John Fogerty is a legend. He was the brains behind CCR. Wrote their songs, lead singer and phenomenal guitar player. A very distinctive voice. Still rockin' and touring at 75!
This is mind blowing, maybe my favorite song of theirs. 🔥🔥🔥🔥FIRE, More Fire songs by them. Fortune Son, Travelin Band, Up around the Bend and The Nightime is the Right Time plus many other of their very good songs. I'm listening to music since 1958 still my favorite band ever. John Fogerty 74 is still performing.
It is so hard to believe all these msterpieces of music came out in only four years of performances, 1968 to 1972. But they got together and conceived the group in 1959 when they were 13 years old.
Wow ! What I grew up listening to and still love em ! I just ran upon this one and I thought I'd watched all of your Reactions but I haven't and what better way to start a Friday morning off !
I consider the music of the 60's as the greatest music in rock & roll history. And CCR was a big part of that history. To have been together for only 6 years from 1966 to 1972. Have many hits that are still being heard today on radio and in movies. Get inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Its an indictment on how great their music was and still is. This is legendary and epic in the annals of rock & roll history...Awesome Post!
Omg i love Clayton's Clearwater .And i love those times .Thire's nothing like them .And i love seeing the young people of todays listing to them and seeing there reaction.love love.
Another one from my mispent youth. These guys were all over the radio back in the late '60s, early '70s. I've been watching his Quarentine at home concerts with his 2 sons and his daughter doing the "oldies". Still kicking it after all these years.
instant stank face !........Screamin' Jay says......."Oh Yeah, you better sing, bro.....".........this song was originally done by "Screamin Jay" Hawkins in 1956.....this video is from the 1st Woodstock 1969

Every CCR song is great. There isn't one I skip! New to the channel so if you've done it already I apologize but Lookin' Out My Back Door is another great one. My second favorite version of this song is the one in Hocus Pocus lmao
CCR rocks love this version. Try (long as I can see the light),(hey tonight),(proud Mary),(down on the corner),(lookin out my backdoor),(fortunate son)all classics and worth a reaction.
As you saw in the comments of the video, this song is a cover - originally recorded in 1956 by "Screaming Jay" Hawkins - and it's not even the first one: Nina Simone was the first to cover it in 1965, then The Alan Price Set in 1966 and only in 1968 CCR did theirs. Just some trivia I thought you might want to know. ; )

CCR! have You Ever Seen The Rain ...I swore for years that the Fogerty bros were from the South; to my chagrin (and horror! LOL they are from NoCal!) my goodness it is so good to hear John Fogerty!! If you want to see him today he has lost nothing by being 72!
Is the original with they did it would suck I’m 75 and I was there Woodstock that was the biggest festival going in my day they laid it down and laid it out trust me three days and three nights after Jimi Hendrix was Janis Joplin any popular everybody was there you can play anything from their catalog and I’ll be good this is the queen

I like this song, but everytime I hear it it reminds me of Bette Midler in Hocus Pocus. :D If you get a chance to check it out Layzie Bone has a new song out "Be Somebody".
Probably the coolest blues rock band of all time!
I grew up in high school with this band playing 1968 thru 1972. I easily put them ahead of other popular bands during that time. Uno numero.

New Orleans style blues/rock, done by the masters of the genre. Still impressive after all this time.
Can't believe I'm late to this reaction! CCR is everything! Classic rock from Norcal! Timeless! 💯
My favorite version of this song. CCR
This is just mind blowing - headphones on and volume full up . They also do an amazing version of " I heard it through the Grapevine".
Long version of "Keep on Chooglin'" will keep your foot tappin', too! Just wish their inner rancor hadn't ruined such perfection!
From the Golden Age of Rock Music ... a classic performance of powerful vocals and a sensuous guitar solo that still resonates 62 years later ...
You can practically see the haints floating through the dark swamp mists in this song!
