One solution for the whole "filling with water" problem would be to leave a little room below the lowest deck, and build the floor of the lowest desk with holes in it, so any water can go into the extra room. And then you add a pump to that extra room to get the water back out.
As a warship lover guy, this is an absolute W man. You really made nearly everything, just like how a carrier works like the catapult, elevators, and others, great job my man. Now I wonder if you can make a battleship and its cannons can shoot.
@TrustandbelieveintheLORD Ok I get it religion gives you a good moral basis, but this is a video about a grown man making an aircraft carrier out of LEGO bricks 💀💀💀
I would suggest putting air bladders in the void between the hull plates instead of sponges. The sponges will just hold the water, which won't be any better than just the water only being there. Those airpak bladders that come in stuff shipped to your house would work.
@@TreyJarvis thanks! Originally made it in Animal Crossing: New Horizons then made it for real in photoshop! Also: what’s your fave zelda? Mine’s Majora!

Big tip to seal all the cracks just use small clear tape (waterproof) it will make the cracks not leak water making it float.hope this helps❤😊 Timestamps: 0:581:19
My grandfather is a former Navy plane captain, which is someone who checks all of the jet engines to make sure they are in tip top shape before they launch the plane off the aircraft carrier. My grandfather worked on the USS Kitty Hawk and the USS Enterprise (not the Star Trek ship). He was stationed out in California during that time back in the 80s.
@@TheDutchDinooo He was also part of the Air National Guard, NASA, and a police officer. When he worked at NASA, he was in charge of working on the main engines for all 7 of the space shuttles, from Endeavor to Discovery. I got to see Atlantis at the space center a few years ago. It is much larger and much more beautiful in person than on a photo.
As an avgeek, this is the most beautiful lego build I have ever seen. It is also VERY accurate to real carriers, such as the catapult launch system and elevators, even down to the mechanisms.
This is so cool! I've always wanted to see a large scale model of the LMS Explorer from Lego Rockraiders! I'd buy it if they released it. You should try building a submarine next lol.
You for got to think about the sides what you could do is “if you don’t want seal it with gloss prime after” is you could put rubber padding in between that’s one lago thick all round underside of the boat in between that should be good enough…
Really good build and i love it alot tho if you are going to build more ships i can only recomend making the sides airtight with wrap since thats where most of the water comes from, the bottom of the ship isnt your enemy its the walls
Tip on making aircrsft carriers which I haven't done yet, you could instal another runway, or add some more details lights Optical Landing system. (AND ARRESTING WIRES) lights or the numbers on the Islans like, 88, or 67
I think the water got in because you didn't wrap the boat "vertically", so the water could seep in from the side and not from the bottom, and the sponges don't actually remove the water, they just soak it up, but the water's still inside. I think that you should wrap the boat around the hull as well, or build a pump mechanism to remove the water once it gets inside. Perhaps you could even pump the water out backwards to create thrust
This is super cool! I saw a video from ten years ago called “”Tutorial” Building Floating Lego Ship”” by FreeRunGT that was fully brick built, and I think it would be insane to see a massive version of it for a ship at a scale like this.
Really nice build ! 👏 I built a Lego boat 25 years ago, around a block of carved polystyrene. (so it didn't need to be watertight) The propeller axis passed through the hull with a seal to protect the engine. (There was no remote control at the time, si I had to make a special long wire up to the battery)
A good trick I used when making Lego boats was to put cling film round the body then lock it in place with one line of bricks and you get a water tight hull
You are the best UA-cam on the platform. I love your content and use it as inspiration to build my lego creations. I watched your robot arm video and it was amazing and I decided to build one like it. It is just a small one but it’s really cool

smart move on the sand bags, because on the real ships, the crew has to shift the ammo around to balance the ships weight to keep it leveled
You just need a bilge pump, and it would probably float for a long time. You could design in a sump in the hull somewhere.
