rubber piece, and cut off the end of it that is touching the button. If you want, you can just take the whole foot out. It's in the middle of the PS4 it wont cause it to be off balance or anything. But I just cut the end piece off and put it back in, and haven't had any issues with it randomly ejecting ever since.
