*I Admit it! You all were right! CCR did this thang DIFFERENT and Masterfully. Nice recommendation if I do say so myself. Now… have you gotten your wallet? LOL Just kidding. Love yall*
please please react to I've Got A Mind To Give Up Living by Peter Green's fleetwood mac, the most goddamn soulful guitar you will ever hear - "He has the sweetest tone I've ever heard; he was the only one who gave me the cold sweats." - B.B. King on Peter Green, if that doesnt say it all anyway here the link (ua-cam.com/video/IxgY9eEFiYM/v-deo.html)
I have played these CCR songs for literally almost 55 years probably have heard some of the 100s if not thousands of times and ya know what they still move me the same way they did the first time I heard-em. just so good.
The part that is only music it's the spell. I'm not kidding. Is the magic of sound frequency and they also use a little bit of sound-trance, huuum huuuuum. Its all mastered woven together with the eco in his voice. It's not satanic. Just magical.
@@JanetYoung-k5k oh of course, I meant the soul they put in their music, not a genre, they had soul in anything they played, including their blues , rock ad heck anything they played.
I love love love this cover of what was originally a truly bizarre song. Jay Hawkins was very entertaining but, musically, this version is Fogarty at his best (and the band as well). Just wonderful! Would love to see you do “Long as I Can See the Light”! Great reaction 🌺✌️
ack he's the founder of CCR, the lead guitarist and lead singer....this was live at Woodstock at about 1 AM, I was the 5th row back in the crowd and celebrating my 18th birthday. Drove all the way from Alaska to spend the glorious 3 days of my life... Love your reactions to all of CCR....songs...
And if you remember that they nearly didn't make it to woodstock, being too much of a redneckband! Glad they made it. John was already the leader of the band at that point, something his older brother, being the founder of the band, didn't really appreciate! And well, let's be honest, John was also very handsome too. Still is...
These guys were my favorite band growing up. CCR & Uriah Heep. I remember the day I bought "Some day never comes" on a 45. Love Pagan Baby & Ramble Tamble. They made my teen years special.
Man CCR are just like fine wine, they just keep getting better with age. Please please please react to CCR “long as I can see the light” you can feel all the soul of Creedence in that song!
Hope you do "Green River" and "Run Through the Jungle", 2 of CCR's best!💙 And I'd love to see you do some more Stevie Ray Vaughan (it's been a long time!). "Couldn't Stand the Weather" (the live in Austin version! Each bandmember is highlighted).. & "Life Without You" (live Capitol Theater version! Written for a dear friend of Stevie's who passed away suddenly) would be great. If you add them to a list please note the versions I mentioned. I'm pretty new here. Those SRV reactions you did are what brought me here. Your personality keeps bringing me back. But I'm sure hoping for more SRV.💙🌿💚
Talking about Fogerty playing guitar, after he left CCR he recorded under the name Blue Ridge Rangers where he played all the instruments, a real one man band. Later he released his #1 album Centerfield, which he self produced for $35k, playing all the instruments too
Had they stayed together just a little bit longer, we would probably be calling them the greatest rock band ever. Too bad they have to settle for somewhere in the Top 5........
If you’re ever heartbroken 💔 I feel like getting a bottle of your favorite liquor 🥃 and getting a cigar .. and just relaxing and listening to this .. will help you cope wit it ..
My fave CCR song...even tho it's a cover. Just so much soul in this version. Loving your Credence journey Van, so glad you started this channel or you would never have heard any of this stuff...awesome bro.
The guitar transition takes it from a blues song to a blues rock song. For a pure blues version listen to Nina Simone’s version and Annie Lennox version. Both just fabulous!
John Fogerty has an incredible and easily recognizable voice. I saw CCR on Aug 3, 1969. Also saw Fogerty a few years ago. He was part of a benefit for veterans.
Well now you've hit their two important covers. They do some others but none as memorable as the ones you've seen. The rest of their great songs are all originals One that I've never seen a reaction to that I really like is Up Around The Bend. It's part of what I refer to as their friendly collection...songs that just have an easy going feeling, inviting feel. Willie and the Poor Boys is another obvious one thst fits, as is Green River.
You had the same reaction I do every time I listen to this song. I have to sit and listen to this song, stop what I'm doing and listen. Thank you for sharing💖 btw-when you forget something, its called "delayed brilliance!"😜
Another masterful performance by this great, great band. If you want to check out some of their live clips, Van, then try some of their Woodstock performance. They tore it up. There's no real need to recommend any CCR stuff because you'll probably get there anyway, but what the hell! "Lodi", "Green River", "Run Through The Jungle", "Who'll Stop The Rain", "Feelin' Blue", "Ramble Tamble", "Up Around The Bend"...hey man they're all good!
You gotta do "Pagan Baby," or "Nighttime is the Right Time!" The guitar solos always melt my soul and John's voice is perfectly raw! Then there's "Born to Move" and the organ solo that will have you moving!
Absolutely one of my fovourite CCR songs, John Fogerty is such an amazing singer! Also, Van, buddy, guy, did ya not have the patience to wait for the previous version to reach 2000? :P JK, love ya man
I've never heard this version that I can remember. And I grew up listening to 60s & 70s music. Very awesome. Awesome reaction. I love how versatile you are with your reaction choices and the passion you put into each one.
You have seen the original with screaming J and ccrs classic version, now you have to watch 8 year old Angelina Jordon version, it will blow your mind.
Listen to the song "Hard to Handle", written and recorded 1967 by Otis Redding, and the cover by The Black Crowes recorded 1990, their first hit single.
Glad you appreciate enjoy this great music. I knew the first time I heard Suzie Q in 68 they would be big. Big fan of theirs. This may be my favorite. Up Around the Bend & Traveling Band r very good also, plus more. John was doing a concert recently in FL, must of been great. Keep up the good work.
I Love CCR. Check out FORTUNANT SON, TRAVELING BAND, GREEN RIVER. I NEVER GOT TO SEE THEM LIVE BUT ABOUT 15 YRS AGO I SAW JOHN FOGARTY PERFORM WITH JOHN MELLANCAMP IN ATLANTA. WONDERFUL. GOOD REACTION.
Love the CCR. But when are we gonna get some allman brothers reactions? "Whipping post " is always a good place to start. But they've got tons of good music. Southern Rock, kind of like lynrd skynrd with a jam band/ hippie feel mixed with some blues (whipping post is heavy on the blues side)
*I Admit it! You all were right! CCR did this thang DIFFERENT and Masterfully. Nice recommendation if I do say so myself. Now… have you gotten your wallet? LOL Just kidding. Love yall*
You should try Marilyn Manson's cover now!

Van Van Van ... you gotta hear CCR do "long as I see the light" .. you won't regret it ...
John is Cajun and he wears it on his chest like a badge I love him for that he is from the swamp
really they are awesome!!!!!!!
Underrated guitar player.
CCR is so good, they never made a bad song period!
Listening to this song is like an out of body experience. His voice is so soulful and he was downright MEAN with that guitar.
I have played these CCR songs for literally almost 55 years probably have heard some of the 100s if not thousands of times and ya know what they still move me the same way they did the first time I heard-em. just so good.
Hahaha. "Let me pause it because something about to go down" love it. And you were right.

These guys are incredible, they have so much soul in their music. I heard that they were fans of james brown. I can hear so much soul in their music.
Not just soul but blues as well.

i love that voice of his so unique.
John's still going. Love you John fogerty!! You keep going!

CCR is the best American rock band of that generation.
And if you remember that they nearly didn't make it to woodstock, being too much of a redneckband! Glad they made it. Raw emotion
Yayyyy he did it....
AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Goosebumps, Man.
Oh, yeah, they're killing it.
These guys were my favorite band growing up. CCR & Uriah Heep. I remember the day I bought "Some day never comes" on a 45. Love Pagan Baby & Ramble Tamble. They made my teen years special.
John is a multi instrumentist. He played all the instruments on his solo album Centerfield.
My goodness they were off the charts
Perfection. What a voice. What a tune. What playing. Heaven.
It's crazy to me the impact this group had for only being together for four short years.
I love CCR
God it seems they were together so much longer. So fabulous a Band.!!!
Yup,killed by brotherly conflict. So sad.
@@xScooterAZx Victims of their success. I suppose you can say a 4-man, 1970s band isn't run like a democracy.
@@williamwarlick3497 Hit after hit after hit.
This is from their Woodstock Festival set, summer 1969. Fogerty said they came on after the Grateful Dead at like 2 AM.
Born On The Bayou is great too - they were an excellent and talented band - Tom Fogarty (the bro) was on bass but I forget who the drummer was
Ramble Tamble, I highly recommend it
I still love Screaming Jay but this is soooooo great. Run Through the Jungle and Green River are incredible too.
*****What a great day it is, when we can all just come together & love great music*****
Nobody else suggesting this so... traveling band. They really rock out on this one!
Gotta take a listen to “Susie Q” by CCR
Very glad you were able to find all of this music floating around out there this is GREAT MUSIC
11 minute version!
Long as I can see the light!
'"looking Out My Back Door": is another good one!!!!
Amazing vocals and totally unique style. Incredible band, ccr and zeppelin are next level by a mile.
Man CCR are just like fine wine, they just keep getting better with age. Please please please react to CCR “long as I can see the light” you can feel all the soul of Creedence in that song!
Yes!! Much better!
best ccr cover.....Oooby dooby

Ramble Tamble. You wont be disappointed.
Please do "As Long As I Can See The Light"
Had they stayed together just a little bit longer, we would probably be calling them the greatest rock band ever. Too bad they have to settle for somewhere in the Top 5........
I love all of your CCR reactions.
"Long as I Can See the Light" has the saxaphone in it, and it is a great song to just chill to
Nice reaction! Btw, that video was from CCR's set at Woodstock, 1969

A fun CCR song: IT Came out of the Sky!!
You're a wonderful person (LFR FAMILY) You're a good person, I'm sure! :)
Very possibly the best cover of this song.... EVER ! Josh Stone is also Great and so Easy on the Eyes. Dis is Blues/Rock at its best
Netflix has a great special with interviews of the band members still alive. Love watching you sing and appreciate his voice.
One of my brags in life is getting to see Screamin' Jay Hawkins live. Phenomenal!

Josh Stone...great blues version
He just turned 80_yrs old last week.
I'd love for you to do Lodi. It's a little different than most of CCR's songs, but you still know that it's CCR when you hear it.
Total religious experience
OMG Love love CCR what one hell of a song loved it loved your reaction thank you
Voodoo Blues !!!
So glad I grew up with this music...love love CCR
John Fogerty has an incredible and easily recognizable voice. I saw CCR on Aug 3, 1969. Also saw Fogerty a few years ago. He was part of a benefit for veterans.
John plays while he sings on all his songs.
This is ear candy💞
CCR - Keep On Chooglin (Live 1970)
CCR did the best covers ever.................."Heard it Though the Grapevine" and this "I Put a Spell on You"!!!
"Long as I can see the light" by ccr!!!!!
I've always thought the guitar duet build-up section was their way of putting their own spin on the song, adding theri signature.
Great reaction, thanks. Even tho this is a cover for me is the best version of them all.
