He was godlike even in early T7. He was winning so much that there was a tourney where the trophy was already marked with his name and then he lost unexpectedly and it was a really awkward moment for the winner to lift up the trophy lol. I can't remember which tourney it was, I also remember Knee losing to JDCR most of the time then and people were saying he can't beat JDCR anymore.

It’s official: canonically, Heihachi is the strongest character in the Tekken universe because he doesn’t have the devil gene and yet due to his martial arts abilities is still able to compete with Kazuya and Jin.

The only things holding Pakistani players back were the visa issues and the lack of awareness about these tournaments as such, otherwise, they would have dominated international Tekken then as well. But that being said, this shouldn't take away the fact that KNEE is any less of a legend; he achieved a lot and definitely played a vital role in inspiring many current Tekken champions (including Arslan and Atif).

ASH might be the greatest talent the FGC ever produced when he is finished. To put things in perspective, Atif Butt crushed everyone at EVO, and lost to ASH.

Every final was like JDCR vs Saint.
