"Proud Mary", "Run Through the Jungle", "Someday Never Comes", "Hey Tonight", "Who'll Stop the Rain", "Long As I Can See the Light", "Susie Q", "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", "Travelling Band", "Fortunate Son", "Looking Out My Back Door", soo many good songs by CCR...❤❤
Good Evening Jess, and as always...You Look Beautiful tonight! Just saw this one Post and I was actually surprised; I've always heard this song before, but I never knew that it was one of theirs. My Favorites from this Group include "Born on the Bayou" / "Run Through the Jungle" / "Fortunate Son" and (of course) "Bad Moon Rising!"
CCR has a very versatile sound, and when they dig into the bluesy jams here it's so good. You might compare to Nina Simone's version. For another witchy song - Season of the Witch by Donovan. I think you will enjoy its vibes.
I really enjoy your channel. Your reactions are from the heart unlike most other reaction videos. Here are some recommendations for songs to react to: Silent Lucidity (Queensryche), From the Beginning (Emerson Lake and Palmer), Alone (Heart), Sweetest Taboo (Sade), The Sound of Silence (Simon and Garfunkel), Where is the love (Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway), Iris (Goo Goo Dolls), Wicked Game (Chris Isaak), River (Joni Mitchell).
Ah, you Aussie girl, I got out my spell book. I went to put a spell on you. Alas, I was too late. The message was clear: I was the one under your spell after your reaction to "the Lemon Song." "Run Through the Jungle" is probably my favorite, but "Someday Never Comes" is a very poignant song about a father and son. Love your channel. Reply
Check out the original, written and recorded by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. The original was much different. I like both of them. The one here by Creedence Clearwater Revival, often called CCR, is more serious.
@@inbedwithmusic2130 As a rule, when listening to CCR songs, make sure you have the full versions, not the shortened ones (e.g. "I Heard it Through the Grapevine"). For "Suzie Q", the original album cut is about 8 minutes, but there are a couple of live versions out there that are longer. One was included on the 40th anniversary edition of their debut album as an extra, and is about 10 minutes. Usually live cuts aren't as good as studio versions, but this is an exception.
Awesome, back in the days before Australian superstars like Jess and Sia I was a classic rock guy. John Fogerty is one of the greatest songwriters to ever live!!! This guy's catalog is huge, but he got ripped off by his album company or manager who stole the rights to his music. Seriously, his greatest hits album is a double disk and there were a lot left off. Oh yeah, were you blushing???

I guess "Suzie Q" has to be next, then. Long version.
That’s on my list ☺️

Or extended play "Keep on Chooglin'"!
That singer is now 77 yrs old.
Bet he’s still got it.
You're a beautiful woman. (Best wishes from a gay guy)
Thanks, Jess. Here's a medley by Voctave that I'm sure you'll love. ua-cam.com/video/aBCukAJwKN0/v-deo.html
I never heard of them before. They all have beautiful voices, but that first woman was incredible.
'what is that sound' - it's a guitar. 😁
