Commenting on every video before Arakune BBCF combo trials, video 61. If you don't have a leverless controller and/or a lot of the ones are sold out, I'd recommend making your own controller. It's really easy to do so and customizable. It lets you mod your stick as well if you want to.

@@TempMaskmy board also has a USB B output. Its easy to find a USB B to C chord so it shouldnt be that big of a deal. The chord you use would just need to be longer than usual.
At evo, I decided to switch to lever-less and got a snackbox micro. It feels pretty good even though I'm still adjusting to it. My inputs are cleaner at least. Traveling to tournaments will be so much more convenient in the future with my 1.7 lb snackbox compared to having my ~12lb modded mad catz stick. If you're in the same boat and have grown tired of lugging excess weight around, consider switching.
Nice overview. I dig the little LED band and it seems like a cool option (especially for people in the UK or EU). Wish it had the option for a more SF6-centric layout though.
In the EU we don't care about UK products. STOP this UK trying to be buddy buddy with EU thing like if we were the same, you voted Brexit, you aren't EU, we don't buy from there anymore. For us is the same buying in UK or US, we have to pay taxes for it and it isn't worth it, personallly I would ratter buy in the US, with the change $ to € prices are much more atractive. Enjoy your brexit, I haven't bought anything in UK since then, same as most EU citizens. UK people thinking EU is a market for them live in a bubble. In EU we have Ultra Arcade with loads of options and personalization and Atachon with one of the best sticks out there for anyone interested :)

@@CineGoodog nearly every fighting game benefits from extra buttons lol. For strive you can have macros for run, faultless defense, burst, RC, etc etc... It's disappointing that most manufacturers don't seem to care. Also you can have buttons in easier to reach places, like your right thumb or left pinky that would otherwise be used for nothing. So it's more ergonomic and faster to press.
i remember just a few years ago people were complaining about controllers without user replaceable art or really hard to replace art and now it's becoming more prevalent and accepted on popular choices being shilled by influencers starting with the razer panthera, then the victrix, the more expensive flatbox derivatives (i'd only use one if I built one myself for $50 or less personally), the razer kitsune and now this. Not saying its a bad thing but it feels really weird.
4:21. This is such a good point. I bought the Victrix leverless after SF6 launch. Not flexing, I was just sick of pads breaking, and I never really gave stick a chance. Also, I live in US but was having issues finding a cheaper option so I just went all out. Anyway, if you get a good controller that you like, it should last you for years because you can just replace the parts when needed.

Of course it will take time to get comfortable with it, but every controller does. Edit: I still have the stick btw.
it took me about a year to get used to leverless, I am an old school player but got to keep up with the times, games are being created for the newer generations and that looks exactly what I am looking for not too small or too big, something in the middle. looking forward to the release.
Just for reference regarding the relationship between the UK and the European Union. (obviously) there are no shipping restrictions, and the shipping is cheaper than importing from the UK. Yet, you gotta pay for import taxes, this was added a couple years ago and it does scale the price up more than one would enjoy.
I'm so shocked that with how popular custom layouts with extra thumb/pointer finger accessible buttons have become and how frankly necessary they are for optimal sf6, that no popular manufacturers have updated their designs to reflect this and are still using the old classic layout.
I asked their support about this, they have a V2 designed and ready to release. They're a startup so I imagine they need capital from the universal layout first.

My kitsune came in way early and i'm loving it so far. I was using my keyboard before hand. I also like the fact that the switches are hot swap, because I'm not a huge fan of linear switches.
as a controller fetishist, I mean collector I recommend going for sanwa buttons if you them hyper sensitive but other than that I'd recommend the snackbox micro because you can put any kailh choc low profile switches you want in there it's super easy. The Overdrive really looks cool but I don't like Sanwa buttons at all compared to mechanical switches. Their press are not linear compared to the mechanical switches, like they're sensitive at the top then becomes pretty hard on the bottom so the feeling isn't really good. It all comes down to preference anyways. I'm just sad those leverless doesn't have different versions for mechanical switches and Sanwa users. I would've 100% tried it otherwise. having a hitbox+pc at home I'm looking for something for locals that use ps5... currently planning on a new snackbox asap and then maybe getting something else in a year or so, but if this does ps5 and is cheaper or more available than a snackbox they have a clean shot at my money. thanks for doing these.

"one is not better than the other" .. but, cherry switches at least, last significantly longer than arcade switches. I've been using them for a decade in my arcade sticks for that reason. Also, you can get some switches that have very similar actuation distance as average sanwa buttons

I've been looking for a leverless controller like Daigo's, with extra buttons near the bottom and left to have easy access to parry / drive impact. Are there any I can buy online? The ones I see on the market all have the hitbox standard layout.
the Furin FRS is a bit pricey if you want full support but it has some SF6-centric layouts if you go to the "FULL LAYOUTS (UNIQUE)" tab while designing the controller
I got Sanwa buttons after playing on Seimitsu buttons for years. I had to relearn how to position my hands. Literally, any resting on the buttons resulted in accidental button presses. I really loved them once I got used to them, but it definitely took time (like you said).
Not a ton but are more user friendly, a lot more space to hit the buttons on a leverless vs a regular keyboard. If you get one with buttons then the feel will be really different, or you can get one with keyboard switches which can get a very similar feel if you use the same switches.

Sanwa buttons are terrible for all buttons imo, sthey are WAY too sensitive, you cant lay your fingers on it. I dont thin that's worth for me unless you have a set of mechanical buttons to switch
8BitDo is the only company to release an arcade stick for Xbox, while Hori discontinued the FS Alpha for Xbox. But, at least we have Wingman converters. I really hate that a lot of fighting game controllers are limited to PlayStation as if they have a monopoly on the FGC…

These leverless shits are overpriced and always sold out. How does the FGC always find something new to push forward, as if having one of these rarities makes you a better player by default. I can't justify buying one, doesn't matter who makes it the price for the form factor is not clicking for me. Spending $200 on a FS makes more sense for me due to what you get for functionality, size, weight, and quality. These hitboxes for me are not worth the price and being on a 6 month waiting list is ridiculous. Have fun guys enjoying fighting games. I'm just salty 😂

Leverless needs an updated layout standard for reachable Parry and DI buttons.
you can do a custom yourself or pay for someone to do it, or play on fightpad. Not everything is about SF6.
Where would you suggest the buttons go and what fingers would it rely on?

I'm digging the spread out layout- like a Shiokenstar with smaller buttons. Normal Hitbox layout has my fat hands way too scrunched.
There's a restock on the PS5 PCB for the micro. You should consider getting it if you want to use the micro for console.

Sanwa and qanba buttons are so good. I have a mix, qanba for ⬆️⬇️➡️ ⬅️ and sanwa for the rest.

Doing "motion" inputs on leverless is practically skipping the motion part. Its like having modern on classic.

It's like playing a game on keyboard where space is jump. If you've ever been much of a PC gamer it's a pretty clean transition

Sanwa buttons are terrible for all buttons imo, sthey are WAY too sensitive, you cant lay your fingers on it. I dont thin that's worth for me unless you have a set of mechanical buttons to switch

@@CarbyGuuGuutrust me things aren’t great for us PlayStation ponies, Sony has made it pointlessly hard to use older or unofficial controller on ps5 so you have to spend a lot on an official one, an adapter, or one like this where just the board inside adds like £100 to the price. You can’t even really padhack bc it’s really hard with the dualsense and there’s literally no cheaper ps5 controller than that

They run EVO, and unless you expect players no NOT primarily play on the hardware that EVO uses (this is important because there is a minor input delay difference between platforms, sometimes enough to change reversal timing slightly) sony runs the fgc now

These leverless shits are overpriced and always sold out. How does the FGC always find something new to push forward, as if having one of these rarities makes you a better player by default. I can't justify buying one, doesn't matter who makes it the price for the form factor is not clicking for me. Spending $200 on a FS makes more sense for me due to what you get for functionality, size, weight, and quality. These hitboxes for me are not worth the price and being on a 6 month waiting list is ridiculous. Have fun guys enjoying fighting games.
