Memories of provisioning in Florid for the Bahamas and again in Venezuela for the Carib. Replace the tequila for Rum and you still do not have enough. The French Pacific will be a great source of ship's stores. Fair Winds.
Nah, that wasn't too much beer! 8 - O LOL And, heck, down sizing the med kit, . . . the alcohol in beer may help with sterilizing a cut or scrape. Also, if you drink enough you won't care that you are wounded. Hahaha Besides all that, it is amazing to see Grace and Bill finding so many storage spots on Calico Skies! Holly Molly : - )
Love watching you guys have so much fun and so happy your mom could be there ❤! I’m absolutely astounded at how much food and alcohol you fit on Calico Skies! Did your water line go down much 😂😂. What a feat! I’m impressed. Great episode of your final times before you set off.
Although I know you've already arrived safely in FP, I'm still so looking forward to the passage and of course the video of your arrival. The stress behind you, it will be time to relax, party and explore!
Hi Bill and Grace. Great video. Nice that your Mom could come and visit and help and have fun. Sure a ton of provisioning, wow. Looking forward to the big adventure!
Considering what is going on in FP I think I'd have a big round block of cheese, I think that might be ok in the bilge but I'd have to check with the cheese guys (I grew up in a coastal area with cheese makers. ) . And, with the meats, I think I'd bring a bunch of jerky along with the fresh meats. If not frozen, their toast. A month just to get there ! Stuff is gold their ! I like the delos idea of the Still. That process looked pretty easy. Can't wait for that Pirate Ship to go. I guess they are in a yard ?
After you wash your avocados and lemons, you can put them together in your fridge and the avocados will last for weeks. Don't know why this works but it does.
Awesome video guys❤ I pulled a Calico Skies once and had to stow the last 5 case's of beer in my chain locker!!! They were the first to go😊😎🇨🇦❤️ Just a old dude from Pender Harbour BC
Your Moms visit......Priceless! Love when you can see family! And love the sailing community family as well. It truly does take a village! I know you have made it safe to FP however, I'm looking forward to your passage videos. Take care, have fun and stay safe!
Happy fun video. Great to see you with all your friends and of course, MOM!!!! Will check in next week for you beginning sail! Fair winds and smooth seas. Love you guys, Doc
Great that your Mom was able to visit, and that the video came out on Mothers' Day seemed so appropriate. Impressive job provisioning. Look forward to your journey.
It takes a village. Your friends love you. They don’t do their boat projects to help you. They love you instead. It takes a village. Your friends love you and that speaks volumes of Calico.
All that beer reminds me of being on a snapper boat in the gulf. I was a young kid. We had that much beer or more at the dock. Due to shove off at day break. Most all beer gone before we left. All crews at the dock drank it all. Guess it’s easier to shanghi more crew. Lol🤠
Let the adventure crossing Pacific begin. So excited for you two. I didn't realize the amount of supplies food, drink, ect you needed and yes the Islands are expensive. That was a lot of Beer and Tequila. Even though it was the cheap Tequila 😉. Hopefully you'll have room in your freezers or fridge for the fish you'll hopefully catch along the way. Really nice video and looking forward to next one. cheers you two
Amazed to see Calico with white topsides still visible. Provisioning has always been my point of failure, I get the beer part right but the rest is a mystery, a black art best left to those who understand the dynamics of shelf-life and storage. Tbh I had to watch the careful storage tutorial in the pink shorts many many times, still not got it. 😅😅😅😅 There is still the dingy if you need more beer storage, just tow it and double tie the lines. You know when you have gone too far when you look up and find beer cases balanced on the spreaders.
Incredible ! I know you two are almost to your destination in the South Pacific but, this episode was perfect in every way ! Thank you for your video and editing work and, thank you for sharing your adventure ! Be safe and enjoy the moments of your journey ! Be kind and helpful to your sailing partner. I've heard that is an important thing to do in the sailing life.....
My Grandfather always said : Look at your Mother-in-law and your seeing your wife in 20 years ! I'll be dang if i didn't merry my Mother-in-law ! Lmao. Fare Wind and Sails to you both ! remember Wet side down Dry side up !
As I recall, you raised the waterline on Calico Skies during your time 8n the boatyard. With all that food (and alcohol), how are you floating? Have you passed the new waterline?

Thank you!! 😍
You are going to need your raise your water line with all that beer! Haha. Great episode!
LOL good thing we did during our last haul out !
Teehee, noticed your Irish Cream in the background of a shot. That's my favorite coffee creamer in the morning.
😏
Love the shear madness of provisioning.
😂
Your videos keep getting better!
Thank you!
Tucson bites unless your at the Salt River every weekend...surfers from Cali need water...lol

She heavy! waterline is down but not above the raised waterline from last year LOL
Wow, to think that I'm going to have to do that on my tiny boat about a year from now.
Crazy the amount of supplies required for 3-6 months
You guys could probably do a great job provisioning the international space station or the US Navy.
I love this comment!!!
Although I know you've already arrived safely in FP, I'm still so looking forward to the passage and of course the video of your arrival. The stress behind you, it will be time to relax, party and explore!

Nice, looks like you've got it covered... not enough beer though... :)
You got that right!

Wild, groovy episode. So much over the top food and drink shopping. How does you ship float with all the beer in it? LOL!
Good question!
It's happening! So happy for you. It's been a long way to finally get here. 😁
Yes! Thank you!
After you wash your avocados and lemons, you can put them together in your fridge and the avocados will last for weeks. Don't know why this works but it does.
We've also heard to put avacados in water in the fridge, our friends lasted 3 weeks

Thank you!! We are working on the passage videos now!
How excited was Bill for that beer delivery? 😅
😝you know me too well!
Great video
That’s not beer. Thats movable ballast. You need ballast to make the boat sail better.
😂
Wish I could send y’all a bottle of good home made wine
😋 yum!
Amazing Grace.. enough said.💐🇺🇸
Thank you!
Luv that
Happy fun video. Great to see you with all your friends and of course, MOM!!!! Will check in next week for you beginning sail! Fair winds and smooth seas. Love you guys, Doc

Yes lol, the provisioning could be for up to 6 months!

We still have waterline, glad we raised it up, makes keeping the hull clean!
Very excited for you guys.
Thank you!
Looked like a great going away party!
The best!
Thank you!
wow can you pack your boat well! maybe your in fp now?
Totally! She heavy LOL
Another great video! do you have any info on the cotton veggie storage bags? I’d like to get some.
Not cheap but worth it for for us :)
www.theswag.com.au/
That's not enough beer. That would only last 4 days on a Australian sailboat 🤣🤣.
Hahaha we run a dry boat on passage so should have good stores for the months through the islands
You're going to capsize your boat if you pack too much more booze on her. 😅
hahahah she's the heaviest she has ever been!
What a big haul of alcohol! If I didn't know better I'd think yall were alcoholics or smugglers. Good luck on the Pacific and God speed.
😂 gotta be prepared! We were warned lol. We could be out here for 6 months or more
I'm sure glad I don't drink any more.
How far did your water line move up after loading everything in?
hahah she's sinking down!
It's all about prioritising, so you need to throw away your life raft and fill the case with alcohol. 😉
😂 exactly!
❤⚓🖖
Kinda sad you’re leaving.
That looks like Delos back in the day
we learn from the best :)
And you're gonna just breeze over the fact they have an escalator that takes the cart up too?!?!?
Cool eh?!
BAGELS
would love a NY bagel right now HA
Party animals you guys are....lol
🍾🍾 LOL
great video
