  • Hello guys!🙌
Today I have the second of four old knives that I bought in one lot for restoration.
I named this knife "Bandit's Dagger" as soon as I saw the finished result. These are my associations.
    Restoration process:
As usual, I used electrolysis to remove rust. Electrolysis does not affect good metal, but only removes rust.
I wanted to test my new miter saw so much that I completely forgot that this dagger does not require a handle to be divided into two parts, but only a through hole needs to be drilled and the tail of the knife put on.
Then, after a bit of sadness, I found a way out of the situation.
After electrolysis, I cleaned the dagger with a brass brush, and started the final assembly.
I smeared all parts of the handle very well with epoxy glue, and squeezed it with a clamp for 24 hours.
Then he processed the handle on an impromptu grinder, finalized the shape of the handle with a rasp and a file.
Then I used sandpaper from 240 to 2000 grit, and covered with wood finish oil.
I really liked the result, I hope you do too.
There are many more cool and interesting videos on the channel, I will be grateful if you watch some of them!
Good luck to you all and take care of yourself!
    See you next week!
    Best regards Max!

For making a mistake on the handle, it turned out gorgeous. Great job

@@ITBR_Restoration please be aware, most people in the West know that the issues of government policies seldom reflect on the common citizens (with notable exceptions where citizens do mostly fully endorse bad actors, Gaza and Hamas come to mind but I won't get into all that...) My point being, I don't blame you for the actions of your nation or its leadership and you do beautiful work on the knives... May I ask what the type of wood was in the handle? It turned out beautifully...

Great work. That handle really is unique. The unicorn scooting across the screen was pretty hilarious.

Wow!!!! You have an incredible talent to see the project complete in your mind!!! The handle was a spectacular combination of skill and execution. I thought the pattern on the blade was very interesting as well. Well done sir!! The Old Army Scout…

Great restoration 😊 Are the dents in the blade meant to be there, or are they from erosion?

Мне не нравится, что на центральных элементах вы сделали КРУГЛОЕ отверстие, а не прямоугольник под хвостовик. И ещё что крепление элементов ТОЛЬКО не клей (нет стопора) . удачи вам

Beautiful work. I did get nervous watching you wear gloves using your saw. I dont allow gloves to be used with most power tools in my shop. You lose the feel of your hands to your work and theres always a danger of getting snagged. Just my rules for safety.

Glad you got the table saw, arguably the most important tool for a woodworking. However, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! I'm sure they will tell you to set the blade about 1/2" - 1" above the stock you're sawing.

Waste of a good knife with your half hearted attempt , your like going to a mechanic who only has adjustable wrenches. Very underwhelming

Um bom trabalho, porém fugiu totalmente da originalidade de uma restauração, retirou duas divisões, não deu acabamento na lâmina e não afiou a mesma.
