Regarding the Sonic cast. Only Oliver Wyern, the voice of Big the Cat at the time, recorded new audio for the game because Big didn't appear in many games after Sonic Heroes, and the one game where he did have voice lines, Sega decided to reuse Jon St. John's lines from Sonic Heroes. The mobile version seems to have the main version's menus and HUD with 3D elements taken from the DS version. And i LOVE the way it handles, it's so much smoother than any kart racer ever, and i have some good experience with racing games to back this statement up. I prefer this kind of drifting over Mario Kart's "transition-less drifting", your car jarringly goes from cornering to drifting and doesn't change directions unless you get off the drift button. In ASR mobile, your car transitions between cornering and drifting seamlessly, and changing directions is basically as easy as turning on the other direction for long enough. I'ts also way more controlable than anything you'd see coming from any other game. It hits that sweet spot between Mario Kart and GRID Autosport
