You can install an 8TB SSD just as long as you have a free M.2 slot

This is ddr5. So technically you can do 96gb with 48gb dimm sodimm.

there is a connector strip under the 2nd ssd slot space. will it not damaged by 🔥 hot gen4 nvme?
I looked at another laptop, and it had a similar connector under the second slot, so you should be good there. :)

@@DarkMatter-br6zb As far as I know, you can't upgrade the gpu. Maybe on the motherboard manufacturer's website? I've never replaced a laptop gpu. Not worth it.

Opening it is already a waranty void
It’s illegal for them to void your warranty for it being open. They will not warranty aftermarket parts or parts noticeably damaged due to being open though.
i think it depends by the country too, im not 100% sure but in italy if you remove the warranty sigils you lose the warranty.
Also i bought it and installed a new ssd, no sigil found in the way

@@abdulrahmanibrahim8340 Never got an answer, but the wifi card in the laptop was bad, so I returned it for a similar HP Victus that was $50 cheaper. It only has one m.2 slot. I put a 1tb ssd that I had in it already, but going to replace it with a 2TB 980 Pro when it hopefully goes more on sale on Black Friday.

here is what i did
you are supplied a 500GB M.2 NVMe by default (Short Format)
I setup a MULTI-BOOT SYSTEM ,
2TB M.2 Partitioned as follows..
Win 11, ------------------- 500GB
Zorin Linux, ------------- 500GB
Parrot Security OS, - 500GB
Black Arch Linux. ---- 500GB
Because i needed 4 Partitions I WAS FORCED TO BUY A LARGER DRIVE. (you may not need to)
I Removed the SHORT 500GB and put it in M.2 SLOT 2
and i put the new 2T M.2 LONG in M.2 SLOT 1
in slot 1 for the long one you will have a screw
in slot 2
FOR THE LONG ONE You have a screw
FOR THE SHORT ONE, YOU DO NOT HAVE A SCREW HOLE
but... You do this...
Remove that Black Plastic sticker
Insert the Drive
Put the sticker low on the drive and stick it to the metal can nearby, or.. You can just get some tape or something to hold it down.
Figure something out. shouldn't be hard

if you mean the screws on the bottom for the plastic housing
NO THEY ARE NOT THE SAME SIZE
you need to pay attention to which you got from where
BUT...
it does seem that the screws on 1 side are the same as the screws on the other side
i think there are 4short on one side and 4 long on the other
then... You need to remove the back part, that also has 3 screws that are different again
from that point, it's just a matter of prying up the clips
it's not hard to do
@@martinkuliza lol Ive opened mine ytd. There are 4 screws that are shorter than the rest, yea. It came out quite easily with a pry tool, but just too bad that the Ssd's screw was too damn tight

the trick is...
PRESS HARD
TURN SLOWLY
With these cheap screws, if you don't press a bit harder you risk stripping the head
Just get a small screw driver
press a bit harder
TURN SLOWLY
if it doesn't go
Do a QUICK Micro turn
by that i mean....
do a apprx 1-2mm turn
Pressing Hard
Turning Quick
to break the seal it has created
after that it should be easy

hey got that laptop for my brother i saw people were doing tests on hybrid mode so it switches automaticly for game? or i should leave on dgpu mode always ? im confused
Dgpu mode will consume a lot of battery, might halve your battery life. Hybrid would be best since it turns the dGPU on when plugged into power, and otherwise uses the igpu.
Mine has horizontal lines going across the screen, is there a way to fix it?

A Question like that suggests that you probably shouldn't.
You see if you don't understand batteries (which you clearly don't) why risk stuffing up your laptop ?
so it goes like this
1. As long as the connect is the same........ IT DOESN'T MATTER
HOWEVER.....................
2. You need to Match and NOT EXCEED the rated voltage of the laptop, So.. the new battery needs to have THE SAME VOLTAGE.
if you exceed the voltage you'll blow the capacitors in your laptop, which means..........NEW LAPTOP
HOWEVER....................
3. You need to consider the current rating of the battery and at least Match it, but don't over exceed it by too much.
and then you'll be ok
HOWEVER.................. You can still stuff your laptop
4. You'll notice on the connector there are 4 Red Wires, this means 4 SEPARATE BATTERY CELLS Exit and that means ..Likely there is a PCB controlling the cells,
as is obvious by those grey and yellow 4 wires
So you need to ensure that the same battery configuration is preserved
BUT IF YOU GET ALL THAT RIGHT
YEAH, YOU CAN TOTALLY UPGRADE THE BATTERY
but do you see how many "HOWEVER"'s there are ?
As you can see....if you don't understand batteries, you shouldn't do this.
and if you did, you wouldn't be asking this question
My suggestion. Leave it alone!

in the video there is free space in the battery compartment but it is blocked by a plastic protrusion.
as Lenovo has other 90-80 whr battery, if we could fit something like that. removing the plastic or if the company has some other custom battery available in other countries.
the replacement may follow official guidelines or may be some backyard customisation is needed. As companies tend to restrict users from upgrading or improving the hardware they own.

M.2 is a type of form of ssd and 2280 is the length and width you can basically try to measure and see whatever fits one slot it a 2242 slot and the other fits a 2280 (the extra slot thats not used)

You can add M.2 NVME drives in 2 slots
the one in the video is M.2 (1) PRIMARY SLOT
on the other side of the board there is M.2 (2) SECONDARY SLOT
You can insert SSD's into these of any size up to 18 ExaBytes (needless to say , WHATEVER SIZE YOU WANT)
You can insert M.2 NVMe's in both slots
i can confirm that it works as i've done it

THEN... YOU NEED TO REMOVE THAT BACK COVER (the blue and black one)
there are another 3 screws
when you get those off
then you can GENTLY pry the plastic cover up,

You can upgrade to any capacity that you want as long as the one you buy fits M.2 , You can buy the Long or short one,
I suggest the long one as there are screw holes for it

That's Exactly what i did
So
1. There are 2 M.2 SLots
2. You can see the second one in the video
LOOK AT THE LEFT FAN
LOOK AT THE BLACK STICKER WITH THE BLUE TAB
You can just lift up the Black sticker
You need to remove VERY CAREFULLY,
the blue tab to release the Flat Flex Cable
WITH YOUR FINGERNAIL
LIFT THE BLACK TAB...... UPWARDS
then
Remove the black plastic tab
Now...
if you are inserting a SHORT SSD,
then you'll need to use this sticky plastic to stick down the SSD
put part of it on the SSD and the other part on the WiFi card next to it.
it'll hold it down fine
IF IT'S A LONG SSD
then THERE IS A SCREW HOLE THERE
My Advice...
Use the 500GB Supplied, for the operating system
and use your 2TB as your secondary drive.
but, You can go the other way if you like
and if it's 2TB, You can stick to NTFS Partitions
But above 3TB You need to use
GPT GUID Partition

ddr5 ram. mhz will be the same as the original. (loq comes with 4800, 5200, 5600 config)
Max is 96gb, if you have 350$ to spend on ram you should not buy loq line of laptops

6 hrs NOWAYYYYY !!! ... i bench marked my laptop and even in quite mode. it only went for like about 2hrs and 40 mins. 6hrs impossible !!!!
i agree 6 hours is rubbish Unless you activate all the power saving options and screen brightness really low
I got 4 hours out of mine.
All Power saving crap is off
and laptop is set to NEVER sleep
Brightness is 90%
These do nottttttt last 6 hours though. LOQ would be 10/10 if they had minimum 80mwh battery. The 60 lasts around 2 hours from experience
