Hi Leighton - just wanted to say that your videos are spectacular. Thanks so much for making them. It's made learning CARVECO so much easier.

Hi Leighton, I've seen other people doing V carve inlays and getting incredible detail and sharp internal corners using a 20° V bit. ( Optionally an extra clear out cut with a round 1/8" ) The sharp pocket corner would be shallower and the insert would be equally as shallow

You are correct John. This Inlay type was made more for the sign making type industry and will round the corners which defeats the object of using a v-bit. Leighton is currently working on a tutorial for creating inlays using v-bits.

Why do I get, Tool is too large error when trying to use inlay tool? Profile tool has no issue, only when using Inlay.

Hi Chris, it is when you have two corners that are close to each other. The inlay toolpath rounds the corner by the radius of the tool. If they are close, it cant create the radius on each corner without overlapping, meaning the inlay wouldn't be correct and wouldn't fit which gives this error.

As much as I appreciate the tutorials, much of the information is repeated from previous videos. Instead of repeating the same directions with every video, it would be awesome to direct people to previous tutorials instead of repeating the same thing over and over.... no one should be attempting inlay work if they haven't learned to start the toolpath at the bottom of a pocket :)

Thanks for the input Matt. That will be the case in the future but this video was created before a lot of other video's explaining the things you mention so it had to be explained within this video.
