In truck driving school they taught us to turn on a fan. The fan noise mimics our brain wave for sleeping and helps us stay in sync. Give it a try works for me. Hope it helps. Blessings to you
Agreed! Although I've always had a problem falling/ staying asleep for as long as I can remember, it has progressively gotten worse as the Year go on especially given amount of stress that accumulates as we get older. And yes I always have to sleep with a fan on in the room or something that creates a humming or white noise in the background.

It's is basically because of the blue light....It alerts the mind and makes us feel like we aren't sleepy. But in reality, that's not the case rather the opposite.
I used to sleep 8 hours at night when i was in School, Advantages that i had due to that were: - Productive Day - No need to take an Afternoon Nap - less anger and less anxiety, - less overthinking - Happy and Positive day (without Yawning..!!) after i joined College and got a smartphone i sleep around 5 hours at night that too at around 3-4 AM, effects of it are: - feeling sleepy whole day - Continuous Yawning - Anxiety and a lot of anger - Frustration - Less productivity - Always hungry - Need to take Afternoon nap (Which i think is the most shit thing to do during Day time..) - unable to sleep earlier due to late night habits.. although i don't watch Series and Movies now, nor do i use Social Media(Insta, FB, Twitter) but still i end up scrolling on phone till 3-4 AM in the night.
I am you, you are me. I used to be way more productive disciplined and attentive back in school when I used to get proper sleep. Now thanks to phone , I don't. I feel like my memory has also deteriorated

I sleep for about 4.5 hours, I'm wide awake after that and have so much energy for the entire day, even for two hours of workout. If I sleep beyond that I feel lethargic. My uncle who's a doc is about 69 years old and he sleeps for around 5 hours and he's active the entire day, workouts and he's very healthy . He told me that every human body has its own sleep pattern, and every person requires only so much amount of sleep. So make sure you eat right, do some physical activity and sleep according to what your body needs.
I have bouts of insomnia 2-5 weeks at a time. I may get 3-6 hours of sleep a week. But… I do sleep well from 4am to 9 am!! That’s when it’s the best sleep ever!!!

A great post....about a critically important topic. This along with STRESS, as they both go hand in hand with ill health! I was one of those who had thought that sleep was not that important....a waste of time....not critical. Oh! I had known the risks of too little sleep but I had thought that I was immune because....well!....because I was stupid! Perhaps my ego was boosted and based on the knowledge that I have always been genetically blessed with great health! And I was fine on 4-5 hours of sleep at night for decades.....or so I had thought! A sudden and massive health issue that is not in my family or genetic history and I have now swung 180 degrees about. I never knew about this issue and while most people are immediately aware of it....I never knew.....as it was silent. And only a routine medical exam had revealed the massive damage. I get at least 8 hours of sleep a night now....And that massive medical problem?.....I am clawing my way back to health! But the damage will always be there and I will never be the same again (but then again, who is?). But yet, I am able to do much more than most people of my age and I should live a normal lifespan.....maybe even as long as my ancestors who went around 100. I believe the thing that saved me was my otherwise healthy lifestyle. I am a vegan (No! Not one of those obnoxious ones....Everyone can eat as they wish!), I religiously exercise 3 times a week (and at least 20 of those are hard 140 - 160 beats per minute cardio), I am a relaxed and happy-go-lucky character who does not let others influence my actions! Oh! And I got rid of my wife and job as both were major sources of stress!

Agreed! Although I've always had a problem falling/ staying asleep for as long as I can remember, it has progressively gotten worse as the Year go on especially given amount of stress that accumulates as we get older. I used to sleep 8 hours at night when i was in School, Advantages that i had due to that were:
- Productive Day
- No need to take an Afternoon Nap
- less anger and less anxiety,
- less overthinking
- Happy and Positive day (without Yawning..!!)
after i joined College and got a smartphone i sleep around 5 hours at night that too at around 3-4 AM, effects of it are:
- feeling sleepy whole day
- Continuous Yawning
- Anxiety and a lot of anger
- Frustration
- Less productivity
- Always hungry
- Need to take Afternoon nap (Which i think is the most shit thing to do during Day time..)
- unable to sleep earlier due to late night habits..
although i don't watch Series and Movies now, nor do i use Social Media(Insta, FB, Twitter) but still i end up scrolling on phone till 3-4 AM in the night.

1 Sleep and Work (Hectic) are Inversely Proportional.Sleep less work will become more hectic.
2 Work (Hectic work) from Previous eqn is more then Memory will become weak (Inversely Proprtional)
3 from eqn 2 if Memory is weak then time taken to complete the work will be more again Inversely proportional.
So Sleep (down) Hectic work (up) Memory (down) time taken (up)

Thank you for your advice. At least 7hrs a night, from 8pm. 3 am for our connection with the Creator,Ameen. Secondly when we sleep our body gets rest & unknown to us it is working to repair our body constantly whilst we are asleep. Thankyou, Mehrunnisai.👍🙏
I have something like that to. I sleep usually 6/7 hours. When I sleep 8 hours or more, I also feel lethargic. So I agree with you
