I’ve had my razer black shark v2 for over two years now and it’s so good still. I love the noise cancellation on both the sound and mic. I use it for both Xbox and pc and it sounds so good with both. Highly recommend for $100 and it is also very comfortable, at times it feels like I’m not even wearing it.

I currently have the Steelseries Arctis 7s. They're "OK" and that's it. 1) Very LITTLE BASS compared to the Logitechs. 2) The elastic headband loses it's elasticity VERY fast and then flops around on your head. 3) ALL my Steelseries headsets (I've owned 3 through the years) have eventually broken off one of the earphones from the headband. Steelseries is VERY successful at marketing. That's it.

I have Steelseries artic pro with the lights on it, gaming dac.. to me the sound quality is very good. with the dac its louder than any other headset I have had. I didnt like logitech. its just a matter of opinion. I got mine through Best Buy and bought a 2 year warranty for 30 bucks. so i get a new pair if it fails. but so far, it never has. Also Steelseries is very nice.. I did have one that did break and I wasnt sure why. I contacted them, they made a case number and 2 weeks later they sent me a new pair free of charge.

Depends on the Headset you got.
The first one I bought, the Gen 3 A50’s 4 years ago was glitched out of the box, returned it within a couple days and got a replacement. That one worked for 3 years and the sides that hold the ear cuffs broke. It had some cutting out near the end of me using it but it was great overall.
Bought a new pair, the Gen 4 A50’s a year ago.
They’ve been working great for me.
For the price, it might be too much because of their durability. I think a 300$ headset should last at least 4-5 years.
I basically got a 100$ a year worth out of my Gen 3’s

I currently own the arctis 7p - i did a ton of research looking up "best ps5 headset" and this got 1st place on almost every website. However, I'm just not that blown away. While the sound does sound fantastic yes, and the highs and mids are crisp, and the audio response time from the headphones are probably the quickest and most accurate on any wireless headset I've ever tried. But I've got 4 issues with this headset that is holding me back from keeping it.
#1 I cant find a perfect sound profile that I like .. I tried Immersion and performance both with DRC on low, medium and high. The closest i got to perfect was performance mode with DRC on low.. this helped the headset from distorting during loud sounds.. however, it changed the quality of my audio and it bothered me way too much once I realized that the audio was compressed. Performance mode with DRC off was great, however during loud explosions, rather than the headset shaking my whole head.. it feels more like a slight vibration on your ears followed by huge distortion... so no.. not very immersive at all. While I need a headset that helps with footsteps, I still would like to be fully immersed in my games.
#2 I cant stand the fact that this headset has no option to toggle between your eq presets via your phone or headset. Having to unplug the dongle and get my laptop every time I want to adjust the sound is a HUGE pain in the ass.. and I found slowly I stopped doing it, and would just put up with the sound it had.
#3 The bass... oh boy the bass. Half the time i feel like I'm literally searching for the bass.. yes it's totally there, but imagine somebody at a party who didn't get invited and is standing half outside the front door with a cigarette for the whole night - he's there but he's not really there - that's probably the best way I can describe this bass. It's there, but it's also not there if that makes any sense. I can totally hear it, but it does not pack a punch at all, and when it does try to throw a punch it distorts lol... My Turtle beaches had so much bass packed into it there were some in-game explosions I literally had to brace myself for. THATS fkn sick. Not this half ass bass you get with the arctis
#4 The sound bleeds, and badly. My microphone is pulled out all the way to my mouth, and my friends can still hear my game audio when my volume is up at loud (which it normally is as this headset is not very loud) I find myself having to turn down my microphone sensitivity so that friends don't hear my game, but then it makes my voice so low that I can barely be heard when we're in the middle of a gunfight in warzone. My buddy asked multiple times if my tv audio was on which every time. it wasn't. Quite annoying. Not to mention as well that the range on this headset is just as good as any other wireless headset if not worse, as soon as I walk towards my stairs the headset will cut out.. which is probably the least important issue out of everything I pointed out, but I noticed it.
All in all... for a headset that costs almost $250 CAD after taxes, I just don't see the hype. It's a fantastic headset for it's connectivity, extremely low input lag, comfortability, and crisp mids and highs, but I find that with this headset, there is a thin line between me and the immersion ... and I think that is mostly to do with the lack of bass, distortions, 40mm drivers, and the fact that most presets are geared towards specific games, and I certainly don't pull my laptop out just to change the EQ for 1 game.
    ___________________________________________________
    EDIT
After trying the Razer Blackshark V2 Pros, and the TB Stealth 700 Gen 2, I decided to keep the turtle beaches. Trust me I have the same mentality that turtle beach belongs in the high school days but for some reason the stealth 700 gen 2's impressed me in every category that the other 2 headsets had flaws.
1)Bass is crisp as crisp, explosions are loud and boomy, the 50mm drivers also really add to the immersion.
2)3D sound is not as good as the Arctis 7p's, but it's still more than good. Turn on superhuman hearing and you can get a really nice crisp positional audio with compromising some of the sound quality.
3)Being able to customize my presets via my phone and via the headset was all that I asked for
4)Nice well built headset, feels sturdy and heavy duty. A bit tight at first but it breaks in.
    5) Being able to answer a phone call during a game is a gamechanger, so cool how it can connect to both the phone and your system at the same time.
For all of these reasons, I swallowed my pride and went with the TB brand, I have no regrets, and am much more satisfied with these vs the artcis or the blacksharks, this may be different with personal preference though

I'm using the TB Stealth 700 Gen 2's. And I've got no complaints. I have 15 years of musical experience so my ears aren't perfect but not amateur, and these turtle beaches don't sound bad at all!

  • @genefactor007
    @genefactor007 2 роки тому +18

I really enjoyed this list. However I'd like to give a little info for those who'd like to learn some things from someone who actually used some of this stuff. Also please keep in mind what I say is my opinion. Okay, ready? Firstly as much as I love the SteelSeries 7x, I find it hard to believe it's held in higher regard than many of the others here. Don't get me wrong, I love my SteelSeries headset, hell it's my headset of choice for my PS5 but there were some heavy hitters on this list. Where I think the SteelSeries fall short is sound. Well, not entirely. See, the sound on the SteelSeries 7x/p is amazing. It really is. BUT if you want that BANG, you may want to look elsewhere. Personally I prefer deep bass and these, though nice, is missing that 'bang, pow' just a smidgen. Again, lovely sound, but you can tell the drivers in these are smaller than others on the list. One thing that does help the sound a great deal is pumping Dolby through them. They shine with Dolby. Well what headset wouldn't. :) Oh and a HUGE mistake made in this video... the 7X isn't just limited to the Xbox. It works on all consoles, Xbox, PS, and Switch. That's why I find it the preferred headset to the 7p which is limited to just the PS and Switch. The dongle that comes with the 7x has a switch; one side is labeled Xbox, while the other is USB which covers everything else. So yeah, the 7X is the way to go.
Another headset I use that was on this list is the Xbox 1st party headset. I have to admit, I was surprised by how amazing these sound. These are very good headsets for the price. Again, just my opinion. The build is nice but don't expect metal all over the place. They can get darn loud and I personally think the sound is very good, especially for a headset of this price. I think if you are a Xbox gamer, those are the way to go as they sound great and are very affordable.
Turtle Beach 700 (Gen 2). I don't think these were on the list but I did own these and would like to share my person experience. These were pretty cool headsets. The sound was... wow. Very deep base and they can get pretty loud. They do have a tight fit though. I mean, TIGHT! haha! The build quality was just okay but I treat my electronics with kid gloves so it wasn't a deal breaker. However I did return them and here's why. For me (it might be different for others) I found the sound to go in and out at times. My first party Xbox headsets run like a charm on my Series X so I'm not sure what the issue was. I can say this, they do sound amazing but bear in mind the wireless functionality. Very possible it was just me.
Sorry to ramble on. Hope this helped some... at least for anyone thinking to get any of the above mentioned headsets in particular. Happy gaming!

Honestly don't recommend astro headphones. If you have an oily scalp, like lots of people do, the paint on the head band chip off and get on your scalp and cause irritation. There is also the fact that while "comfortable" for bigger heads it puts more pressure on the top of your head and headphones like the ps4 gold headphones are leagues more comfortable than them. They can also come with lose screws that can pop out usually on the head band connecting to the adjustable bar, if it isn't noticed and tightened right away the entire side of the headset could pop off and break the wires.
These headphones work for most people but some people it just is really bad for so be careful.

Right ear hit the ground from 4 feet up, and now it wiggles within the holder that grabs it on each side. Great sound before dropping them. But one drop really screwed the entire experience. On to the next brand.

I promise you A50s are definitely WORTH the purchase, you can even buy noise canceling ear pieces and take the default ones off if you want to. If you have a computer you can plug the headset in and customize your audio and update the headset! Hands down the most comfortable headset I’ve ever worn. I’ve also got the A40s but the 50s sound way better and are wireless plus you can plug a device in and play music into the headset

What's the best headset with noise cancelation

  • @Recarsonated
    @Recarsonated 2 роки тому +1

I had the astro a50’s and I personally would not recommend it.
It’s durability isn’t very great, the screws on the side are small and if they pop out, you will never find them
I don’t like to break technology through rage, but i recently moved which probably damaged it further or it may have been damaged while shipping, but looking at the way it’s constructed gives me the chills.
Also the setup required to get the best sound quality is kind of obnoxious and i have to tamper with the controls whenever i have to replug it or if it just feels like messing up the settings, also the xbox mode, after a while, started cutting out every once in a while
I think they should make something similar but last way longer.
The charging stand was the main reason I got it though, it was really convenient throughout the time I had it, and when I tampered with the sound settings, they sounded spectacular
in my opinion it did not feel great with glasses that well either but this could change honestly from person to person and depends on the glasses you wear
