Dear Mr. Tepper. Most people in the world may not know your name. But this song of yours will forever be engraved in the hearts of tens and millions of people who have decided to become real men from being boys. We believe that this is the highest honor a singer can have.

My mom is so into it she stands straight up and yells "Atta boy, Rocky! Knock him on his ass!" And everyone turns to look. I love you and miss you, mama.

***** Really? Its not just the 80's. There are few love songs anymore, Like zero songs use harmonizing,. Like zero songs use long creative lead guitar parts or even short crafty guitar parts. No horns in songs anymore ie trumpets, saxophones or even flutes. There are less instruments used, less detail in percussion recorded. Few bands or like zero today have two lead singers like ie Styx,The Beatles,The Cars etc etc... There are no bands like Pink Floyd,The Beatles,Journey,The Rolling Stones,ABBA and many many more like a hundred more today and recording sales are proof. This generation is not as creative and even movies, cars and clothes reflect my observation. It is universal knowledge that art of all types has fallen off a cliff. People are not as passionate anymore.

So true
Proly only for us.
One of my favorite (and most embarrassing) moments of childhood is me and my family watching this in the theater. It's the final fight scene, Rocky is beating the hell out of Drago. My mom is so into it she stands straight up and yells "Atta boy, Rocky! Knock him on his ass!" And everyone turns to look. I love you and miss you, mama.
Love it!
I would do that too to be honest. Boxing movies these days don't have the same soul as Rocky
@@freddyrajali889 None of the new movies have a meaningful message behind them, just sex, action comedy movies nowadays.
I had a similar experience...stood up and yelled "Beat the S#*T out of him Rock!" And a dad turns around and says, "Can u watch ur language? I have kids here!"
ME - "oops...soory!
@@chungnung5487 I don't recall modern movies having sex scenes in them. I think you're confusing modern movies with random videos you've watched on the internet. The last time movies had sex scenes in them was like in the 80s or 90s. Also, even if there's sex scenes in them, so what? They could be good to have in movies anyway. The old 1984 movie The Terminator had a sex scene in it between Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor, yet everyone loves that movie.
You will never find music like this ever again.
That's why 80s is the GOAT
Try Ghost
@@JurgenKoole I can see them covering this song
People loves hip hop and rap stuff nowadays
Oh yeah it's still happening & new songs too. Anything by The Midnight, Gunship, Ghost, Timecop 1984, Kavinsky & lots of others groups too. Church Of The Cosmic Skull is doing the 70's rock sound lol.
Life isn't about how hard you can hit, it is about how hard you can GET hit, and keep moving forward!
I just *LOVE* that quote
That shit makes me face another day.
Wrong film in the series...
That's how winning is done my friend
Life kicks you in the nuts sure, but you just gotta get back up and bash life in its nuts with a sledgehammer (sorry for the graphic analogy)
Love this song 🎵 since i was a kid in the 80s. It got me through some difficult times 💪Praise Jesus
80's songs are the best. Grew up in the 80's, would not change one thing ✌✌
dont forget about movies
@@babalarassrah they were awsome 😍🎉🎉🎉. . I loved Mannequin, St. Elmose Fire and I still listen to the music of those movies 😍👍

I lost my mom four years ago my life have not been the same since now I have to fight my way through life with no help from my family or friends thinking I’m asking for pitty but I’m going through trying to stay strong in this cold mean world
This song is like a time machine taking people back to a time when anything was possible.
Back then life was great, we still had the violence but nowhere near as bad as today
Still had hope and promise. Today, they’re harder to come by.
It was not the time. It was your age. Sry to say that, but today is more possible for everybody than ever.
And so much simpler.
@@babaracuda3747 , maybe but the difference now is you got too many obstacles in life, mainly humans. Back then things were a lot simpler.
It's impossible to listen to this song without getting hyped.

i totally agree
Yeah
This one tears at the heart strings. Music has no passion like this anymore.
no you are right
Pretty sure they still do, just gotta find them
+DrmCom2003 Music LOST ALL it's feelings. Even R&B doesn't have it anymore. :(
***** Really?
+vanillaexplosion99 I 100% percent agree with you. I unfortunately was born in 2000 and would give anything to go back and grow up in the 80s, I absolutely hate the Era we currently live in. and like you said, there are few people now days who actually know how to make music.
If you've been rocking this one for decades, raise your hands 🖐️👍✌️

What a song to start the day : pure energy and vibes from the 80’s
Legendary music and still is in 2018

Sly Stallone had good taste in music, most of his movies from the 80s had great songs.
Good point. When you think about it all of them were great
...and there there was this one.
this is a good song, but video is way off for it
@@RENEGADE6232009 too handsy lol

Man, the 80’s and 90’s went all out with these songs 🤘
This is the perfect song for when you’re reminiscing about an old friend who you hugged in an ocean after a brief sprint.
Is the old friend a jacked black dude?
It is in my reminiscing
@@AaronJZY yea but he passed away from an in-ring tragedy and you're actually fighting to stop the monster from killing any other boxers and for part revenge. robert,i'm almost 40 and still noticing that there's no shortcut home and no easy way out.But good music gives me strenght and it's worth fighting for!

Everything about this song is superb. Massive underrated
I think they underrate a lot of great songs. Maybe they're not ready for them.
22 on the Charts never gets played on any of our Radio Stations which is cruel alot of Songs from Movie Soundtracks gets played to death jubebox styles like Eye Of The Tiger
I love 80's music ❤️ this is amazing!!
People dont realize how important this song is to the entire rocky series.
This scene is why rocky won.
This scene is when he decided he would die to defend his friends name, and that extra bit is why he was able to defeat a super juiced Drago
Have them be created for rocky or not?
No. But it fits in perfectly.
Well,said. I totally agree

This song Will forever be my favorite. Since I was little it made understand life on such a strong and truthful level. Not only is the song a masterpiece, It’s the montage that was cut to perfection when this song plays on Rocky IV. My whole life plays the exact same way in my head. I see every up and down all the life and deaths that happened along the way but it makes me stronger and stronger every second. The guitar solo midway and the riff at the end just makes this song cry in the most victorious way. Thank you Robert Tepper for putting your soul into delivering this timeless song. I’m thankful to grow up in this era.
