CCR was the hottest act in the world at the time of Woodstock. Following the Grateful Dead wasn't a problem because the Dead were a big act, but more because of their vibe.
Thank you my Brother, the original writer and singer was "Screamin' Jay" Hawkins" ua-cam.com/video/7kGPhpvqtOc/v-deo.html It's still here on UA-cam written and sang by Jalacy "Screamin' Jay" Hawkins. But this one is my favorite version. Outstanding Reaction, you are the King of The Mix. The interviews werethe first time i have heard them.
One of the greatest America n rock bands. Around only 6 years, they were dominating the charts like The Beatles. Go down their rabbit hole, you’ll be glad you did. And, yes, you MUST check out Janice…..one of a kind.
Thats a great description, 2 guitars having a shoot-out. For me, it really comes down to the fact that he's putting on that spell and the guitars are symbolically doing it at that point. Great song.
Back in the day ... Vancouver. 5th Day night club. Circa 1971. CCR dominated the play list. Catchy pop songs. 30 years later somewhere on the internet I heard ''I Put a Spell on You.'' Hmmm. Wow. Now, 50 years later, it just rips me up. So, so powerful. Fogerty's singing rips you open, as he spills his guts out. Amazing guitar, drums. Haunting. So very glad Fogerty got the rights to his songs back. He just keeps on trucking. He is a treasure.
The two guitars in ccr are John forgery (lead) and his brother Tom (rhythm). This is a cover of original by jay Hawkins 1956. There are many covers including Nina Simone
Yes, you do Janice. Chaplin was one of the greatest singers that ever lived. You will see once you get into Janice. Chaplin exactly how many girls fled her and you talk about soul and she was a white girl but let me tell you all you gotta do is play Janice Chaplin at Monterey Festival live and you’ll know what Janice Chaplin‘s all about and then you’ll know when you can get into it, all my love Liz The Queen
Enjoyed your reaction to CCR. If you haven’t, I highly recommend you react to the Allman Brothers song Whipping Post (make sure it’s the studio version, not a live version). There’s a great video on UA-cam of this song where the lyrics are burnt into wood. I think you will really like this song.
Screaming Jay Hawkins had the original, but this cover blows that away. Now please hear this. I click on your channel for the 1st time and see I put a spell on you, then hear 10 minutes of two useless clips before the the song song begins. Improvement? Play the song without all that BS before the song even begins.
CCR has no bad songs. Keep listening. ❤❤❤❤
What perfection sounds like. You got that right.
Ohhh this one brings great memories!!
Camera looks great!❤
Thanks!

Their 11 min version of Heard It Through The Grapevine is transcendental!
