That +30 whp gain Kinetix Racing posted on their site was from a 2003 350z non rev-up engine with the rev limiter raised from 6,700 to 7,100 RPM. With the stock plenum, it made 231 whp at 6,100, but lost about 30 hp from 6,200 to 7,000 rpm. With the Kinetix Velocity Intake, the Z made over 240 whp from 6,200 to 7,000 Rpm. That test was done with no other intake or exhaust upgrades to the car. The Velocity Intake is designed for horsepower gains in the higher rpm range. I have the same Intake Manifold on my 350z and I notice the gains with the Intake Manifold along with other bolt on hp mods. My Z is tuned with the rev limiter raised to 7,100 RPM. It comes down to who is tuning the 350z with that Intake.

Just so everyone here knows, this is actually proven to DECREASE power by a decent amount. It's been proven and beaten to death on every G35 and Z forum available. If you are boosted, it won't hurt. N/A cars will all lose power. Even with a tune I'm pretty sure.
I don't see anyone commenting if it made gains with a supercharger or loss they just say they heard of people and i also want to know if it is after tune or not

I know it looks beautiful on it but not worth it. I seen one I. Person and saw the welding on it
So how much? Also if the intake and the bolts are steel. Set a piece of plastic on top of the intake. Then place a huge speaker magnet on it. This should prevent the bolts from falling into the engine
I have the motordyne spacer. Now when I replace the plenum with this velocity manifold, do I have to install that bypass. Reason I ask is cause I have the copper TB adapter motordyne created. It allows antifreeze to pass through the TB only when it's cold and not when it's hot. If I'm making sense here

its highly advised to get a tune after installation. but like the comment section has been saying, this manifold is amazing with other complimentary mods and boost (either turbo or supercharged). if you're looking for a solid performance gain, stick with the stock plenum and get the motordyne plenum spacer, easy install, easy on the pocket book and dont need to tune afterwards. also you don't necessarily have to put your car on a dyno to get a tune, but if you can afford it and know a shop that specializes in the VQ motors it would be preferred
Efrain Peralez yes according to many, many people and forums i seen you probably need to be boosted and tuned to actually get hp gain if you go plenum spacer route if you have a revup engine you need a mrev2 before or else no hp gain and if you have a nonrevup you can just use the plenum with no mrev2
5mm larger tb is not worth $300 for the little gains you’re going to get from that. If it were an 85-90mm tb I’d say yes. My guess is you couldn’t tell a single difference in power from the stock 70mm to the 75mm.
