My first polossi (gs piston not malossi ) was cast iron. I took it to Italy in peak summer two up with luggage around mountains in the heat and it was great. I ran it with a standard exhaust as only the noisy sito plus was available back then and it was 👍
Hello! Thank you for the video! Do you have some dyno graph? Also... Would you recommend this kit nowadays as a cheap way to upgrade a 200cc engine, or there are better alternatives? Thank you!
if u have time. wait for vmc213 end of year. in general as its 80ies port layout. its (no matter off alloy or cast) alway below sport210. all pnp possible. vmc213 is over sport 210 performance
Hello FMP, I'm about to put that cylinder on my original PX200GS, Rest of the engine remains untouched. PoliniBOX already mounted and Carb will be updated (2,5mm drill). Also i'll change the clutch straight to a SIP or BGM. I wonder about your recommendation for the gear cog 22z? Even with the original engine i find the 1-3 gears almost to short, so i was even thinking about 24z gear cog, but at least 23z original transmission. what do U think? worth a try with the 24z cog on the plug and play Polini 210?
Hi great videos ,so did ya bolt it on ? Wot timing did ya set it at ? And wot main jet did ya have ,iv just bolted this kit on ,am useing all standard no porting or anything, just standard carb and crank with sip road exhaust, iv set my timing to IT mark and 122 main jet ,wots your thoughts, keep up the good videos. Cheers
@FreakMoPed8 thanks for the quick response, as in your video ,iv also used the standard barrel bored out with the same piston ,on my same engine, timeing set at IT 122 main and sip exhaust ,I thought the timeing IT would be the same as the previous topend was running great ,as it was time for new bearings and seals crank I treated the old girl to a nice up grade .lol
I have a PX200e with a Polini big box and a 25mm faster flowed carb and petcock (on your recommendations) which is sweet as a nut. I would love to get this kit to finish it off. 30 of us rode round Anglesey last weekend for hours! It was fucking freezing!!!
In my friend circle there is still a lot of debate over Aluminum vs Cast Iron. The argument for Aluminum is heat transfer/reduction and for Cast Iron its more durable and can be bored to 1+ etc. For this specific kit, is there a difference other than the price and construction material?
it can seize and u just continue isn't he biggest advantage, whereas coated are often defect. na. 207/210/221 kinda ll same same oldschopl 80ies cyl just torque no reving gets better with some porting
@@FreakMoPed8 i woud't use it even for that because cooling around the exhaust is like the old one so, if you try to tune the exhaust and raise the cylinder, it will seize
na. i dont share this conclusion with you. in the past esp fuel supply was underestimated and thats wjat cast iron needs first of all also the old polinibwuth the bad piston was absolutely durable without seizing. if the setup was good and set well. still have many engines running with it as i was a huge polini fan. no probs.

Also Polini is famous with fuel efficiency. Old Polini 208 with Polinibox consumes only 3.5 liters per 100 km. That’s amazing.
that so valid for sport 210 and m244. cast iron rather needs more due to cast iron, as it needs more fuel for cooling

use a timing light to set it in details, marks are never accurate
mj 122 is fine, but set ij in detail, checkout my guides for it

Wot clutch is recommended on a budget for it. Lol
Hi i cant find the guide thst youv mentioned @FreakMoPed8
Thank you so much. What would be the squish?
havent mounted the kit. just set a 1.4mm squish and ur good 🍻

whats a petcock 😄 sounds kinky!

Is the port layout the same as in old Polini? Was it only the piston and cylinder head that was updated?
exactly. still the 80es kit.
First of all I like your voice 😅😅. The question is, is there a way to modify the original exhaust to give more power instead of replacing it ?
ur female? 😉😉

jedenfalks nicht zu klein. ca 0.14-0.15 habe Werkzeug nicht um es exakt zu messen.
