also use conservation mode from vantage... don't keep the battery @100 if you are using it on charger & you know that you are going to use it for longer period.... my 2021 ideapad gaming 3 still has 94% battery health.. i started using conservation mode after 6 months of purchase.. its very helpful as I'm all time plugged in because i use 3d softwares and use external 2k monitor... so plugged in and battery automatically stays between 60-65

So, when you are using the laptop for longer period, you can use it while plugged in.. basically it is not using your battery anymore, as it's like running off your charger.. and the battery stays at around 60%.. Like this you don't have to charge your battery again & again when you ee are using it for longer periods, also it's not letting the battery go to 100% as keeping thr battery at 100% is also not good .. this way the battery health remains very good as the battery is not doing the charging - discharging cycle... Also, plugged in laptop gives the best performance.. mostly noticable when gaming or when doing heavy tasks... Let me give you some idea, if you remove the charger and just stay in idle state, check the battery drain from Hwinfo64, it'll be like total 25-35W... so entire system is drawing 35W from the battery.

Motherboard dying is not related to adapter. It's related to Intel/Lenovo. 13th and 14th gen are highly susceptible to this. Rewarding power adapter - the laptop requests power from the power adapter as per it's needs. Not the other way round. This is common sense.

Nice to know. I got just last week a Loq 15ARP9 and also drains the battery but only very little. Only concern its the battery losing capacity for being charging basically always. Also within 5 days of getting the laptop I changed the lcd panel since the original was awful to me, so I got a better one with more brightness and better response times. Onyl issue its that although the new panel its gsync the laptop does not recognise that :( Seems like its a bios or driver issue but there is no info whatsoever on internet although some people has also had that problem of losing gsync when changing the lcd panel. Then you can use a thicker 250/- cable if you wish.. the reason I use that 50/- cable because I have the same cable with a 400W electric kettle which works fine for years now. You can also ask electrician to wire a larger 16 amp socket so that you can plug the big OEM 16amp plug in.

What are you doing on your laptop? Are you gaming on battery power? If so then it's expected. Otherwise I get just around 3 hrs of battery life doing casual tasks at 60Hz battery saver.

Hello bro, Its me again I just called the premium care support they told me to install an app through which they did an inspection on my laptop and said the battery is just fine and told me drain the battery in bios mode and recharge from 0. Said this should fix the battery drain and they refused to provide me the 230 watt adaptor and also told me to contact if the battery drain is still there or not

The customer service executive told me to enable battery drop protection from the bios and disable GPU overclocking that seems to have worked but i feel that is probably going to affect the performance output. What should i do?
On the latest BIOS v34 it won't drop the performance but older BIOS will lock GPU to around 30W and reduce performance heavily. You can disable it any time you wish. What you should do? Your wish - stay with 170W adapter or get bigger adapter after complaint.

@@vaibhavtyagi2954On Latest BIOS v34, it doesn't drop performance at all. I did all testing before ordering the adapter. The options under battery drop protection are "Auto" or "Disabled". Both don't drop performance.

12450HX 4060. The GPU upgrade is more worth than the CPU upgrade in this case. The extra 2 GB VRAM is really worth it, meanwhile the performance jump from the 12450HX to the 13450HX is not that significant. Also the lower risk of the 12th Gen LOQ compared to the 13th Gen is icing on the cake.

Not in games but the general refresh rate of the monitor when I connect it with my laptop through HDMI cable. My laptop display screen 1 is 144hz but the external monitor screen 2 is only giving an output of 120hz.

@@som8072 they will not reply bro , there's an option for preparing a call , fill the info and the ticket number, and then they will immediately call you , then tell them your problem and they will download some softwares on your pc and check some reports and after that , they'll provide you the charger And if they ask for the proof - just keep a screen recording (15-30 minutes of gameplay)of the percentage of battery before playing and then after 20-30 minutes of gameplay, show the battery percentage then

@@sohamshewale08 Yes it is resolved! I called the premium service after few days and that agent transferred my call to normal service agent. After sending 15+ photos of the charger in every possible angle with a screen recording proof of the battery drain issuse and so many hours in call(Not as easy as the youtuber mentioned it in the video), they accepted my claim and sent me the 230w charger. My suggestion is better upgrade the warranty to the premium care service(I didn't) for 600rs+ so you don't have to worry that much and another thing is don't even try the whatsapp chat support; they just tell you to go to bios and enable an option(Which reduces the gpu and cpu overall wattage so the charger can charge the laptop freely) I mean why would you buy a gaming laptop worth over 80k(I bought the laptop for 58k with exchange and card offer) and reduce the tdp just because the inbox charger couldn't keep up with the cpu and gpu wattage. IMPORTANT:- Stay calm during the process(Even if you know what they are saying is bull shit) so they will be kind and help you else they will just reject your claim and flag it false. Hope this helps!

Motherboard dying is not related to adapter. It's related to Intel/Lenovo.
13th and 14th gen are highly susceptible to this.
Rewarding power adapter - the laptop requests power from the power adapter as per it's needs. Not the other way round. This is common sense.

Nice to know. I got just last week a Loq 15ARP9 and also drains the battery but only very little. Only concern its the battery losing capacity for being charging basically always. Also within 5 days of getting the laptop I changed the lcd panel since the original was awful to me, so I got a better one with more brightness and better response times. Onyl issue its that although the new panel its gsync the laptop does not recognise that :(
Seems like its a bios or driver issue but there is no info whatsoever on internet although some people has also had that problem of losing gsync when changing the lcd panel. If anyone knows a way to fix it please let me know

Then you can use a thicker 250/- cable if you wish.. the reason I use that 50/- cable because I have the same cable with a 400W electric kettle which works fine for years now. You can also ask electrician to wire a larger 16 amp socket so that you can plug the big OEM 16amp plug in.

What are you doing on your laptop? Are you gaming on battery power? If so then it's expected.
Otherwise I get just around 3 hrs of battery life doing casual tasks at 60Hz battery saver.

I just called the premium care support they told me to install an app through which they did an inspection on my laptop and said the battery is just fine and told me drain the battery in bios mode and recharge from 0. Said this should fix the battery drain and they refused to provide me the 230 watt adaptor and also told me to contact if the battery drain is still there or not
So do as they say.. call them if it doesn't work.

The customer service executive told me to enable battery drop protection from the bios and disable GPU overclocking that seems to have worked but i feel that is probably going to affect the performance output. What should i do?
On the latest BIOS v34 it won't drop the performance but older BIOS will lock GPU to around 30W and reduce performance heavily. You can disable it any time you wish.
What you should do? Your wish - stay with 170W adapter or get bigger adapter after complaint.

@@vaibhavtyagi2954On Latest BIOS v34, it doesn't drop performance at all. I did all testing before ordering the adapter. The options under battery drop protection are "Auto" or "Disabled". Both don't drop performance.

Bro should i buy LOQ i5 12450hx rtx 4060 8gb or lOQ i5 13450hx 4050 6gb. I am both getting at around 85k, which should i buy..
12450HX 4060. The GPU upgrade is more worth than the CPU upgrade in this case. The extra 2 GB VRAM is really worth it, meanwhile the performance jump from the 12450HX to the 13450HX is not that significant. Also the lower risk of the 12th Gen LOQ compared to the 13th Gen is icing on the cake.
Basic rule: Future proof the GPU as GPUs last much lesser than CPUs. 12450HX will last 10 years, while 4050 is already outdated.

Not in games but the general refresh rate of the monitor when I connect it with my laptop through HDMI cable. My laptop display screen 1 is 144hz but the external monitor screen 2 is only giving an output of 120hz.

@@som8072 they will not reply bro , there's an option for preparing a call , fill the info and the ticket number, and then they will immediately call you , then tell them your problem and they will download some softwares on your pc and check some reports and after that , they'll provide you the charger
And if they ask for the proof - just keep a screen recording (15-30 minutes of gameplay)of the percentage of battery before playing and then after 20-30 minutes of gameplay, show the battery percentage then

Bro are you aware of loq motherboard dead issue on Intel hx models so wait or buy ryzen model

@@sohamshewale08 Yes it is resolved! I called the premium service after few days and that agent transferred my call to normal service agent. After sending 15+ photos of the charger in every possible angle with a screen recording proof of the battery drain issuse and so many hours in call(Not as easy as the youtuber mentioned it in the video), they accepted my claim and sent me the 230w charger. My suggestion is better upgrade the warranty to the premium care service(I didn't) for 600rs+ so you don't have to worry that much and another thing is don't even try the whatsapp chat support; they just tell you to go to bios and enable an option(Which reduces the gpu and cpu overall wattage so the charger can charge the laptop freely) I mean why would you buy a gaming laptop worth over 80k(I bought the laptop for 58k with exchange and card offer) and reduce the tdp just because the inbox charger couldn't keep up with the cpu and gpu wattage. IMPORTANT:- Stay calm during the process(Even if you know what they are saying is bull shit) so they will be kind and help you else they will just reject your claim and flag it false. Hope this helps!
