I should never have sold my Alvarez Acoustic Guitar . Excellent quality and value . 🇺🇸☮️✨✨✨🏅🎼🎼🎼🎼
I'm hoping to be able to buy an fym66HD at some point in the future, but it will take me awhile to save up for it. Do you still have enough of that amazing Honduran mahogany that you will be making them for awhile, yet? I really don't want to miss out. 😟
Absolutely loving the channel. The information and transparency is phenomenal and inspiring. Keep up the great work! 🙌
Thank you for watching, Rick!
I always enjoy your videos. Great information and great guitar demos (though obviously
not in this one).
Thanks very much, @yogarich!
Liked the discussion but really missed you playing in the introduction! I would like to ask is if you would ever consider making an all graphite guitar? Something that can nearly be hosed off since we camp in extreme humidity and temperatures. Thanks, Julie
Thanks Julie! We will pass that along, we always love a jam 👍
On differences between rosewood and mahogany, it is as discussed.
But, you can shape the sound by changing your strings, picks, etc.
Also, if you have a singular or distinctive style, you will sound like you regardless of the guitar you are playing at the moment.
I have seven Alvarez guitars, as well as a Godin and a couple of Takamine guitars.
My wife can pick out my playing with her back to the stage, regardless of what guitar is in my lap.
That's very true, thanks for the insights, Gilbert, and for watching 👍
As far as Laminate guitars, a well made laminate will outlive you.
I have a model 5013 from 1980.
I have always kept it strung with 12-53 or lighter. I actually ran 10-50’s for a lot of years. I used brass bridge pins and they kept the volume higher due to vibrational mass.
Not only is that guitar still going strong, it’s hanging on the stand in my living room when I can’t keep out a more “delicate” all solid guitar.
👍🙏✌️
You two are grossartig,
"Freude herrscht!."
greetings from the sunny climes of Basle, Switzerland
Merci vielmal, André! We love Basel, beautiful city 🇨🇭
Joo, find i au Miisly 😅
Your area rep for west coast is awesome, great company all around in my opinion
Thank you, @MegaRomans01! 👍
Other than the baritone, which Alvarez would be a good choice for tuning D to D?
I want a shorter scale than a baritone but I also want a full and rich tone when tuned D to D.
I'm thinking medium gauge strings would work best.
My Alvarez ap1965 has the tone and sustain of an angels harp. Can you tell me what woods were used and also do you use the same woods in an OM size guitar. Thanks
I own 4 Alvarez guitars today. There is something I’m looking for but Alvarez currently doesn’t have. Would you ever consider making a solid wood top and solid bottom with Alvarez’s quality laminate sides? There is some science behind what it can do to for transferring energy to the back as the sides are harder. The energy does. It degrade as much as if it has to travel through a softer substance like real wood.
They already have. Look up the Professional Series that they used to sell. I have an Alvarez PD-85S-AV, solid spruce top, solid rosewood back, laminate rosewood sides. A great sounding and playing guitar. Keep an eye out for used ones, they're worth it.
I just bought a PD361. The PD series is an older series from over 10 years ago.
Does Alvarez produce a 000 w/ sitka spruce top with acacia back and sides ?
Does every MD60HD have AAA tops or just new series. I have seen in some shops spec with AA
Can I put medium gauge on my Md60? I play bluegrass.
What is techwood?
I have just bought my fist 2 decent acoustic guitars, PD361 & vintage Korean Regent 5225. Finding information about my new to me guitars is almost impossible. Do you plan on making a catalog or anything similar of all of the guitars made throughout the years?
No plans for that type of catalog at the moment, however if you have any specific questions please reach out to us at info@alvarezguitars.com👍
Is there a reason why we can only get electronics in the cutaway OM? The Masterworks series looks awesome, I wanted the acoustic electric one but I'm really not a fan of the look of cutaway guitars.
Thanks for the feedback, @rruiz9613! We have much more to share with you. Will pass this comment along.
Alvarez are thee best value Acoustic guitars you can get! Nothing comes close. The masterworks series is unreal for the money. My only gripe is the pickup used. The LR Baggs element used in the artist models is better than the new LR Baggs vtc. The new vtc distorts at any volume. Please upgrade the pickups in your guitars. This is not a complaint, just a suggestion. Cheers
Are you guys ever gonna make md60bg in sunburst model??
Thanks for the feedback, @Whitty. We have some cool things planned with LR Baggs coming up 👍
I'm about to buy a mf60OM but can't find much info about it. It's the BG smaller brother. what say you?
I have one of these and can’t say a bad word against it. I played Taylor’s, Martins, and others in the same price range and they don’t compare.
Does Yairi use hide glue?
Hi Douglas, yes we do. Thanks for watching. 👍
😀
Hey Stephen!
