I am an ozempic patient for my diabetes. The weight loss patients use of wegovy and ozempic have made Ozempic scarce for diabetics. It took me 3 months but I was able to get my insurance company to approve the Ozempic. The weight loss has been good but the lowering of my a1c will probably save my life.
they are both chronic diseases. Type 2 diabetic patients aren't more important than obesity patients. They are getting necessary medicine just like you
Seems unfair that people who need it to potentially save their lives can't get this drug because of people using it to get in a dress they want to wear to the red carpet, like not going to name names, but then they get on tic toc, everyone wants it. Weight loss is good for health, but if you are already diabetic, you should have priority, and it should be made affordable, and easily approved.
@@mercedesmcvey1776 People who take it for weight loss have to be obese and have a co-morbidity which means the drug is saving their life as well. This drug treats type 2 diabetes which is also a weight related disease, not genetic.
I am chronically ill, been on chemo and prednisone nonstop for 17 years. I'm on other meds for side effects of other drugs (take care of your health everyone). So, I'm on many drugs that make it so hard to lose weight. I gained over 150 pounds from being bed ridden, disease and meds. I have tried EVERY DIET, program, medications etc since I can remember...even a surgery, to lose weight. Yes, some worked a bit, but it never lasted. I felt like a loser, quitter and really hated myself. OZEMPIC, so far, has stopped me from feeling hungry, thinking about food, and it makes it that I only eat a real single serving. This is how normally thin people must feel? I never EVER felt like this before. I pray it becomes more affordable for all. I've lost 30lbs since september and I feel high from it all. I feel "normal" and if you have fought weight most of your life you'll understand what I'm feeling. The side effects are real. I get some stomach problems (constipation and diarrhea), and burp all the time LOL, and nausea IS REAL. It's worse than the chemo I take weekly. I asked my doctor for zofran and it really helps. I usually take 1 to 2 zofran a week. I Did have diabetes, but after taking ozempic for the past few months along with metformin now sugars are fine. I also stopped taking metformin since things are ok now, and that was the cause of so many gut problems. I'm SO RELIEVED to be off that. I don't know if ozempic is a miracle, but I can say, that after taking it about 2 months, food never crosses my mind. And even when physically hungry I don't feel the need to curb it. I'm eating, don't get me wrong, but maybe 1 full meal A DAY right now. instead of 3 full meals. A chicken breast, salad, a side dish usually is eaten within the day but as small meals. Does that make sense? It took at least 6 weeks to really kick in, so don't give up. If you make little money you can get it free Just go on the ozempic manufacturer's web page and look up patient assistance. You can also get it for $25 a month if you have private insurance or through an employer. I'm only telling people because I know what it's like to be sick and have so much going against you...this stuff has helped me physically, but mentally, too I don't hate myself as much. Many of you will understand what I mean.
If it helps people lose weight, I don't understand why certain pharmacies and doctors don't want to fill it! Who cares? If the person is nearly 300 pounds but isn't YET diabetic, why on earth would you not want to help BEFORE they are?! Really really frustrating

What helped me lose weight was moving out of S. Louisiana and trying foods prepared in different ways. I love the food, I love seafood, french bread, etc but most of us from this area aren't raised cooking or eating in the healthiest way. Not to mention there are healthier ways of celebrating than getting drunk and eating a ton of food.
I agree. Moved 18 years ago to Georgia and my diet has totally changed. I don't cook a ton of starches anymore I no longer eat white rice or beef and pork with the exception of bacon....lol. I never was the one to sit around drinking but I did indulge in it whenever I went to a party. Something I don't do anymore. Sometimes people have to change their environment and their mindset if they know they want to do better. I love the food I grew up on cuz it's my heritage and that's something that will always stick with me but I've learned how to do it in moderation. I could never give up my gumbo.

I’ve been on Saxenda since May 1,2022 and have lost between 25-30 lbs ( currently plateauing between 190-195) I never had the nausea or headaches that a friend of mine has or I’m reading here. I have noticed that sweets are not tasting as awful as they did in the beginning so now is where willpower is going to come in. This medication should be available for all to prevent health cost. Being overweight causes health problems. I'm overweight and was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I need this drug and hope I can get some. I also tried everything to lose weight and nothing helped.
I was on a strict Paleo diet and walked religiously for 2 years in the mountains of Idaho. I became an aerobic monster and I got stronger with resistance training, free weights and machine training... I'm 73. I got stronger....I didn't lose a God Damn pound. But on Mounjaro, I'm 75 lbs lighter , strong and aerobic.... screw the old way...better living thru chemistry I say .
I was contemplating this medication until I started doing IF..16:4..I fast for 16 hours and eat within a four hour window..not only have I lost 15 pounds in two weeks but I noticed my cravings have all diminished..I plan to make this a lifestyle ..Intermittent fasting works just as much plus you don't need to get a shot or a booster ..
@@hkitty007 You can start with a shorter one and build from there. There are different lengths of IF. Start from when you've had your last meal of the day, skip breakfast (just have coffee to stave off the hunger), if you must eat, then have a boiled egg, then lunch and dinner. You will soon learn to live on only 2 meals a day and you will be less hungry throughout the day. Your body needs time to be able to digest food. Eating all the time, is not helping it. Hence why people get sick. Look up Dr Eric Berg on UA-cam. He'll give you amazing advice to start the weightloss journey, which doesn't include taking meds. It's not only a diet change, but a lifestyle change.
IF isn't effective for everyone--at least the more moderate protocols. I tried the 16:8 protocol daily and was very intentional about it for 8 months with very few results until I finally just gave up on it. I follow Dr. Fung on UA-cam who is a huge proponent of IF for diabetes management and insulin resistance. He also stated that some people don't respond to moderate IF protocols and may need to do something more extreme which I am definitely not a fan of. If I fasted for longer periods; I could probably get the results. However, I don't see that as being a long-term, sustainable option.
I've done 36 hour fasts a week with a 5 hour window the rest of the week and also restricted my diet to 20 carbs a day. No processed food at all. Vegetables, fish and eggs. Maximum of 1100 calories but usually less. Guess what? It stopped working and my weight plateaued without changing anything about my diet or exercise routine. I just got Ozempic to help with weight loss and pre-diabetes. I had gastric sleeve back in 2019, and lost close to 100lbs but hit a plateau and started gaining weight during COVID. So I heard about Wegovy but Wegovy is back order and Ozempic is the same drug, so I will start next week. And it is covered by insurance because of my pre-diabetes.

I tried 1.5mg yesterday. I don’t exactly feel really good and I definitely don’t want to eat. I feel sick if I try to eat. I don’t think I can work out if I keep feeling like this. I don’t want to lose muscle, so I’ll have to force feed myself some protein shakes.
Doses seem to be around .25 mg. Taking a 6x dose and not enjoying the feeling isn’t a big surprise. Some might scale back to standard dosage and ease up if necessary.
I stared at .25 then .50 I stoped because I finally stopped feeling nauseous. I have to go up to 1.0. Well not have too. But better numbers if I do. I have diabetes. We can’t get ozempic in Canada fir anything else I really only need to lose maybe 20. The most 25. I’ve been loosing on .5. Just littlevat a time. It’s winter too I’m just glad I’m not gaining lol. I just didn’t know people take 1.5. Interesting.
It’s not the carbs. It’s the foods that are all carbs+fats. Cake is carbs+fats disguised as carbs. Fats have 9cal per gram and carbs have 4cal per gram. It’s pretty much impossible to over eat with low fats unless you eat yourself sick. Get some more lean proteins like chicken breast and fish. Shrimp are almost all protein and dont worry about the mercury it’s not a problem in shrimp. People be eating chips and ice cream when their bodies are hungry for MEAT and beans
I am glad this works for you but I do not like putting medications in my body when I do not know what the long term effects could be. I also heard a few doctors say that once you stop taking this drug, you will gain weight so you have to take it for the rest of your life if you want to keep the weight off.
I understand and felt the same way, until I started seeing the long term effects of being overweight, which is just as bad, and since I am in a wheelchair its more challenging to stay active, like I can't walk, etc. so it is important to lose weight.
My weight-loss doctor prescribed the generic injection, semaglutide and adipex for weight-loss. She calls it in to a pharmacy, named Empower here in Houston. The semaglutide is less than $60 and it's simply the generic name for Ozempic. Empower provides personalized medication that is both convenient and economical.
Semaglutide is not available in generic form yet, and won't be until Sept 2023 at the soonest, but more likely 2024. I just read an article about the civil litigation regarding the drug manufacturer, Novo Nordisk. Ozempic is a name brand drug, not a generic, and people on Medicaid won't be able to access it. People on private insurance will have an easier time.
I’m on 1mg ozempic for diabetes/weight loss. It’s improved my diabetes, but no weight loss. One thing to know, if you inject on the inside of your thigh (the fleshy part), any nausea you may get from it gets reduced.
U will see effects in 8 weeks so u start out on 0.25mg so ur body adjusting to it after 4 injections 30 days u will increase ur dosage to 1mg after ur 8th injection u will start to notice difference in ur weight but u still have to make sure u eat probably can't be eating ice cream candy and fried foods u still have to maintain somewhat of a diet but some people who are on it just get full drinking water and two bites of food. So basically it makes u feel full longer and in all ur stomach will go back to it's normal size or even smaller size best thing I would recommend since if u on that medication ozempic start boiling eggs eat those it helps and gets u full eat green vegetables cut ur carbs stay away from bread or fried foods eat in moderation and u will see ur pounds sheet without any exercise this medicine is suppressing ur appetite following this diet is not going to be a challenge for anyone you will lose over 80lbs without having to wait 10 months u be dropping it in around 4 months but if u don't follow any diet it will be taking longer 10 months or more so yes it's ur option some people can't diet and some do have to will power to do it u can drop 150lbs in less then a year with exercise 20min a day cardio walking not running just walking.
Actually, I paired it with a particularly dangerous “thermagenic” and loss 7% body fat (21 lbs)two weeks in. I was surprised at the synergy between the two,
I have type 2 diabetes. Last year there was a global shortage of Ozempic and I went six weeks without it, finally going back to the insulin injections I used to take twelve years ago. I went in for a routine eye test today and they told me that there were signs of diabetic damage to my eyes. I have to go back in three months to see if the eyes have healed or not. Now I understand that obesity can be a serious problem, but I think the people facing blindness or amputation should have first call on this medication.
That is terrible for you! I do want to say tho, people who aren’t diabetic aren’t being approved for ozempic. So the ozempic shortage has nothing to do with ppl who are overweight/obese taking Wegovy. It has everything to do with the manufactures and their needing to produce more pens. So the overweight/obese people aren’t stealing medication from the diabetics in need of their meds.
This medication has horrible side effects. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and depression. Don’t take it unless you are willing to go through it. These symptoms might go away or they might not. I’m speaking from experience because I’m currently on it. I am miserable and have lost a day of work because of the side effects. Use with caution.

Because of this being used for weight loss, I am struggling to get it for my diabetes. It has caused my copay to more than triple. For me it is life saving. I now have to wait up to 10 days or more for a refill.
I'm sorry this is happening to you but please try to remember that obesity is JUST AS DANGEROUS as diabetes, and that all people need the medications that will help them to be healthy and live long happy productive lives. I'm sorry you have diabetes but obese people matter too - we all want the medications we need at affordable prices. "Weight Loss" is not just for vanity - it's live saving for us too. The US have a form of ‘public health care’ though that Obama wrote into law. It’s probably double $60 on average but other political party criticize it so much that uninformed people who are swayed by dishonest Republicans (Trump’s party) don’t use it. Most employed people get insurance through their jobs and sometimes the better the job, the better the insurance. The advantage of US healthcare is the quality. Hospitals feel like hotels. The care is high level. You can get diagnosed, surgery done next week and you go home feeling like you were never diagnosed with whatever it was. But of course, if you are really poor and struggling that’s when you may not have health care which is horrible. Yeah Trump’s party did things to deliberately drive up the price of ‘Obamacare’ just to make it fail’ and people still vote for them. People who can’t pay for ‘Obamacare’ are statistically still a small amount of people though. And Obamacare is not the name of the insurance. Republicans called it that when they were trying to give it a bad name like Obama’s name is bad. Obama is a class act.
(please note that I have never been fat but I did want to shed a few pounds) If you are not a diabetic, why not consider fasting? It's cheaper but it will suck for the first few weeks. I only eat one meal a day and after a few weeks have passed, I do not experience hunger pangs as much as the average person (maybe once every 4 days). I drink lemon water/zero calorie drinks/tea through out the day as I work. Fasting consistently will cause your body to produce less ghrelin (hunger hormone) and it doesn't cost hundreds of dollars an injection.
Wegovy worked AMAZING but cost me half my thyroid due to fast growing tumors…bummer. I have boxes of the stuff in my fridge and can’t take it. I gained back half the weight since stopping. I’m tempted to just grab a pen and start again but I just got half a thyroid left. 😰

I guess I was recommended this video after being on Mounjaro for 6 weeks - 6 weeks of nausea despite zofran, careful eating etc. While these medications can really make a difference for people, they are very serious medications with very quality of life side effects for a lot of people.

After COVID, I've become skeptical of big pharma. If people are taking these drugs for reasons other than weight loss, fine. Big pharma wants people taking drugs and eating unhealthy ultra processed foods. It'll be interesting to see the long term ramifications, good and bad, of these drugs.
so the compounded version is cheaper??? I was paying 1200 ZAR a month for the smaller dose pen of ozempic for pre-diabetes. The US seriously needs to fix its pricing regulations. It's also nice how this story has glossed over the GLOBAL SHORTAGE people using it for weight loss has caused. I haven't had any in months. I was using it for auto-immune-related pre-diabetes. it's not like fixing my diet and exercise would be any help.
But fixing your diet MIGHT help. I subscribe to Dr Eric Berg amongst others on UA-cam and many of his followers have managed to reverse their type 2 diabetes completely, through following his advice on diet. Another one to look up, Dr Ken Berry MD. They will tell you and go into detail with regards to why you're pre-diabetic and what you can do to help yourself without medication. Dr Berg also covers a range of other ailments and how to alleviate symptoms.
You can ask around to see if any spa places offer the shot. But since you are not prescribed it by a doctor for diabetes, you’ll have to go in their weekly to get the injection, and they will be monitoring you on your dosage and slowly increase it.
They say I’m morbidly obese. However, I just think they are trying to scare me. I don’t like being overweight, but every thing I have tried, at first, worked, but caused more weight to appear. I really need help. I don’t like looking like this. I have, not even, one person that, talks to me, let alone encourages me. It’s hard to move, so I don’t. If you want to help me, I am ready to accept help.
Look up "Dr. Berg" and "Dr. Sten Ekberg on UA-cam. They both talk about proper diet and intermittent fasting in a way that's easy to understand and follow. Really, it's all about getting back to the way we ate for most of our existence. Those two should help, good luck, I believe in you!

Obesity is a deeper problem than how someone looks. If those problems are not addressed the injection or pill are useless. I have just done a video on Ozempic presenting a more balanced view, give it a watch.
I thought this was for diabetics . It was going to be life saving in some cases. Why is it now being marketed as a weight loss drug? Pharmacies are on back order because doctors are prescribing for weight loss. Am I missing something ?
I will be starting my Olympic tomorrow after speaking to the nurse. She told me not to start it until I talk to her picked it up yesterday. It was covered had a $4 copay
I have an issue with using a diabetic drug for weight loss. There is currently a national shortage of this drug for Vetrans. My dad literally depends on this drug to live. Now he can’t get it because it’s now used as a weight loss drug. Not cool when others lives literally depend on this drug. Not cool at all.
When drs prescribe Wegovy, they are not taking away from diabetics. Wegovy is for obesity and co-morbid conditions. There are other GLP-1RAs such as Trulicity, Victoza, and Mounjaro. If drs started writing for patients to get Ozempic because of the Wegovy shortage, that's on them.
@@dianemendoza9531 that medication is the same as the drug used to treat diabetics. Treatment of obesity is a side effect of the medication. It was not designed for obesity. They just slapped a generic name in it and raised the price. If there was enough, then more power to those that want to lose weight. There’s not enough currently hence he national VA shortage. There’s also side benefits of the drug that protects kidneys and hearts of diabetics that other diabetic medicines harm (trade off) Someone trying to lose weight does not take priority over saving someone’s actual life.
@@Squirt0624 Wegovy is not generic. Wegovy is the brand name of semaglutide that was studied for obesity when they saw the success diabetics on Ozempic were having with weight loss. It was approved for obesity in 2021. The shortage came in because people started promoting Wegovy. I believe uninformed drs exacerbated the problem by giving out Ozempic when it should have been Ozempic to their diabetics and Wegovy to their obese patients. They should have not interchanged one for the other once a shortage came up. Compound that on top of the manufacturing issue Novo Nordisk already said they had and ther you go. Outside of that, as I stated before, there are at least 5 other GLP-1RAs that diabetics can be put on. Ozempic is not the only one. GLP-1RAs are the magic behind the heart protection because they reduce inflammation. If you cared to fo any research, you would also see that people who are fortunate to get for their obesity related issues (true obesity related issues) are seeing additional benefits just as diabetics are...why shouldn't they also benefit? Insulin resistance is a very real thing in women with PCOS and is a driving factor in their risk for future diabetes and their difficulty in losing weight and getting pregnant. It's why they get put on Metformin (a diabetes drug, by the way). Wegovy is a fantastic tool for these women. They are wanting to continue studies on effects of GLP-RAs to assist with exacerbations of inflammation in autoimmune disease. Many, many, many have reported a marked decreasing in pain related issues and migraines. So, like I said, I understand the frustration behind drs prescribing the diabetes formulation for the weight loss formulation. But, there are others that could be prescribed in the very least to get through the few months of the shortage of one.
@@dianemendoza9531 actually they can not be prescribed something else for the shortage. We tried to go that route. He nearly died. It’s not a simple as you want to make it. Randomly mixing meds that aren’t supposed to be taken together dangerous. Suddenly starting or stopping dangerous. It took him MONTHS to build up to the dosage he needed. Sick the entire time because he couldn’t take other with it to help him bring his sugar down while he was gradually increasing to his needed dosage. Sugar consistently in the 280-300. Very bad things happen when you’re that high and they did. So no there is not anything for short term use. He’s either on it or not. He wouldn’t survive going through all that again. Bring in this medicine took him from 40 shots a week to 1. His kidney function improved where as before he was declining. He’s a quad heart surgery survivor. His heart function has improved. On his two previous diabetes meds, he was in decline. There are thousands in the VA same story. It’s not right. It will never be right. I respectfully disagree with you. We are living it in real time.
Its too bad drug companies wont let those of us who aren't diagnosed as diabetic use these drugs, even with their coupons. After coupons $1000 + per month is NOT affordable..
I am on Semaglutide. I have lost 18 lbs in approximately 9 weeks. I moved to the higher dose after the first month and my results seem to building momentum and accelerating. Here is the catch: I must pay out of pocket for this life-saving help to lowering my weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, LDL, etc. I was not overweight or sick enough to get help from my insurance. Semaglutide is not cheap! It costs hundreds of dollars for each little vial. Finally, I can only use it for 6 months according to my doctor. This sh@$ works. I can be eating something I like, and I’ll just put my fork down about halfway through. I’ll put the rest away for tomorrow. I can’t explain. Talk about your options with your doctor if you have dieted, exercised, etc. and given up. Wegovy might be an option for you.
I just looked up the patent info for Ozempic and it reads: ‘Ozempic was eligible for patent challenges on December 5, 2021. By analyzing the patents and regulatory protections it appears that the earliest date for generic entry will be December 5, 2031. This may change due to patent challenges or generic licensing.’ 😢
You know what’s frustrating everyone in the comments. It’s not a magic drug. It’s said that people who really need it for diabetes can’t get access because of all this weight loss craze. That’s terrible. Also, it’s frustrating that this women did surgery and then this drug. She didn’t change her lifestyle. She wasn’t exercising and didn’t change her diet. That’s a terrible message to give people that you don’t need to do all of that because surgery or this drug takes care of it. You’re going to get into trouble later down the line because of constantly taking short cuts without changing anything about your life. I’ve dieted for 2 and half years. Exercised 3 to 4 times a week, just went up to 5 to 6 times a week. And the weight doesn’t come off. I reduce sugar intake by 80%. I cut salt and sodium by 90%. Now I’m working on a reduced and then no carb lifestyle. Aka Keto. I’ve controlled my portions. I lift 65 lbs upper body, and 110lbs with legs. I do weight training, cardio, and I even row at home. Yet she lost 40lbs in 3 months, and I’ve lost 4lbs in 4 weeks only. She does nothing but inject herself with meds. That’s it. I’m not hating on her success but that just so unfair. And I’m just realizing that dieting and exercising is bullshit.
First - Obesity is just as dangerous as diabetes. I've lost tons of weight MULTIPLE TIMES on Keto without exercise - (exercise increases your appetite!). I have never been able to keep weight off long term with Keto though. Shaming people for hormone induced hunger really is really shitty and you should just stop it - your life is no more important than anyone else's. Period. There is enough of this drug to go around if we demand it. Stop attacking people with different but equally dangerous health problems. Instead - advocate that there is enough for everyone who needs it.
You can go and get yourself a prescription or a sleeve, for that matter, if you are THAT disappointed by your moderate success in training. Suprise! Diets and working out do NOT work, do they? Especially when deep and seriuos metabolic issues are involved. You should het yourself some education on the subject, ma'm. And by the way, how does it feel to be a hypocrite? "Oh, it's so unfair to use injections and operations instead of changing your life style, blablabla. Diabetic people have low supplies of their treatment!" (spoiler - no, they don't). Get a room, lady. Why are you so bothered about this woman's ways to lose weight? Do you pay for her treatment? Is she stealing your medication? Then just heck off!
Of course she changed her diet. That's what both the surgery and the drug did: gave her the help she needed to change her diet, and that change to be effective. An enormous part of the reason diet and exercise alone don't work is because the hormonal soup in your body makes it incredibly difficult to consistently eat little enough, or for your body to effectively metabolize what you eat. Both the surgery and the drug help make those things easier--or possible. Yes, it would be better if she exercised. But she absolutely changed her diet.
I couldnt understand the name of the compound medication they mentioned in the video that they said is much cheaper. Can anybody here tell me the name?
I’ve been on Ozempic for three weeks and got on the scale for the first time today. I’m happy to say I lost 14 pounds.

Weight loss is good for health, but if you are already diabetic, you should have priority, and it should be made affordable, and easily approved.

Good for the doctors for getting a compounding pharmacy to create the injectable!
I have mine compounded and it only costs me $270 per month. Not even close to the costs of the commercial version. Big Pharma is criminal.
Thank you for this well though out and truthful comment. Best wishes to you on your health journey

What helped me lose weight was moving out of S. Louisiana and trying foods prepared in different ways. I agree. Moved 18 years ago to Georgia and my diet has totally changed. I don't cook a ton of starches anymore I no longer eat white rice or beef and pork with the exception of bacon....lol. Yeah thats what I thought as well, unless he/she meant 20:4
Empower provides personalized medication that is both convenient and economical.
what is the doctor name
May you please share the doctor's info

Did you start on 1 mg? Or did you start on smaller doses first
No weight loss with ozempic either
Some people lose more weight with increased dose I hear
U will see effects in 8 weeks so u start out on 0.25mg so ur body adjusting to it after 4 injections 30 days u will increase ur dosage to 1mg after ur 8th injection u will start to notice difference in ur weight but u still have to make sure u eat probably can't be eating ice cream candy and fried foods u still have to maintain somewhat of a diet but some people who are on it just get full drinking water and two bites of food. So basically it makes u feel full longer and in all ur stomach will go back to it's normal size or even smaller size best thing I would recommend since if u on that medication ozempic start boiling eggs eat those it helps and gets u full eat green vegetables cut ur carbs stay away from bread or fried foods eat in moderation and u will see ur pounds sheet without any exercise this medicine is suppressing ur appetite following this diet is not going to be a challenge for anyone you will lose over 80lbs without having to wait
10 months u be dropping it in around 4 months but if u don't follow any diet it will be taking longer 10 months or more so yes it's ur option some people can't diet and some do have to will power to do it u can drop 150lbs in less then a year with exercise 20min a day cardio walking not running just walking.
Actually, I paired it with a particularly dangerous “thermagenic” and loss 7% body fat (21 lbs)two weeks in. I was surprised at the synergy between the two,

Soooooo hows it going? How much have you lost?
So where's the compounding pharmacy?
Hello how are you doing?
I also causes thyroid cancer and gall bladder issues
I notice nobody likes to mention that…
Can you tell me where I can find that information?
I am worried about the cancer (not on this either), but I had my gall bladder out in 2016.

I’ve been hearing terrible things about this drug. I wish they wouldn’t frame it as only positive.

Maybe you need to return to your doctor. You may benefit from Zofran, vitamin B12, and some counselling. Have all of these been tried??
Because of this being used for weight loss, I am struggling to get it for my diabetes. It has caused my copay to more than triple. For me it is life saving. I now have to wait up to 10 days or more for a refill.
I have the same problem. I had to go back on insulin. So I have gone from 1 injection a week to 4 injections a day. Not happy.
This is a medication that can help so many people.
That's so sad. I feel bad that people can't get it to treat their diabetes . That is what is was initially marketed for.

@@sarahbartlett1196See my comment above. US have very similar system to you after Obama.
Insurance won’t pay because they know it works and people will pay almost anything to lose weight. So insurance doesn’t have to. You did it for them
(please note that I have never been fat but I did want to shed a few pounds)
If you are not a diabetic, why not consider fasting? It's cheaper but it will suck for the first few weeks. I only eat one meal a day and after a few weeks have passed, I do not experience hunger pangs as much as the average person (maybe once every 4 days). I drink lemon water/zero calorie drinks/tea through out the day as I work.
Fasting consistently will cause your body to produce less ghrelin (hunger hormone) and it doesn't cost hundreds of dollars an injection.
Why not? Because people can do whatever they feel is best for them. Instead of having abortions, why not consider abstinence?

How can I get this medicine?! I will drive to LA to get it!

You can ask around to see if any spa places offer the shot. But since you are not prescribed it by a doctor for diabetes, you’ll have to go in their weekly to get the injection, and they will be monitoring you on your dosage and slowly increase it.
Why no link to get to the doctors in this video
Exactly!
They say I’m morbidly obese. However, I just think they are trying to scare me. I don’t like being overweight, but every thing I have tried, at first, worked, but caused more weight to appear.

And no one said that the people that are using this aren't changing their habits at the same time or at least trying to. I hope so. It's very hard to change your entire lifestyle that I agree with and people who have had weight loss surgery the majority that do gain their weight back is because they did not change their lifestyle and then they wonder I don't know what happened I gained it all back. Yes some gain it back because of medications steroid shots etc I gained back 30 pounds out of 100 and some of that is eating some of that was less activity because of a terrible car accident.
There’s also side benefits of the drug that protects kidneys and hearts of diabetics that other diabetic medicines harm (trade off)
Someone trying to lose weight does not take priority over saving someone’s actual life.

Lol I 😆 don't blame you ..hey why don't you try intermittent fasting it works plus all your cravings diminish over time..Goodluck 😘
2kg in a month is a lot more healthy and maintainable.
Maybe look at what sort of exercises you're doing? you might be gaining muscle but losing fat

I couldn't make out the name from the video either, but I was able to find it searching. It is semaglutide.
You guys are truly lucky. Wish we can get it here in Nigeria.
we can get into business, market it and sell it
South Africa has been out of stock for ages. I've heard of some people getting through their endocrinologists but only for serious diabetes
Even if you could get it in Nigeria, there is a global shortage thanks to the Americans hoarding it all. Australia has had almost none since April.
I looked at the thumbnail and was like, wait why is teen mom Jenelle losing hundreds of pounds 🤣 it literally looked just like her lmao
How much weight you loose depends on they amount of the ozempic you get. Start .5 then 1mg
People on 2mg are the ones who loose the most weight.
How much is in each pen. 2mg means per day? Per week? How many pens a month would you need
@@ASlaveToReason 2mg per week. It's a weekly injection. Typically you will get a preX for an entire month at a time.
@@kj9089 correct
@@ASlaveToReason what KJ says
I started with .25. .50 is helping a lot more.
How do I get this?
