Its likely unsafe or safe but low reward. Also its hard to say because if Leo's install moves are natural, I think* they are; Leo's Ki-Charge strings b+3,1,2 and d/b+4,1,2 (now d/b+4,1,1+2) always counter hitted but I wanna say that they are most likely going to be natural combos in T8.

I'm really stunned, that they used Philipp Zieschang for Leo... A German voice actor, that I haven't heard since a long time in any video game. But also glad, he has such an iconic voice and still sounds exactly like back then he did in Games like Inazuma Eleven as Mark, or Crow in Professor Layton.

The triple shoulder ender isn’t with the ki charge / starburst buff they made it a just frame in 7 iirc and gives it the blue sparks the ki charge moves Leo had were db412 and b312.
9:19 correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that might be the first While Standing Heat Engager we've seen in trailers. Maybe it's been a while since I've checked the old trailers, but that's a REALLY good touch.😊
As a German, i feel like the Leo voice acting is really off. Unlucky. Edit: Some of the expressions used feel like someone didnt check if that's a natural expression to say in German and just translated generic English fighting game expressions.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm almost certain that Leo's df+2 still launches crouch. Safe df+2 (eg Asuka) don't launch moves that end in crouch, and im pretty sure Jin's move ends in crouch. I havent played tekken 8 tho, just going with what I know in 7.
If im not mistaken the reason df2 isnt launch duck it is because a bug (ayorichie,2022) , usually df2 is safe but its not launched duck and vice versa but leo isnt safe but cant launch duck until they fix it

The range was good enough that it being -13 kinda made sense, but that it couldn't launch crouch made it kinda confusing to me as to whether it was intentional or not. Although personally I prefer the unsafe ones that launch crouch (I tried to whiff punish so much stuff with df+2 before and it did not work because they were in a crouching state).

Not sure what pronouns to use, because usually you ask the person but we can't ask a videogame character. Would love if Leo were actually a trans woman because I'm one too and it would feel awesome to me to have someone like me in the game ^.^ Also, on Tekken Tag 2 Leo had both feminine and masculine bathing suits.

I imagine something like a mix between lee and Katharina, someone like Dr. Strangelove from Metal gear solid comes to my mind.

Leo is short for Eleonore and she is trying to act like a dude because she wants to be taken seriously in the Iron Fist Tournement. That's it, nothing more.

I was kind of hoping we'd be getting more new music tracks in each trailer. It kind of feels like they had these trailers ready to go but just never got around to releasing them in time.
Many characters are getting that stance mixup off i10 punishes. it's definitely deliberate. the message is "doing an unsafe move is *very* bad for you" Not sure how much I like that.

Df+2 still launching from crouch (yes, because before that buff it couldn't launch opponents recovering from crouch). The counter hit low pokes still being +14 on CH. WS4, 1+2 still being in the game and being a heat engager. f+2 (super long range move) kick extension + crouch dash cancel for even more ridiculous never ending full screen combos. New extension off b+1 during heat that definitely is there to demolish people who are used to react to it with an evasive move. Forcing you to respect the b+1 pressure. Half of the move list leading to stance mix ups. D+2 being a quick plus on block counter hit launcher that also forces crouch on block? Suck my cucumber, Murray. I'm plugging away from all Leo players online in the first two years of this game.
New Leo voice is so out of place, previous was more aggressive and committed to the moves, new one sounds soft and more childish, rage art is straight up garbage, even t7 was better. I guess more personality not always = good.
