      Question for you...
      When I exercise i have foamy urine. If i take a few days off it clears up. Tests at doctors office show no protein in my urine though. Am I good to go or should I still be concerned that something else might be going on with my kidneys? Thanks

      @111... 8 місяців тому

      @@karencski711 have you had an extensive workup by a truly good physician, one you've explained this to? There could be several reasons & most drs don't seem go know what all the tests are that should be done to make sure & check for. I highly recommend Osteopathic doctors, personally (look for the D.O. initials after their name).
      I can think of many things that may be the cause, but w/o knowing your age/medical issues/lifestyle habits/etc., all *I* can think of is maybe the exercise itself: i.e., too much too soon, environment, oh & WHAT & HOW you exercise.
      May be simply the wrong approach/type of exercise/doing too much/something not right for YOUR body/YOUR unique makeup..it actually could be psychological even (yes- SO possible)
      I know I would investigate, bcuz you may have an underlying medical issue... or going about things incorrectly. Hope something I wrote helps; I'm willing to help figure it out, so feel free to ask 💙

    5 - 6 months ago, I started watching Dr Ekberg's videos. I was 104 kg. And I was eating all the unhealthy food he has been talking about. I started to eat healthy food, I have been doing fasting (I ate food between 1 pm to 8pm) and quit drinking alcohol for 3 months (now I drink once or twice a week and limit my self with 2 glasses of whisky or something similar) and this morning I was 89,7 kg (90 was may target). This is AMAZING! I ate great food, did a little exercise and now I feel 5 years younger then 5 months ago and look much more better. I live in the Netherlands, newer met the Dr and have no beneficial relationship with him. I advice you to watch all his videos to learn about human metabolism and also learn how you can eat high quality food and become very healthy without any medicine or supportive products.

Started by vigorous walking and now have lost 13kg (almost 30 pounds for our American friends). Now my cardio has improved so significantly - walking is no longer pushing my body so I have just started HIIT on the treadmill. Do I feel, better? This is true. I've been exercising 4 to 5 times a week for an hour for the last 12 years when I turned 50 because I started to notice weight gain. Didnt change my diet which wasn't horrible but included potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Every year gained approximately 3 lbs. Fast-forward to Jan 1st, 2024. I gained 30 lbs over 12 years. I was never overweight my entire life and very active generally but now 2 lbs above my healthy weight category. Exercise probably helped me not gain 60 lbs but it never helped me lose weight. Jan 1st started Keto, intermittent fasting, cut out alcohol, took ACV/lemon juice, a few extended fasts (72, 36, 48hr) and today I'm down 25 lbs wth 5 more to reach my 48 yr old weight goal. All body inflammation gone, mental clarity unbelievable and energy excess! I wouldnt have believed it was possible. Thanks Doc!!!

    Nice video. At 73 I exercise everyday. You forgot to mention 'balance' & 'coordination.' Going to the gym has increased my weight as my muscle mass is increasing. Muscle is much heavier than fat. Weight loss is best done by keto.

    The things we do today are the gifts we give our future self. This video ties well into reading. Why read? It's not so much about what your learning as it is about the byproduct. New information combines with what you have. It stirs new ideas and gives ultimately a sense of hope. It opens new doors and makes new things possible. It can be an end to hopelessness for all who let it.

    I started IF and exercising two months ago to get ready for my husband’s Honor Flight next month. He has cancer and the thought of pushing a wheelchair around the sites of DC was daunting. If he’s going to have the best experience, I (56y/o and 4’11”) need to be able to physically make that happen for him (78y/o 178lbs) I feel sooo much better, so much stronger than I did two months ago. Plus I dropped my belly fat ! I went from 107lbs to 101!! 🎉

      Try to find and become comfortable with a very high quality wheelchair. One that is comfortable, light weight, space grade lubricated bearings, inflated large rear tires, etc. Walk backwards with the chair through doors and down ramps, and through busy crowds. D.C. is pretty flat. Use cabs for the long treks across the mall or to Arlington. Love DC. Enjoy.

    Well said Dr. Exercising plays a role in losing weight, but the biggest player in weight loss, from my personal experience, is DIET! Eating wholefoods and restrictive eating habits. I lost 18 lbs just by cutting out rice, flour and sugar and I was not a big sugar eater!

    There will always be poisonous creatures who mistakenly were given a mouth. Fortunately, we do not have to listen to them. Thank you, Dr. Ekberg, for all of the good information you have provided. I am particularly thankful for information about how the body works, the pathophysiology and chemistry involved. Although I studied anatomy as an artist, and minimal physiology as a nurse, I know nothing about the chemical pathways. I don't know the relationship between what we eat and the consequences of moving around or just sitting all day (other than swollen legs from sitting!). Your information and the way you explain everything makes understanding them easy. Please continue! You give people hope they can improve their lives themselves!

It’s already halfway into autumn but the leaves aren’t changing colour and it’s still extremely hot. It’s global warming I’m sure. But when it’s summer again my challenge will be to look nice in my bikini I bought a few months ago. I bought it at Sissy boy, I love their things. It’s black and studded everywhere with black rhinestones. Absolutely beautiful.

    I’ve tried every day for stretches and it always backfires on me- what works best for me, in my fifties, is three times per week. I need to push myself fairly hard to get results, then the next day is a recovery day- pushing hard two days in a row backfires, then having one time per week with two days in a row off gets a really full recovery- three workouts where I push myself hard gives much better results than seven workouts that are lighter, at least for me.

    • @elizabethwhite1068
      @elizabethwhite1068 9 місяців тому

      I understand what you're struggling with, I have severe low back injuries that suck the energy right out of me. If you haven't already tried this, start with changing your diet to a real food, low carb/high fat keto or carnivore lifestyle. It can do a lot to heal or improve many things. Putting the entire nation onto the Food Pyramid" was the worst thing they could have done to us. There was zero evidence for it, and there is still zero evidence. The evidence, in fact, has shown that right at that time in history, 1980, multiple serious health epidemics took off like rockets, all related to metabolic disease. A high carb, high processed foods, low fat, high seed oils diet is exactly the right thing to advise if you want a sick population. I'm not promising a magic cure for everything, but it is the best thing you can do for your body to heal more than you think possible. In the meantime, just try to move a little bit more during the day, like just stretching more, or if you pick up something a little heavy do it 3 times instead of the once. Try to speed walk for a few seconds (seriously, just a few seconds can make a difference) as you are moving through the house. Do arm raises while laying down, with light weights if you can, like cans of soup. Anything that moves, stretches and challenges the muscles helps. Resistance training to build muscle is far more important than 30 minutes of aerobics, so let that knowledge quiet the lecturing from your brain. I wish you well.

      It's counterintuitive but when you're tired the best way to get energy is to exercise. When you exercise your blood sugar goes up and movement will strengthen your joints, bones, heart, lungs, circulation and mental health.
