I'm disappointed with Palki's take on this. Didn't expect Palki to stay neutral, she should have taken a stance which benefits the consumer. In a country where most people don't even read the ingredients or if even they do, they don't understand the harmful nature of some ingredients, it's important for a genuine and fact based advice, even if it's from some influencer. Instead she suggests that people should read the labels for themselves. We call agree that those artificial flavors and colours are no good for your kid. It's almost as if she's endorsing Bourn Vita, but considering that the company sued that influencer, no wonder she was afraid to go against them.

This video is a prime proof of Palki's hypocrisy. She goes on different podcasts and claims that as journalists we should take a stand, and here she simply sits on the fence and criticises both sides. Just a few days ago, Mondelez (parent organisation of Bournvita) agreed to reduce the high sugar levels of their product, but Palki criticises or rather belittles the entire influencer industry. Granted that most of them are not upto much good, but then neither is most of the news industry too. One of the reasons why people may reach out to influencers is because sometimes they may take a stand that global established media is afraid to. I understand that you are trying your best not to get a lawsuit from Bournvita, but that didi not stop you from making a similar stand on Palm Oil. Reels are indeed not the ideal source of discussing children's health but neither is reels an ideal source of news too, yet Firstpost launches reels everyday.

But that wasn't to be taller, stronger, faster, but simply because I loved the sugary chocolatey taste, my favorite variety being the 5 Star Bournvita at the time.. But later, as I grew older, smarter and more disciplined about what I put into my body, Bournvita was one of the first things to be thrown out of my life simply because of my instinctive realization of how unhealthy it really is.. Just a bunch of sugar and chocolate waste.. Definitely not the kind of junk one would want to put into their body for optimal health.. That decision was taken in 2010 and am proud to say till date, I have never felt the urge to go back to it.. If you really want chocolatey taste in your mouth buy a bar of chocolate and enjoy.. But don't get tricked into downing a large helping of sugar along with it.. Best if you train yourself to use only fructose for sugar and salt sparingly and your body will thank you for it in your later years.. 👍🏻

Bournvita is the reason why I am fat..... I drank so much milk ever since i was a baby. I gained so much weight when I started having it at the age of 5 years, and my weight never looked back! I didn't know what i was doing wrong. bournvita is addictive. I love it . But it the only reason why I was a fat kid as everything else i had was well monitored and my parents would let me have as much bournvita i wanted coz it meant i will be having more milk!

If talking about our own health is leading to lawsuits from the Big Food companies, then we should really question what they are trying to hide? Today, doctors are unable to treat chronic diseases and can only prescribe pill after pill leading to various side-effects. Pills do not solve diseases, lifestyle does. Most doctors are unwilling to discuss latest research on sugar, on ultra-processed foods because they feel that if they focus more on lifestyle changes, how will they maintain their high incomes which come from repeated consultations, high medical bills and hundreds of tests. It is time for the medical system to change for the betterment of its patients, not for its profits. It is a FACT that food companies today are adding very harmful ingredients and sugar is definitely one of them. It is the right of every single human being to question them, to talk freely about them, to not let their children eat that garbage in the name of "health" foods. If doctors cannot help us, cannot guide us towards a holistic approach to our health, we have resources like strong research papers available, thanks to the internet, to make changes to our lifestyle, maintain logs of our test results and feel the changes in our bodies, ourselves. It's my body, my right. It''s my digestive system, so I will decide what to eat. I have brains, I can do good, in-depth research based on RCT's, Meta Analyses and talk about the truth, even if doctors are not.

He’s raising the right message. He’s also opened the Pandora’s box as bournvita or any other health drink company like Horlicks, boost etc will be no different. They are just a bag of sugar filled with artificial colour and flavour. The Govt isn’t serious about the health of its people as it will create another problem - protests and what not.
However we must take our health seriously.
For starters - just use pepsi/ coke or any similar beverage and dip used plates, spoons vessels etc into it and then clean them. You’ll see the defence. It’s a bottle filled with water, half of which is sugar, chemicals, preservatives etc.

Hello everyone, I would really like to share this incident of my life. When I was a child of around 8-10 yrs, I would eat a lot of Bournvita as I liked its flavour and back then we didn't have milk packets but milk glass bottles, I believe milk was fresher back then and we used to get whole full fat cow milk so Bournvita's taste in that milk was even better. I got addicted, I think. Whenever I found a chance I would go to kitchen storehouse, dig it up and eat a lot of it. After a few weeks of this continuous nonsense, blood started coming out of my nose and the skin on my nose was horribly burnt. My body was in high heat. I was forbidden from eating Bournvita by the doctor and my parents, I felt very bad but I was too scared to touch it again too.
Later on, Vicco turmeric was applied on my skin thrice a day, everyday and it took 2 months to fully heal and I was given a lot of plain milk, minty lemonade etc to beat the heating in my body.
I am telling u I really liked Bournvita but I left it cuz it bled me and burnt my skin. I am kind of really happy that this news has come today, I hope no other child gets to face what I faced due to Bournvita.
For all those parents out there, protect ur kids from the products of these selfish MNCs or corporates or brands.
Another thing I was addicted to was Maggi masala which is not as intense as it used to be before getting banned but seriously that's good too.

Palki is 100% wrong here. Objectively so. I began from great admiration for her but now I see that fame has intoxicated her mindfulness, to the point she has gone from a healthy confidence to, like the Bornvita she speaks of..."unhealthy" ...pause...arROGUEance. If she can cast spells on wordplay, to change narratives, viewpoints, so can we. This requires Common sense not qualifications. She herself just said to read it yourself. He is reading it for us. I observe that sometimes Palki is on side of truth and at other times changes sides and tides. She herself comments on so many topics, health included, of which she her self has no recognised qualification which means by thw same token and yardstick, that she should stand by her own words and not talk about it as she herself has become an influencer. One need not have qualifications nor credentials to cite those who do eg students or journalists or anybody in public interest. If X has been proven medically or scientifically, whether a Doctor states it or a news anchor or a layman does not change its truth and validity. The only influencers who ought to be banned are those dishonest celebrities, eg in Bollywood, hypocrotes knowingly promoting and become brand ambassadors for unhealthy things for monry where this man did it in spite of losing money. The same public harmed by their badvertising and false endorsements go obsessively weak for the same actors who are vicariously poisoning them, their chidren, their families. So why does Palki the Braveheart not cite them and call our their clear hypocrisy over the truth of a man. Perhaps because Bollywood and Politics are so closely intertwined. I speak of Normally not Anomaly. There are more sellouts than not. If Palki can have the courage to speak truth, to call out others, she should also accept and gracefully, when it is about her and she herself is called out.
