Hoik is definitely a word! 😂 Oh what a relief to get Ian home safe and sound - we’ve lost pets in the past a cat, (never came back 😢) a dog, a Guinea pig and a hamster (indoors) - such a relief to get them back - I cried over them coming back I was so relieved. Loved spending time with you and cannot wait to meet you at East Anglia Yarn Festival. Sorry about all the trouble with the post office and Etsy. I felt your angst losing Ian, your pets are so precious and you do worry about them. Glad you found him and he is safe and sound xxx
If you can't moan to your friends who can you moan to😆. James is very sensible about worrying, if you can't fix it, don't worry about it. So thankful you have Ian back safe and sound. Love the cardigan you are wearing, beautiful color. I really love the sock memory blanket your making for James. Glad you have decided to keep going with the dark blue cardigan, it is such a beautiful design. Good luck at EAYF, I hope you have a successful time. Take care

So glad you found Ian , I know just how you felt, I lost my good friend ( black cat Ling) once, he jumped off the third floor balcony and ran off. By the time I got down there he was gone and wouldn’t come back. I got a picture of him blown up and copied and posted them all through the neighbourhood while calling and crying . I was awake most of the night crying and was so happy when some kids showed up at the door with him in the morning. Lots of beautiful yarn and projects, crafts, lovely to have a little visit with you today. Just a stressful day today and you’ve cheered me up well.🙋🏼♀️🥰
Thanks for another "lovely" podcast. So glad Ian came home safe and sound. I have said it before and I will say it again your knitting is terrific. I am sure that you will do well and have a wonderful time at the Yarn show and I would love to see what you bring.
So glad baby Ian is back! I hope he learned his lesson about going so far from home. Your socks are lovely! The pattern is very nice as is the color. Very nice cardigan. The color looks very nice on you. The baby sweater is very nice. Your friend will love it. I would love to see a video of what you are taking to the yarn and wool show.
Loved all your knitting and crochet Paula and what a beautiful bounty of marvellous mini skeins, pure joy. So glad you have baby Ian back again too, take care lovely lady 🧶🧵✨
Hi Paula, Hoick is definitely a word, my mum used to use it when she was talking about "young lads" in the village who used to be up to no good. Lovely video as usual, was grateful we saw Ian before you told us the story, have had that experience myself with my first cat when he was little missing for two and a half days and we found him stuck up a tree. The best of luck for the East Anglia Yarn Fedtival, having seen the items you make, you will have no problem. Chris from Kent
Yes please, to the "What I'm taking to the show" video. I live in Western Australia, and I don't think I can make it to the show myself, 🤭but I would love to see what you make. Love your videos. xx
Oh Paula! That baby cardigan is so beautiful! My cousin is expecting now, and I am very tempted to make that for her. So glad you found baby Ian-- as a new kitten owner myself, I would have been doing the same as you and would have been terrified. Hugs from NYC! 😊
YES PLEASE! to the "what I'm taking to the show" video!!! Love all your makes. Those blues and greens are stunning!!! The blanket will be stellar! Thanks for the lovely visit...kisses to baby Ian!
Hi Paula so nice to see you glad you found Ian, it is a worry when your pet goes missing . Would definitely would like to see what you will be selling at the show.. Happy crafting!
I'm so happy you found your kitty,. I would of done the same thing,.. 🤦😵💫😣😬😭😥 I get emotional,. Over kitty cats.... 💕😊😁 I fall to pieces...it's apart of us,.. when we raise them... 💕😊
Poor dear, I know exactly what you mean. My deaf cat, Clancy, was missing for SIX weeks!!!. I thought I would loose my mind! I just knew he was gone for sure. As it turned out, he was stuck in the basement of a partially finished construction site in our neighborhood, which, luckily must have had a water source, and maybe a few mice. Anyway, he was found, had lost half his body weight, but survived somehow. As you now know, your life is completely up-side-down. As you all to well know, the pain is terrible! He never went outside again! I raced to our paper delivery boys' home, where he was spotted, after being freed, brought him home, he ate, then collapsed on the rug. I'm glad your baby is home safe. And you are happy as well. Love your mug. Yes, please make the video of your show goods. Happy spring.
Love the lipstick on you.The nave sweater is lovely and like you I enjoy making baby things . We have 11 wonderful grand children so lots of knitting .
So great to see you! I always enjoy seeing all your lovely makes. I’ve started a new blanket blankets are very addictive🤣 I’m so glad you found Ian. He is precious. Yes, I would love to see what you would take to the yarn festival. It’s always wonderful to see your beautiful bags and bears.
I totally understand your frustration with Etsy. We have a mail order business too and it seems like we spend most of our time pulling our hair out dealing with things like that. Don't mind you venting at all. So glad Ian is ok. Anyone who is a pet owner knows exactly what you were feeling. It is awful and anytime someone comes by looking for their puppy or kitty I just want to cry with them. Love that lipstick on you. I have one similar to that and it is my favorite go to color. It's not too dark or too light just right. Would love to see a "what you are taking" video if it isn't too much work. Sorry so long winded but another great video. 😍😍😍
My experience with run away animals is, one or two nights they are out and alone. They find their way back and never want to leave again. It would be nice to have. Video from the show when you are there for those of us who can't go would be awesome. Love your sharing ❤️❤️
Cats really do have 9 lives. They have a knack for getting into trouble. My sisters cat went missing years ago and they searched inside and out, high and low. No cat, 3 days later they heard her crying, narrowed it down and she was in the spare bedroom. She had climbed into a drawer and down the back, the drawer was closed, and that’s where she was for 3 days.
I’m going to the EAYF. It will be the first yarn show I’ve ever visited. I’m so looking forward to this. I will be going on the Sunday and will look forward to meeting you. So glad that Ian came home. Xx
I was so happy to see your vlog appear this afternoon 🥰 Would love to see the video of the things you’re taking with you and would also love to see any photos you might take on the day. You’ll do great xx
I was so invested in the story about the missing Ian!! I was literally like please find him please lol 😂 Also I love pixie yarns! I've knit a few socks with her yarn. She has such fun colorways.
Hi Paula. Lovely podcast. Beautiful makes. I say ‘hoick’ too 😆. Hope it all goes well at the yarn festival. Looks like I’ll see you at the knitting retreat in November 😊 Sarah
Hi Paula, so nice to see a video from you again! As usual it was great catching up. So glad Ian is back home where he belongs. I’m glad you changed your mind about finishing your blue cardigan….it will be fabulous. I hope you change your mind about doing March vlogs. I so love your vlogs! Feel free to complain about the mail situation much as you want & also about the situation with Etsy….both sound so frustrating! ❤
Oh Paula! I just found out about your wonderful Dennis. I am so so sorry for your enormous loss. Sending my biggest Hugs and thoughts to you and your lovely family ❤️❤️❤️
I'm so glad Ian is safe, he is such a cutie and part of the family. Yes please, I would love to see what you're taking to the EAYS and would love to see some pictures of your stall when it's set up. I live in Australia so no chance of coming over to have a look. I must say I love all the blue and green mini's you bought from Layfamilyyarn. Have a great time at the yarn show. 🥰
Yes please to showing us your items you made you are taking to the yarn festival - I am in New Zealand so wont be attending any yearn festivals - love your podcasy
I remember when my daughter in laws cat went missing. We all had to have a day off work. Unfortunately it had been run over🥲 glad you found Ian safe🐱xx
So glad baby Ian is back safe after his big adventure! I would love to see what you are taking to the yarn festival as I can’t attend myself. I’m sure you will do very well as you make beautiful things!
So glad Ian is safe. I have been that person walking blocks and blocks around our home whistling (our cat usually runs to me when I do it) and calling his name many times, all our neighbors know both me and our cat. I totally understand how heartbreaking and all consuming a missing cat can be.
So pleased to see a video from you and so pleased you found Ian. Reminded me of when my dog Sophie ran away and my husband (he wasn’t my husband at the time) came along the road with her and I couldn’t believe it! It’s horrible when they are missing. I would love to see what you are taking to the yarn festival.
So pleased to see the cheeky scamp known as Ian.. surprised that there are any photo's of him that aren't handsome! Yes "HOICK" is a word, though I did think it was Northumbrian. Lovely catch up as always and yes, I would like to see all your Wares for the Fair. Wishing you all the best time; shame I live so far away xx
I’m so glad you got Ian back safely, I had tears in my eyes listening to his missing story. I love the cardigan you’re wearing, the colour suits you. The neon pink socks are so pretty as are the baby knits that you’re making. 👍😊🧶🧶
Lucky I just finished off watching . Managed to get a sock back from the shop. Not sure if it was just me but there was no payment option showing for me when I tried to buy it on my phone so I had to go onto my iPad instead. That baby cardigan is so pretty Paula, I wish I had a baby to knit it for. Xx
Dave is the finder of lost things at my house too! Any time something is lost he looks and looks and looks until he finds it. Yes! You need to finish that beautiful navy cardigan. It's fabulous! Can't wait for F1 to start too! Who do you cheer for? Everyone in the family has their favorite. Mine is George Russell. Whom is yours? Glad you found Ian! 🐈⬛
So glad Ian came home safe and sound! Definitely finish that navy cardigan is it really lovely! I wish I could get to the yarn show. Please let us know what you are taking along! I’m sure you will have a wonderful time as everyone will want to meet you! Take care x
I can’t have cats because I am too afraid to let them outside and it seems cruel to keep them inside 100% of the time. I have two dogs with GPS collars and a well fortified backyard. I get very attached to my pets and am very sensitive to any animal being in peril. Great idea to use the bell. I would have done exactly as James and you did. You have a tender heart. ❤
How good to see you Paula I’m liking the blanket knitting good mini stash buster 👍 The minis from Lay family are very pretty I’m a turquoise aqua blue green person my eye always goes to those shades first I’m going to EAYF on 18th Saturday looking forward to catching up with you face to face this time I missed you last year & left James’s yarn with SCNTO( is that right ) your friend ? & saw the socks you knitted for him 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 over Vlogtober I’m hoping to buy one of your bucket bin bags linen look with bunting it’s going to be my show treat so I will be interested in a vlog of show goodies Take care see you at EAYF ❤
I just love your videos and everything you make. You are so talented. I sew, knit and cross-stitch but there's just something about other people's stuff to get you excited, isn't there 🙂 Where do you find your lovely fabrics? I can understand you getting so upset about Ian going missing. It's happened to me before too and you worry sick! Wish I could go to your show but I'm 'across the pond' unfortunately. UkAly in Illinois ❤️🇬🇧
Lovely to catch up 🥰 Your tale of woe losing Ian had me 🤣🤣🤣 I knew he was safe so there was no peril, and the way you describe yourself and what the neighbours think is so funny! Hoik is deffo a word, even my autocarrot agrees 🤓 Taking it one step further, my sewing machine doesn’t have an arm, just the table bit you can’t take off. Sewing anything small diameter has to be done inside out with frequent ‘hoikage’ to get it around 😊🤣
You could literally talk about paint drying and I would still enjoy watching you! Seriously! Never think you're boring.
Ooooo I love it when I see a stitched by Mrs D notification 😍 I actually fist pump ✊️ the air and say YESSSSSS very loudly 😂🧶❤️
I’m glad Ian is home. What a fright. You are such an expert knitter. I’m proud of you for finishing the navy cardigan! It is amazing.

How good to see you Paula
I’m liking the blanket knitting good mini stash buster 👍
The minis from Lay family are very pretty I’m a turquoise aqua blue green person my eye always goes to those shades first
I’m going to EAYF on 18th Saturday looking forward to catching up with you face to face this time I missed you last year & left James’s yarn with SCNTO( is that right ) your friend ? & saw the socks you knitted for him 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 over Vlogtober
I’m hoping to buy one of your bucket bin bags linen look with bunting it’s going to be my show treat so I will be interested in a vlog of show goodies
Take care see you at EAYF ❤
I just love your videos and everything you make. You are so talented. I sew, knit and cross-stitch but there's just something about other people's stuff to get you excited, isn't there 🙂 Where do you find your lovely fabrics? I can understand you getting so upset about Ian going missing. It's happened to me before too and you worry sick! Wish I could go to your show but I'm 'across the pond' unfortunately. UkAly in Illinois ❤️🇬🇧
Glad to hear Ian is home and well, and yes, hoick is definitely a word. Thanks for sharing what you're making
