In many cases I paint them before I carve them

@@Hinkleshop Thank you for the info. I'll start and go through them all. Waiting for delivery of my Onefinity machine that comes with 1 year of basic Carveco. No need to buy another program until the year is up. In the meanwhile I'll learn all I can. The Brit is difficult to understand sometimes and goes a bit fast.

That’s Leighton and I’ve heard that before sometimes his accent is difficult to understand we kid him about that often I tell him I do my tutorials in English lol 😆

Vernon! Thank you for your step by step!! Very helpful and I'm writing up a OneNote of "How To.." based off what you taught us here. I like how you don't ramble on and just get to the "nitty-gritty" of what we need to know. You earned a new subscriber. Keep 'em coming!!

Thanks a lot Vernon. I had done the Carveco tutorial already but it was nice to have another example. When I followed along, I used Vernon Hinkle instead of John Smith. That way it reminds me that it's your example.
I use Mach 3 and I learned recently that there is a special post-processor if you want the machine to stop between tool changes. There's a post-processor called "Mach3.4-Arcs(inch)ATP" that puts the commands in to handle an automatic tool changer. You don't need the tool changer, but the machine still stops and waits for the change. Just thought I'd add that in there for other Mach 3 users that weren't aware of this feature. BTW, the tools need to have different numbers for this to work, so don't forget to set them up, like you've done in your video.

Great tutorial. Every time I copy/paste upper name works fine until I tool path lower combined area. Always says two vectors overlap. Sure enough when you have both bulbs lit to see overlap yup there they are. How in tf does that happen when the only thing you did was copy then paste directly over what you copied?

      Thank you
The most basic way is to click on the text copy and paste it delete the original text then click the transform tool and move the text which is now an image not text so it overlaps then use the clip tool to remove the unwanted parts
      Hope this helps
