I have one question for you regarding nano quads: If you had to choose only one nano quad out of all the ones you reviewed, which one would you choose?
Thanks! :) I think my favorite nano would be the Cheerson CX-10. But, if you are a beginner and looking to get into RC flying, I would not suggest starting with a nano. They are actually harder to fly than larger quads, and not as durable or repairable.
Hmmm... Got it! They look like so much fun, especially for annoying my 2 dogs! Would you recommend the Hubsan X4 for a noobie?
The X4 is pretty fast and twitchy, so I don't usually recommend it either. But, that size quad would be better than a nano. Check out my review of the XTFlyer XT001A. It is well-protected and durable... and the surrounding cage may make it perfect for playing with your dogs, without worrying about them getting clipped by a prop. :)

This is not a model intended for outdoor flying, and you wouldn't be able to see it on camera if I flew any further away from the camera.

Jeez, you make it look easy. I just got mine yesterday and all it wants to do is zip around forward or backward on the floor at the speed of light. I can't keep not crashing it.
If you are using the wheels, make sure the quad is sitting level before you give throttle. That should help it lift off straight up, instead of going forwards or backwards.
I crashed once and then the wheels snapped apart.

my transmitter control doesn't communicate with the drone at times. any clue why? it works fine but the minute I calibrate it left right up or down it just shuts off.

Hey Ryan! I'm a huge fan of your videos. I purchased a Tarantula x6 and a Syma X11 (at different times) solely because your videos were so in depth about them. Anyway, I'm looking to buy a few micro quadcopters with a hover feature. Any suggestions?
Hmm, I haven't had much experience with micros with altitude hold yet, so nothing comes to mind. The Hubsan X4 Plus models may be a good choice, if you're looking more for aerial video kind of flight, and not sportiness.

The wheels on the R C is heavy for the drone so it will take up more battery
Got one for my son and the controller makes one beep red light won't come on but it beeps one time when I hit the power button drone comes on and is looking for controller but nothing..
I got one for Christmas but when u take off it like jerks forwards and doesn't want to go backwards
does it fly more agile a little quicker without the wheels I'm sure it does that's a lot of weight for a little quad to carry
Yeah, definitely, but it's not a huge difference.

I can never even learn to steer mine! so I tied a string to the barrier cage thing and it float around still fun that way :/ I guess...

what do u do with the controller to get it started
Shouldn't have to do anything... turn on the quad, then turn on the controller. You may have to raise and then lower the throttle once before the motors arm.
is there a reason why the controllers for micros are so small?
I guess because it's cost less to make
I think the idea is so that they are similar in size to the quad, so that the entire package is small and easily transportable.

how to you equalize the drone to fly without it moving to one direction without you controlling
Try recalibrating it, as I explained in the review. It will always drift a bit on its own though... no quad hovers perfectly in place for long, unless it has GPS.

I'm going to need more information... in what way does it not fly? Do the props spin, but it doesn't lift up? If so, you probably have the props on in the wrong positions.

Sure, though I don't really recommend flying quads this small outdoors. You won't be able to see it at a distance, and if you crash it in the crash, you might not be able to find it.

If you give me some actual info and details, I may be able to help you. If I were to take a wild guess, I bet you probably have the props on in the wrong positions.
Well, sorry to tell you, but I sort of raged and returned the drone to the store yesterday afternoon, but basically the props were on in the right placements, it's just that ever time I would rev to full gas, it would fly uncontrollably, and I swear, I would turn off the controller, and the thing was still flying, I tried everything, but then, yesterday it crashed, sent one of the props flying, and destroyed the motor, so I kind of had to return it. But all in all, before the drone started to act up, it was a really fun experience, just wish I knew what caused to act that way, oh and sorry for the language from yesterday.
