On the one hand it's weird that LaCroix cares if Nick is trying to cure his vampirism. On the other hand, it's hilarious and awesome that LaCroix is messing with Nick.
I always figured LaCroix took it personally. He made Nick a vampire, and Nick wanting to undo that is something he takes offense to. First it's like Nick is being ungreatful, and second, if Nick really succeeds, it's like proving that LaCroix made the wrong choice to turn him originally. LaCroix will not stand for either of these things
Fully agree and I’d like to add the third element that’s almost too obvious that it seems pointless to highlight it but it’s also 3. LaCroix gets off on this shit
I mean, how are they going to smooch and move in together and maybe run a bookstore together for the rest of eternity if Nick stops being a vampire? So many of these things actually make more sense if you assume, beneath everything, this *is* what LaCroix actually wants.
LaCroix really does have magic messing with Nick powers. It's like... he has so many more powers than nick, but they are almost entirely dedicated to being a dick and messing with Nick rules. It's why he's such a great villain.

I adore how LaCroix's eyeshadow gets bigger with each episode. Boy's just getting sluttier with the episode count.

What I don't get about LaCroix is why he cares whether or not Nick becomes mortal again. He can just bite Nick again. It should be easy with his Nick-defeating magical powers.
And Nick cures himself and LaCroix bites him again and this continues on forever… knight

On an unrelated not, if you ever investigate a mansion full of Lovecraftian cultists, it would probably be wise not to invite me. Not until you've ensured the safety of their magical tomes, at least.
