Yo this is EXACTLY what I need as a newer player. So many new player guides are about getting rich quickly. No, help me learn the game so I can decide how fast or slow I wanna go. I appreciate these, please keep them up Can't wait to watch during my lunch break
this game is now so complicated that we need many more videos like this. your video is grate, but it left me with lots more questions because now i know what questions to ask. thanks
I just started playing in July 2024. It’s crazy that the game itself really does not teach a new player very well. Those trainings they have really don’t do much. So I looked to YT for help. Cmdr Hawkes came up a lot. He knows his stuff. But his “new” “beginner” tutorials lack a lot of steps. He’s more for intermediate or experienced players. I got totally lost on his material trading video because he was zooming through the process so fast. I had no idea what he meant by trading across the horizontal. Because he didn’t really show it. But I’ve watched a few of your videos. 1000% better. Thank you! New commanders need this.
Ya he was good back when he played the game and updated videos... he's moved on Ithink. I try to think of total begginers for mine. Better video is 50 min and shows all steps than 20 min and skips a bunch.
Concerning the cargo scoop: It is also useful as a baffle. I use it during combat (toggled by the spacebar) to slow down fast to help match enemy turning. Why an open cargo scoop acts as a baffle in vacuum, I have no idea, but it's quite useful.
@@BrandonOsborn404 you should get it on the dirst real ship you own. But I maintain you don’t need it on the starter because started will do a total of 3 missions and 2 Zenobia scans and that’s it. You will buy a new ship after turning in bios and - see day 2

For the scanner screen, you forgot the difference between squares and triangles. I believe it has to do with hardpoints being deployed or not.
Really nice guide. Permission to upload this to the Steam site guides for Elite Dangerous?
Sure - with link back
@@AtlasRandGaming Roger, I was giving you all the credit, and the link; that way gamers could also see your other videos.
@ part 2 will be uploaded tomorrow
