Hey Guru.. great review!! Silverlit was one of my first rc helicopters I bought after seeing one by way of your review,!!👍👍.. and it still flys.. beat up, but still flyin!!!!.. 😂
I just don't trust it in that sort of environment, unless I got an absolute no-wind day, which is pretty much impossible. These 3ch coaxial helicopters are not good in the wind at all.
Flyin' Ryan, yes I laughed when you talked about that in your desktop review... I was reminded of the spectacular "Flippin' Ryan" boat crash episode on your choppy lake !!!
The NanoQX2 is a great model long flite times and very durable a side by side comparison would be very interesting as they use the same vtx/camera but different batt, chassis and motor combos. Its cold and windy in the midwest also can't wait for spring flying season. Thanks for you reply!
I know you don't trust it over outdoor water, but I really think this little guy may surprise you. Moving on the water like that is a much more efficient way to get these little guys going. It's not trying to keep itself aloft, and it has the advantage of ground effect
The main issue is flying to and away from the water. These 3ch coaxial helicopters just have no authority in the wind, and it's very rare that I have calm enough days here, especially out in the open where my pond is. I'd also worry that choppy water, along with wind gusts, would be more likely to tip it over in the water.
Flyin' Ryan RC it's probably got a decent conformal coating on the electronics since it's made for the water, but I get not wanting to try and retrieve a bird sized object from the middle of a pond. It may be a good snow skimmer
I just don't trust it in that sort of environment, unless I got an absolute no-wind day, which is pretty much impossible. These 3ch coaxial helicopters are not good in the wind at all.
One thing I don’t get about helicopters is that they break quickly so don’t use them outside only if the Packaging says it’s ok to play with it outside
hey flyin ryan....could you do a review of the silverlit nano xquad, because i recently purchased one and i couldnot find any reviews about it on youtube....much appreciated and keep up the good work
Yeah, i was very tempted to get it, but ultimately I decided that I just don't think it would work well in the lake I have access to. I think it needs very calm weather, and preferably a pool with no waves.
you are good at that.... i would have crashed the frigerator, stove, floor and the sink... and if i tried landing in that bucket i woud be way off🖒🖒🖒😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah, I don't think this is available for sale yet. I am an "official" Silverlit reviewer, so they send me items to review, and I think this one is pre-release.
Hi Ryan. I checked to make sure I have the little bell checked so as to know when you upload, but it has been WAY too long for me sense your last. So the question is... HAVE YOU STOPPED REVIEWING?
I haven't stopped... just sort of taking a break. I burnt myself and need to give myself some time to just sort of enjoy my free time and let the inspiration and motivation return. :)
Hey Ryan nice review. I was wondering what your recommendation for a drone would be for around a $100. I recently bought a cheaper one and it for about $60 and it seems to have burned out already :/
There is no way for me to answer that, for a couple reasons: One, I simply don't know the price of every quad on the market, so I don't even know what options would meet your budget, And two, what I would recommend has everything to do with what sort flying you are looking to do; there are AV quad, sport quads, FPV quads, etc... what kind do you want? It may be best for you to start by going through my playlists, and at least narrowing down your options and pinpointing exactly what sort of features you want, and then I can help with a choice between a few different options. :)
Flyin' Ryan RC The quad I mentioned is my first one and I actually do pretty well with it. I mostly care just about sporty flying. I watch just about all your reviews. I have interest in the traxxas alias you reviewed well. I want something that's not to expensive and that's gonna last as I'm just getting into this hobby. Thanks for the response.
The Alias would definitely be a good option for sporty flying, but as far as lasting long, that can really vary. All of these cheaper quads use brushed motors, which all have a limited lifespan. And that lifespan can be greatly reduced by "user error", such as crashing while the motors are being powered, overheating the motors, carrying extra weight, etc, etc. But, the Alias motors are SUPER easy to replace, so that may be something you'll want to prepare yourself to have to do and understand that's just part of the hobby. :) Once you get better at flying, and are ready to spend more money, get a quad with brushless motors, and you can expect potentially unlimited lifespan. :)
This was sent to me to review by Silverlit. It doesn't look like it's available for sale yet, so I don't know how much it will cost when it comes out to the public.
I have both the QX2 FPV and Inductrix FPV and plan on reviewing both as soon as I can. The problem is, winter is moving in, making outdoor flying very hard and unlikely to get good wind conditions, and I'm not sure I can pull of filming either of those models indoors. So, I'm not sure how soon I'll be able to review them.
There is no way to answer that question. First, I don't know the prices of every quad on the market, so I simply can't use that as a metric in suggestions. Second, "best" is relative and has everything to do with sort of flying you want to do, what sort of features you want, and how much flying experience you have.
Because I don't want to put my bathroom on UA-cam for the world to see, lol. And it's small, so it's hard to fly in there, and would be awkward trying to film in there.
+Lloyd Campbell Nope, they are two different companies. But, Air Hogs does sell some Silverlit products in the US. Silverlit doesn't release all their models in America under their own brand name.
yep Ryan, i agree with you about Silverlit items, good stuff they offer. :)

Flyin' Ryan RC
i bought the exact same model in red but mine has a really low battery and flies really low , any advice
Lol
Muhammad Bakhshi rc drones, planes and helicopters loses a lot of efficiency at high altitudes and so don’t fly long or don’t fly at all.
Cool would like to see you try this in the pond!
I just don't trust it in that sort of environment, unless I got an absolute no-wind day, which is pretty much impossible. These 3ch coaxial helicopters are not good in the wind at all.

Oh nice idea!!! I'll definitely have to keep this around to try on the snow now. Thanks for that! :)
Flyin' Ryan RC yeah, it seems like it's kind of difficult to find small toy-grade RC that has any chance in the snow
now I wanna see this thing on the lake!

One thing I don’t get about helicopters is that they break quickly so don’t use them outside only if the Packaging says it’s ok to play with it outside

How to get the helicopter to heights do we need to constantly keep the throttle up?? Mine is not going above 1 meter.
i love it i have one
I just saw a thing on parrot, apparently they made a hydrofoil/ drone
Yeah, i was very tempted to get it, but ultimately I decided that I just don't think it would work well in the lake I have access to. I think it needs very calm weather, and preferably a pool with no waves.

I have a video with tips to help you learn how to fly here: ua-cam.com/video/N4qJNgV0DGI/v-deo.html
Hello. Does anyone know if there is any rc helicopter that can fly more than 6 minutes? At least, say, 20 minutes?
WHERE YOU BUY THIS
This was sent to me to review. I don't know where it is available for sale.
I can't see a way to purchase items on Silverlit link ? :(

Ryan can you review more propel stuff? If yes Thanks!!!
Not likely... they are generally over-priced and not of interest to me. I do plan on getting all the Propel Star Wars quads though.
Flyin' Ryan RC 👍🏼
What happened in 11:12 to 11:14
"Oh Dear!" LOL.
The things a grown man says when he's trying to keep his channel family friendly, but usually talks like a sailor when not on camera. :)~
LOL. I know how it is!
How much this helicopter
Thank you :)

Ive been watching for awhile now and was wondering if yiu would do a review on the Nano Qx2 fpv as the tiny whoop has all the spotlight.
I have both the QX2 FPV and Inductrix FPV and plan on reviewing both as soon as I can. try the transforming plane /helicopter
I'm gonna need more info than that. Got a brand or model name? Link?
air hogs fury jump jet
Jordan Powell I reviewed that a long time ago. ;)
He should do a give away
I don't do giveaways for many reasons, sorry.
Ryan what is the best quadcopter I can get for 300 dollars or under

like and all around drone and i'm advanced pilot
There isn't really such a thing as "all around". There are aerial video quads, sport flyers, FPV flyers, etc.
like a small fpv quad
Maybe the Walkera Rodeo 150 then?
What does coaxial mean again
Coaxial means it has two sets of main rotor blades, which rotate in opposite directions. :)
+Flyin' Ryan RC thanks a lot!
wow not bad

you ever play chess on your kitchen floor?
Why don't you use a bathtub??
Because I don't want to put my bathroom on UA-cam for the world to see, lol. And it's small, so it's hard to fly in there, and would be awkward trying to film in there.
