This is a healthy engine right there. Nice TQ curve with linear HP all the way to redline, smooth vtec transition and no weird dip either (drop in power)..nice. I’m also on the fence to change my port-match RBC for a RRC , seem like the power drop later on those. Gj
You using the black new platinum pro or silver one? Haven’t had time to plug mine in but what dash functionality did you have out the box with the oem dash and haltech standalone? You have to do anything for a coolant signal?
how does the DTR hold up against the alpha header? Any signifigant difference in the curves / any difference in fitment (as far as the alpha header's notorious fitment issues)?
I've raced against a few other RSX that runs Skunk2 headers, and I've done well against it. I did provide both my dynograph at 206whp and 222whp, so if you're familiar with looking at dynographs, you can try to compare to the skunk2 header. I didn't go with Skunk2 because I didnt want fitment issues. DTR header was perfect fitment and cleared stock sway bar perfectly and I'm sure his header is also effective as well.
Compared to when I was 206, I honestly only feel the difference up top with the retune lol. I still have the midrange I used to with now better top end.
@@1MADZi do have the midrange hit and also low end on this car. I can run others at pretty much any rpm. It does well, good powerband. I just cant feel the difference in tune at the low/mid compare to top. I guess I was expecting a rocket hit (beyond expectation lol) buttdyno didnt feel that way.
I guess that depends on what you are aiming for. Enkei RPF1s I have on are light and budget friendly, also pretty tough also. I have a set of custom coilovers that I haven't installed but supposedly a bit better than BCs, but initially I was going to pull the trigger and get FortuneAutos.
Hi how big is intake pipe 2 inch or 3inch. How big is exhaust system 2.5 inch piping. I bought a k20z1 for del sol as an upgrade over my poormans 199hp B18c type R with skunk2 pro cams gears, stage 2 skunk2 camshaft, full Greddy exhaust, upgraded AEM fuel rail, injectors, walbro fuel pump, hondata. My friends telling me k20z1 ain't A upgrade over my B18C. I jus bought a discontinued K-tuned centerfeed manifold on Facebook market place for my k20z1, i wanted 2 bolt on plm headers, k-tuned manifold.
If you were to say stock JDM B18C vs Stock K20Z1 then yeah, the B18C in stock form is probably a little better, but when it comes to simple Bolt-Ons on the K20s with tune, they just do so well. Kseries flow better than the Bseries and the Ks respond well to mods. My intake manifold is 64mm, while my exhaust is 2.75". My specs are in the description.
@@iVietTEC.k20z1I heard k20s make more hp with 90mm intake & throttle body & 3 inch exhaust. My B18C is a poormans type R with a 1990 B16 head & 1996 B18C bottom end, its not real JDM B18C type R. So your saying a k20z1 with 2 bolt ons ain't a upgrade over poormans type r which is a 1990 B16 head with a 1996 B18C bottom end with all that work to only make 199hp.
@@MiSCHiEF_BassMusic Sorry I missed you said poormans, I was under the impression you had B18C TypeR and comparing stock to stock. K20z1 with 2 boltons like i have done (Header and 2.75" Exhaust) yielded 206whp, and was definitely quick on the street. K20s with bigger TB and 3" exhaust will make more power, but to be realistic, how is the powerband? You may lose here, and gain there, its all numbers and is "peak". I believe around 4800 and yes its smoother when tuned compared to stock. The switch was smooth also on my original 206whp tune. I never could tell when VTEC was engaging, it seems to pull even at 4k rpm.
Nice flush fitment
Thank you.
In a mustang dyno!!! those are some good numbers, that’s probably like 240 on a dyno jet.
Its calibrated to match dynojet. I just re-dyno on Dynojet and made 220whp.
Still good numbers, with a ported Rbc and bigger throttle body with bigger inyectors depend on the tuner 240hp, with cams even better like 260hp.

Impressive gains from stock baseline to FBO with RRC manifold! Awesome, keep the VTEC kicking in bro.
Wow. 50hp gain compared to stock is awesome
Sweet looking ride. That's how it's meant to look.

Black one. It works like factory. Everything works including the coolant gauge. I have an IC7 dash hooked up as well but doesnt replace my cluster.
Was it necessary to edit something for swap RRC intake manifold?
Does A/C and coolant gauge and check engine light work with the haltech? I want to put one in my 06 but am hesitant.
Yes everything works like factory on the “Platinum Pro”, the Elite does not from what I know, but im sure you can wire up AC to work.
