    Love your channels! I started watching shorts of your garden, then the cooking channel! I could almost watch them all day! You have SO many good things on both! I have told others about you and will continue to spread the good word. Aldo love your motivational comments. I look for them daily! Thank you so much! Have really learned a lot and am sure a lot more to come! You should be in commercials! You sure do have the knack, voice, and expression needed for that. Hoping someone that could help you views your channel...if that would be something you would want.. but you would really be good at it! Have a wonderful blessed day Pam! You really deserve a lot of blessings just for making your viewers smile! 🙂

    Thank you!

    Just a tip for using the mandoline: don't pick up the potato between cuts. Slide it back and forth and it'll be a lot easier and quicker! This helps you to maintain an even amount of pressure on the potato. Yours were beautiful and I'm sure they were delicious! Have you tried making them in an Air Fryer?

    For those of us who dont have a mandolin slicer:
    I peel my potatoes, rinse, then use the PEELER to make slices.
    It's made to take nice, thin, even slices of skin,
    but can also work to make even slices of potato.
    I slice the potatoes across the TOP of the potato, down to the bottom,
    because that way, the potato slices are a small enough surface,
    to continue on from the top to bottom of the potato,
    without slices being too big for the peeler to handle.
    The peeler makes nice, thin, even slices.
    Yes, it's more work, but it does make nice even slices.

    Thanks Pam for one of my favorite snacks. Lays is pretty much number one with Honey Barbecue and Vinegar Chios. I will try to make the Vinegar chips by adding vinegar to the cold water. I will use Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar. For the honey barbecue I will add some honey barbecue sauce into the cold water. For the oil I will use some Avocado Oil. Thanks for the recipe.

    • @WarmFuzzyVibes
      @WarmFuzzyVibes Рік тому +9

      Actually, adding the BBQ sauce to the water probably won't work because the water gets boiled off. Just do them regular and add BBQ seasoning powder to the finished chips at the end along with the salt.

    • @marycovington9788
      @marycovington9788 Рік тому +3

    • @beewest5704
      @beewest5704 Рік тому +1

      Putting seasoning in water is a waste of seasoning & you will have no flavor on your chips. Just add seasoning as soon as you take it out of the oil.

    Sorry about all the comments. Us home cooks have to support each other. A great chef to watch on here for technical knowledge is Chef Jean-Pierre. He was a commercial chef and restauranteur then he opened and ran a culinary school for like 20 years. He has a great personality too. But his technique and explanations at top notch. Not to take anything away from you or your channel. But the little things can make a big difference in the final products. Hope this helps.
