Received a bootleg album Elegant Gypsy.around 81 started my deep dive into fusion and jazz. Very grateful to Al and his proficiency and tone and style. Still blown away all these years later. Thanks
My parents took us to see Al at Convention Center in Asbury Park in Aug 14th 1980 .. I was 12 years old .. Thanks Mom and Dad :D ... You know how some guitar players can be a little disappointing live, without the clarity and articulation ?? .. Al D was the opposite - his albums are great, but live, he transformed into this absolute monster, his chops that night are etched in my memory forever
