    It says a lot about you that you elected to fix that mistake even though you didn’t know the child it was going to ❤. I’ve seen more than a few comments in other places where the maker didn’t want to bother because “no one will notice or care”. Thank you for caring and for your tutorials…I appreciate you!!!

    It was nice to see you made the whole quilt not just the quilt top.

    Beautiful nob!!🙏🐦i commend what you did by painfully ripping it out and doing it right ,⭐⭐⭐😍

    I admire you for ripping it all out after it was quilted and bound. I don't think I would have had the heart to rip all that out. I couldn't have left it either. I probably would have appliqued something over it. Good job! It turned out really pretty.

      Thanks Janice! I argued with myself, but ultimately glad I did it! And like I said, the zig zag quilting is super easy to rip out. Have a great day! ☀️

      I think this would make a great scrappy quilt if you make up you own “cake” out of your scraps!

    Had not thought to use zig zag as a quilting stich. Spoting a mistake and then having to fix the mistake is so dis heartening,. I have done this a few times, one I left because the re - sews of the others did not feel right. Glad yours turned out well.

    Beautiful quilt! I'll bet your machine has an adjustment to raise the presser foot slightly (or lower the pressure on the presser foot) when you quilt through many layers. It will aid your walking foot when you quilt.

    Voilà une bien jolie courtepointe exécutée d’une main de maître ! Merci professeur pour cette belle leçon, le thème du tissu est très chouette. Bravo pour votre courage à 😱découdre et recoudre afin de corriger « l’erreur » ! Régine 🇫🇷👍

      Merci, Régine. ☀️J'aime aussi le thème de l'école 🎓 pour une couverture enfant. Je suis content d'avoir corrigé l'erreur, même si cela a ajouté une heure. OUF.💛

    Now discovered when I watched a little bit more of your video that you did mention the size of the blocks. Thank you but you didn't mention how many blocks in a pack. Which I feel like would help LOL I told you I was a beginner.😅

    • @sunbeamfabricart
      @sunbeamfabricart  8 місяців тому +2

      Ah, no problem. Layer cakes are 10" squares and normally a package will have 42 squares. I like to find them on sale!

    There is an embroidery stitch in a wave form that makes an even better choice for the quilting. You can lengthen and alter the width of the curve on the wave as you wish and use it exactly the same as a zig zag stitch.

    • @sunbeamfabricart
      @sunbeamfabricart  6 місяців тому +2

      It's all personal preference, of course! I have used that stitch to quilt before.
      I change it up a lot. Enjoy! ☀️

      You’re welcome, Patricia! Thanks for watching! The total measurement on this quilt is about 58" x 58". Have a great day!

      It is BEAUTIFUL, right? If you do a google search for "School Is Cool Nancy Mink For Wilmington" you should be able to find some still available for purchase. I got mine on a closeout a couple of years ago.☀️☀️☀️

    Of somewhat a beginner with these new terms, exactly what is a layer cake? what block or where planning on sewing? I would like to see the block before I begin, so I'm not working in the dark here. Now I realize that a stack of fabric is called layer cake what are the measurements?...ty

  • @fayee8986
    @fayee8986 8 місяців тому +2

    Oh it's me again I watched a little further down the video and you did make mention how many blocks you had. Would nicer if this information would have been at the beginning. Did you mention or show what block we're supposed to be creating ? 🥴.... I realize I'm not as patient as I should be.

    Okay I understand now the reason that you didn't show the block that we were doing because that is a block that we were doing okay....🤐
