Love you guys! I'm a 61 year old rock dude, and you literally make me cry when I see your reactions to the music I've listened to for over 40 years!
I feel ya brother.. it's a great joy to see young people being introduced to all the greats....
Ain't that the truth! SMH these kids are clueless LOL
We're not old, Age is a STATE OF MIND ✌🥰🎶🎵🎶🎄🎅
Is this the critter hang out...bahahaha
I'm in this club!
That's 2 songs from the Rocky IV soundtrack in 2 days. Y'all are on a roll! 🥊🥊 Next needs to be James Brown - Living in America to complete the trifecta.
Uh. Good God, yes!
heart's on fire, john cafferty
And after that Weird Al's "Living with a hernia"
@@chrispeel3123 I don't know if they are ready for Weird Al yet 🤣
100%
Rocky IV one of the best soundtracks of the 80's which was the best decade of the movie soundtrack
So many movies of the 80s had awesome soundtracks. My favorites are The Lost Boys, Top Gun, Dirty Dancing
@@rebeccavanstraten8175dirty dancing sountrack is incredible
Everytime I hear this song, I always think about Rocky Balboa shifting gears in his Ferrari. Such a great song!
Such a powerful scene!
And his Lamborghini
Me too.
@@Suprahampton what Lamborghini?
@@1977rw the one he's driving in the film
2 days straight from the "ROCKY IV" soundtrack. Survivor "Burning Heart" and this song. Both are really good choices. Keep up the good work you 2. Loving your reactions!
Yes. Love the Rocky series. I like the new ones with Michael B Jordon as well.
Great soundtrack. One of my favorites.
Such a great soundtrack. These songs teleport me to the gym in my brother in laws garage, working out as a teenager 😁
I was wondering why this sounded familiar 🤣
Elton John's "The Measure of a Man" from Rocky V should be next.
Another great song off the ROCKY IV Soundtrack, don't forget to check out James Brown "Living In America" from the same soundtrack!
Definitely!
This song was featured in rocky 4 to convey how rocky was feeling after his best friend Apollo Creed was killed. And his wife Adrian didn't support rocky's decision to fight the man who killed Apollo. Another Robert Tepper song is Angel in the city.
Holy crap dude he hasn't seen the freaking movie
The spoilers haha
Yeah, I never really thought of this as a love song. More dark, brooding and contemplative.
That scene with Sly speeding down the highway thinking about his late friend really sticks with me!
@@suprchickn7745 ~ Me too. The look on Rocky's face, as he's driving, and running through everything in his mind. Such an underrated scene...
His voice just doesn't scream Rock, it screams Rocky. Hahaha
As teachers you guys should really check out Thomas Dolby's sound "Blinded me with science " for that amazing 80s groove...cheers from Alberta 🇨🇦
Science!!
The guy who said the word science in the video was Magnus Pyke who worked for the UK ministry of food during WWII
Robbie Neville - C'est La Vie is a must listen. You wont regret it.
You might regret it.🤭
Another great song from Rocky IV.
Sly Stallone's crazy pre match workouts in Rocky IV, preparing for Ivan Drago with this song cranked is what equals perfection.
Or when driving your Lamborghini through the streets. Either way. 😁
Yo this movie is my jam and yo I freaking love this song soundtrack I just LOVE STALLONE! Yoooooo!
There’s no pain! Lol! The work out scene after Adren shows up!
No, that was "Hearts On Fire" for the training montage. This song they're reacting to was when Rocky was driving around mourning Apollo.
Long time fan of this channel! 😊
Fantastic reaction to a fantastic song. This song was actually from the 1985 movie soundtrack for "Rocky 4". I highly request another fantastic song from that soundtrack called "Heart's on Fire" by John Cafferty.
Speaking of John Cafferty, they must do On The Dark Side.
@@ronnix23 Eddie and the Cruisers
@@ronnix23 My favorite song from the "Eddie and the Cruisers" soundtrack.
Yeah good one - they’re best within the context of the movie though.
@@justanotherguy7925 True, better to watch the scene when listening to the Rocky songs - means more.
Another great reaction guys. Made me want to watch Rocky IV again!
Right with you, did you like the new cut?
Rocky IV again!
First thought I had.
@@ChrisHaar apparently they have no idea that these songs are from famous movie soundtracks.
They should do 80s movies soundtracks they're so good. This one, Cobra, Over The Top, Top Gun, the Bond movies etc... one by one.
They need to live what we've felt at the time. Lol
@@h.c4898 yes! Dazed and Confused.....Dirty Dancing....Blues Brothers. So many great ones
@@ChrisHaar oh yeah... they need also a little context of each so they understand why they were so popular.. onscreen and on radio... cos they going blind with this..🙂
The best thing besides the movie itself, is the soundtrack for Rocky IV 💁🏻♀️🖤! Once you’ve seen the movie 1,000,000 times like me, all I do is visualize the scene, it’s a montage… and I love it!
Just 1,000,000 times you're slacking....just messing. I'm with you there, visualizing the scene for sure. Every song in the Rocky series I can visualize the scene.
@@jeremiahrose4681 😆🤣🤣!! Besides fact my family is Italian, were soo excited because it was when we still had real beef with Russia… i went opening night in a really Italian town, & you’d have thought we were at an actual boxing event! People went crazy lol, such fun.. i remember it so well because it was a great experience 💁🏻♀️😊
@@caralayne503 Sounds like an exciting time. From the time I saw Rocky III (first in the theater, second one I watched on tv first) in the theater I was hooked line and sinker into Rocky. Funny thing is I lived with different relatives growing up and every time I moved there was a different Rock movie out. I can remember what rocky movie I saw with a different family member in a different place. Creeds movies aren't bad either.
@@jeremiahrose4681 agreed, the Creeds were good too! But for me, Rocky IV sticks out most because of the experience.. altho, When Rock 3 is on, i HAVE to watch, when Mr. T starts talking to Adrien in the crowd, saying , “Hey Woman, Hey Woman… Listen here …” I DIE laughing because it truly is funny 😆🤣
@@caralayne503 Odd Rocky III means the most to me, like Rocky IV to you....my wife hates Rocky III and loves Rocky IV...go figure. Thoughts on Creed 3? No idea on the story line, but no Stallone (I believe). It may be time for another Rocky marathon for me.
This song was used in the Rocky soundtrack!
Well….the Rocky IV soundtrack.
Great song from the Rocky IV soundtrack! Another song from the Rocky IV soundtrack is "Heart's On Fire". Some other soundtracks from the 80's that are great are: Top Gun, Footloose, Iron Eagle, Better Off Dead. Also some great instrumentals (with horns for Amber!) is the original Conan the Barbarian soundtrack.
As a fan of the Rocky series this song during the movie and the flashbacks of the previous movies was one of my favorite parts.
Same here. The look on Rocky's face as he's driving, and running through everything in his mind. To me, one of the best scenes in the movie...
Outstanding!!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I love this song too much!!!!!!!! Greetings from Brazil!!!!!!!!!!!
Rocky IV was lit when I saw it in the theaters back when it came out.
Had to wait for 2 hrs in a line to see this movie as a teen....worth every second.
Tepper co-wrote Benny Mardones' "Into the Night" back in 1980.
What a voice, that Benny! Great song, too
Always loved this song.
Reco: Journey's "Mother Father" "Who's Crying Now" or "Stone in Love" from their 1981 Houston concert. Arguably one of the best live performances
Send her my love and girl can’t help it are also cool
Another great Rocky sound track song...there was a lot of great music in that series. Had Rob Squad not seen those movies....it's a tragedy if they haven't.
I love this one! Most people don't pay too much attention to the music in movies. I immediately bought the soundtrack after I saw this movie. I love this song.
The song itself is great. But the song combined with the montage from the Rocky IV movie is even better.
WOW! This is a blast from the past. I haven't heard this one in a decade or two. This is as 80's as it gets.
I haven't heard this one in a long time, but remember liking it a lot.
Since we are all up in the 80's please check out Billy Vera and The Beaters "At This Moment" a perfect break up song with a KILLER Sax solo. Studio version is best. But Billy can kill it live too.
Sounds like Hall and Oates
As long as the Rocky IV thing is going, we need " Living in America " by James Brown.
Oh wow, I love Amber's shirt. RIP Phil.
the genre is power ballads which had many variations but all got generally grouped under one heading
For Female Friday:
Ronnie Spector - ‘Be My Baby’
Bette Midler - ‘From a Distance’
Toni Braxton - ‘Un-Break My Heart’
Roberta Flack - ‘First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’
Other notables:
Christopher Cross - ‘Sailing,’
Kayne Brown - ‘Worship You,’
Kool and The Gang - ‘Celebration,’
Dan Fogelberg - ‘Same Old Lang Syne’
Luther Vandross - ‘Dance With My Father’
Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand -- Tell Him
I may be odd here but Nanci Griffith's version of "From a Distance" has really grown on me.
Going down this route of the 1980's check out John Parr "St. Elmo's Fire." There was a movie by the same name. Can you imaging being a teenager during this timeframe? I can because I was and it was glorious. Music all around and optimism for the future.
Great Suggestion... Loved John Parr. His debut solo album had a number of hits... "Love Grammar" "Magical" "Naughty Naughty" (completely different song from Danger Danger's song)
Music videos for songs coming from movie soundtracks, at that time, were better trailers for those movies than the actual trailers that ran during TV commercial breaks!!!
Y’all have to watch Rocky IV now! It’s one of my all-time favorites! Songs from the soundtrack two days in a row makes me want to watch it again. I bet I’ve seen it at least a dozen times!
Sylvester Stallone use couple of Robert Tepper’s songs in his movies. This one was used in Rocky IV and Angel of the City by Robert Tepper was used in Cobra.
This song hit hard in Rocky IV!
The quintessential one hit wonder of the 80s 👍👍👍👍👍
80's movies with a great soundtrack include 'Streets of Fire" which has two great songs that were chart toppers.
The Fixx - "Deeper and Deeper". The Fixx was a big hit in the 1980's with several hit albums. Their biggest hits though would be "One Thing Leads to Another", "Saved By Zero", "Red Skies", "Stand or Fall", and "Secret Seperation". I have yet to see a reaction video anywhere for The Fixx which is a crying shame because they had a lot of hits and are part of the 80's story. The songs are fast paced with great vibes. The Fixx is hard to describe because they are not totally 80's synth pop, having elements of rock in them. Great band.
The other song from the movie is Dan Hartman's - "I Can Dream About You". The song is written and performed by Dan Hartman but in the movie a fictitious band, The Sorrels, is used thus two videos exist, The Sorrels performance, or another video with Dan Hartman. Both are great as the song is great. "I Can Dream About You" reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100. Dan Hartman doesn't have a lot of solo hits but he was also bass player and writer for The Edgar Winter Group and wrote their greatest hit "Free Ride" (which you also ought to react to). Hartman also produced and co-wrote "Living in America", a No. 4 hit for James Brown which appeared on the soundtrack of the feature film Rocky IV (1985). The song was the last of Brown's 44 hit recordings to appear on the Billboard Top 40 charts.
80's movie soundtrack -> To Live and Die in LA. Epic movie, perfect soundtrack that captures the era.
Ya, I’d love for The Fixx hit their ears.
That's one of my favorite movies.
Yes Streets of Fire! Tonight is what it means to be young and going nowhere fast!
This song is from the Rocky movies, the Survivor song "Burning Heart" you did the other day was as well. The soundtrack from that series is amazing. You have to check out "Eye Of The Tiger" it was written for the movie ROCKY III if I'm not mistaken
Brilliant seeing you go through the Rocky soundtrack. This is definitely one of the best from it
Robert Teppers other hit song was called
ANGEL OF THE CITY and was a song from the movie Cobra with Sylvester Stallone
got pulled over 20+ years ago while listening to this song...90 in a 55...got a warning cause the cop knew the song...perfect driving song.
St. Elmos fire (man in motion) by John parr is a great song
Suggestions
1. Patti Labelle & Michael MCDONALD "OnMy Own"
2. Elton John & Kiki Dee "Don't Go Breaking My Heart"
3. Barbara Streisand & Donna Summer "Enough Is Enough"
☃️⛄🎅🤶🧑🎄❤🎺💞🎙🎤🇬🇧🎷🎸🥁🎼🎹
Amber, if you are going to wear a Thin Lizzy tee-shirt then you have to listen to one of the greatest guitarists ever "Gary Moore" who was a guitarists guitar player. Check out "Still got the blues for you" you guys will be blown away by his bluesy soulful sound. He was the lead guitarist for Thin Lizzy in his early career, his later stuff was amazing.
Amber in a Thin Lizzy shirt? We need a reaction to something like Jailbreak or Waiting For An Alibi!
I think you guys would really enjoy Paul McCartney doing Silly Love Songs.
Its a happy, upbeat song and........full of horns.
😉
Cool that Amber was wearing an awesome Thin Lizzy T-shirt. This song kinda describes them as a band. Hard-working rockers, the greatest Ireland has ever seen. Phil Lynott’s bronze statue is displayed on Grafton St. in Dublin
Rocky, Rocky, Rocky!!!
Wow, two Rocky IV songs in one day! Nice!
ROCKY 4!!!!! ITS ABOUT NO EASY WAY OUT IN LIFE! :)
Robert Tepper's genre of music is called Pop/Rock...I remember watching this video when MTV actually played music in the 1980s...
Absolutely love this song amazing vocals
This song is a banger...a one hit wonder just wish the video was of Rocky highlights like it was featured in Rocky IV
I love this song. Looking at that Thin Lizzy shirt, you should check out Dancing in the moonlight.
Love that song, gives me Springsteen vibes. Thin Lizzy rules!
Now you guys got me wanting to go watch Rocky 4, where this song was featured in, on an epic montage scene.
Rocky 4 is my favorite, followed by Rocky 3.
This IS the ultimate 80s! Rocky, you can’t win!!
Song is from Rocky IV when Stallone's driving around
ROCKY!!! (IV). This song makes me see Rocky driving fast in his car. Lol
Loved me some Dolf ❤️😂
So much has changed since you guys posted this one, congrats on the success
Love
ROCKY IV baby
A few suggestions for you guys. Bob Seger,-(You'll Accomp'ny me). The Staple Singers,-(I'll take you there). Music Explosion,-(Little bit o' soul). Last but not least the Queen of Disco Donna Summer,-(Hot Stuff).
All I'm picturing is Rocky driving around at night, in a black Ferrari, thinking about Apollo's death. Ahhhh, childhood in the 80s 😁
This song and 'Hearts on Fire' from the Rocky IV soundtrack have been in my workout playlist for years!
Todd Rundgren “Hello It’s Me” for a nice easy listening 70’s sound.
I know music from way back into the 1940s and can honestly say I have never ever heard this song or this man.So I went and looked him up and he's from Iron butterfly who I do know but never heard this guy on his own.
Rocky 4 classic
I play this song when I find myself in hard times in life and in the gym. I play Rocky songs while I work out everytime. No easy way out. Sometimes I see it in a way God talking to me. Why me, why this why that, why me.. and the chorus hits answering back to you, bcus there’s no easy way out to heaven. There’s no short comes home my son. There’s only one way, and that’s to carry our crosses day to day, to the end
A rocker who recently died who had a kick-ass booming voice was Benny Mardones (Last name pronounced Mar-doe-ness). You'll find
these great rockin' songs on his 'Never Run Never Hide' LP/CD from 1980: 1) Into The Night (Great song!) 2) Too Young 3) She's So French.
I believe Benny was friend's with Robert Tepper. Enjoy!
One of the best soundtrack songs EVER!! I know you guys know what this is from...
This is my favourite song of all time I've loved it since I was 7 years old and I still love it now at 36.
I just watched the Behind the Scenes of GODSMACKs Unforgettable. Gotta check it out. Sully talks about how music changed his Life. That he would ended up in jail and How the first program that's cut in schools is Music. Omg so awesome
This is the song that popped in my head when I heard C Weathers passed. Great god damn song.
I'd like to request a song called "Colors" by the Black Pumas. This is a relatively new song that I think you would really like.
Yes, definitely the Official Live Session ua-cam.com/video/0G383538qzQ/v-deo.html&ab_channel=BlackPumasVEVO
Great song. Great montage to this song in the movie.
45th..Crazy...I was in my 20's in thr 80's..and at clubs..how does this song NOT sound familiar to me..and I know alot of music.....HUH
Awesome Rocky 4 song!!! Did he play the Saxophone in "The Lost Boys" while singing "I Still Believe "? Yes it has an awesome Saxophone 🎷 performance!!!
I just looked that up because I too was curious. It was not this guy, but someone name Tim Cappello
One day after doing Survivor, who had a hit on the Rocky III soundtrack and "Burning Heart" appeared in Rocky IV, you do this song, which ALSO appeared in Rocky IV. Always loved this song, but Robert was basically a one-hit wonder. He only had one other Top 100 hit, called "Don't Walk Away". That's pretty much it. But sometimes one hit is enough. :) P.S. He also cowrote Benny Mardones' "Into the Night", another one-hit-wonder 80s song that you HAVE to listen to. Another to check out is "St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)" by John Parr. His and Robert's voices are very similar.
LOST ON YOU (LIVE VERSION) by LP or maybe EVERYBODY'S FALLING IN LOVE from her new release for FEMALE FRIDAY.
Queensryche ( Take Hold Of The Flame ) this man's voice will blow your mind. 80s band.
The Rocky IV soundtrack is one of greatest soundtracks of all time.
My favourite Rocky soundtrack, gets me going everytime even after all these years.
Me and my friends used to joke that the Highlander became a rock singer. Robert Tepper looks just like Christopher Lambert from Highlander. There can be only one!!!!
Great song!
You guys should check out the all sibling rock band, " Liliac " . It would also be a great choice for FEMALE FRIDAY...😀
These kids are amazing.RORH.
Robert temper wrote a song with Benny Martinez, which is an absolutely amazing song, the backstory of the song makes it even more amazing. Check out Into the Night.
