I fully recommend the M1 Macbook Air as well. Bought mine the minute it went out and enjoyed every minute of using it since.
People can build a nice system for probably less than a thousand dollars You don’t need the latest and greatest products every year that Apple releases I use a 2021 IPad, an Apple Watch that’s 3 years old and 2017 IMac Everything works great! Too many people get caught up in the latest releases when they really don’t need them
I agree
but at one point the gap between oyur old device that doesn't get any update and a device that gets updates it too big and ur old device probably would have a bad battery life. still not syaing buying the newest one but buy the one before latest
@@dailycontentvidss That’s true with my IMac but the watch and IPad should keep receiving updates for awhile longer! Even though the IMac is 7 years old it still runs fantastic for my everyday needs
But i do so
@@dailycontentvidss When you’re device doesn’t get updated or battery is weak then probably it’s time to upgrade! I’m talking about people who buy new phones and IPads every year because of the hype! Apple devices can preform great for years!

Great video, my apple ecosystem is iPhone 15 plus 128GB, iPad 10th gen 64GB with cellular, Beats Solo 3 headphones, my wife has iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB, iPad 10th Gen 64GB with cellular, beats active headphones, and my daughter has iPhone SE 3rd gen 128GB, air pods pro 2nd gen, and a 1st gen iPad Pro 128GB, we are all completely satisfied with our setups and couldn’t be happier, all devices still preform great
Love this video i wish more content creators would do more of this. Most people do not even realize. I promise you they don't so I appreciate this video.
I’m not sure about putting refurbished AirPods in my ears but the rest of the suggestions are all most people would need for a complete ecosystem.
Amazon renewed would be cleaned professionally and tips replaced so u wouldnt have to worry. Not sure about other retailer tho but im sure about amazon
why not? they're refurbished not just second hand
Just throw out those ear pads, buy new one and you’re good to go
*aggressively buys iphone 15 pro*
fantastic video as always, Gary! and watching you on a caffeine high has been a lot of fun 😂
I actually went through a similar exercise. I went with a MacBook air m1, an iPhone se (renewed), the air pods pro and the iPad air(5th gen). I'm just getting into the Apple ecosystem and I've been thrilled with the results so far. I've been looking at the Apple watch se next, but since my primary phone is still a pixel fold, it's harder to justify the expense. So far, I'm thinking when I replace the fold, I'll get the current iPhone and get a watch to match.
Hm make sense
Buying Tip: Be sure the Refurb (actually ANY product) you buy from Amazon has the no nonsense "free return" policy attached. I'd rather pay a couple bucks more for the peace of mind it offers. BTW, my ecosystem is the base M1 Mini, the iPad Air 5 M1, the iPhone 11, first Gen AirPods Pro and the latest AppleWatch SE...and I forgot...a HomePod mini
I thought all of the Amazon Renewed products always get the 90 day return policy and a year for Premium Renewed?
1:42 "enter the airpods pro, or specifically the airpods pro gen 1" shows gen 2
Great work Gary. Your videos are always exceptional and well thought out. I really appreciate your budget videos. I hope they are well appreciated by lots of people.
Thank you for putting this out!
Still running the following:
M1 Mac Mini (256)
iPhone 14 (256)
AirPods Pro (lost previous AirPods)
iPad mini 5 (64)
I might consider adding the iPad 10 (need the writing space - mini too small for notes) and Apple Watch SE2.
Recently bought the HomePod (not worth it in my opinion - awful connectivity with the Mac mini).
My current ecosystem
iPhone 12 Pro (256 GB)👌🏽
iPad 9th Gen (64 GB) 😢
Apple Watch SE 2 👌🏽
AirPods Pro 1st Gen (the right bud is dying, left bud runs out of charge in the case)
I’m a okay with that ?
I have an iPad 9th 64 Gb and everything is perfect BUT the strorage🥲🙏
I’d go Beats Studio buds for the anc earbuds
It raises the price a bit but if you have the extra cash, I would say get the 13 mini instead of the 12 mini. EVERYONE I have talked to (including myself lol) has had awful Bluetooth issues with the 12 mini and whatever they did to fix it in the 13 mini completely fixed it!
I don’t recommend the iPhone 12 mini. It runs out on battery life pretty quickly. I’d rather go for a normal 12 or 13 mini
I’m still rocking with my ipad air 2 for 9 years now still going strong
lol you got me with "bet" because I be saying that haha
On my iPads I have always used this style of 360 keyboard/case. Earto iPad 9th/8th/7th Generation Keyboard Case, Pro 10.2/10.5 inch (2021), Air 3, 7 Color Backlit, 360 Rotatable, Slim Wireless Keyboard with Folio Hard Back Cover, Black.
Current ecosystem right now is an ip13 pro max, ipad 10th gen, macbook air 2020 m1 and it is sooooooo gooooood. Hopefully tho arm version OS will be available for us apple silicon users using virtual machines.
What’s that wallpaper on the iPad 👀
That’s a fine set. I actually use my own budget ecosystem day-to-day (by choice). I have an Apple Watch Series 8, but I kept my old Series 3. Use both, mostly to track my running with Strava. For this purpose, Series 3 is just as good as Series 8. My iPhone is SE3, in current new lineup. I don’t really need 5G and A15 is overkill for that design, so SE2 would also be fine. My TWO iPads are 10.5-inch iPad Pro and iPad mini 5 (the last iPad models of their type with Touch ID Home button). Both run latest iPadOS and work great for my iPad needs. Both compatible with first gen Apple Pencil. That 2017 iPad Pro is a workhorse with (still) amazing ProMotion display and 4-speaker audio. Plus AirPods 2, in new lineup ($80 on sale). I also use Beats Flex ($40 on sale) that I prefer in many ways over AirPods, functionality part of Apple’s ecosystem. So to pick one set, iPad mini 5, iPhone SE3, Apple Watch Series 3, and AirPods 2. Plus my M1 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro.
My ecosystem is MacBook M1 Pro 16, iPhone 13 and 15 pro, AirPods Pro 2 and Max, and 40mm watch 6 stainless steel
Seeing vids like this, I’m almost ashamed of how much I’ve spent on Apple products. Currently have an iPhone 15 pro, M1 iPad Air, M2 MacBook Pro, Apple Watch series 9, AirPods Pro 2, Apple TV, and 4 AirTags. Easily $5k+ and still will probably be more.
bro💀💀💀
i almost have the same products just that i have an ipad Pro M2 with every accessorie available for the ipad, and to be honest i ain’t complaining im much happier than android/PC users
@@mr.dude1338 I wish that I could ditch my windows pc and go fully mac os, but sadly alot of games and programs that I use for work don't run on mac os.
Iphone 12 (used from back market). IPad 10th gen as well (i have it for school already) Airpods 4 (Noise cancelling) and apple watch SE 2
base ipad was and is always the best deal out there.
Apple always has the best, easy to use, seamless and smooth ecosystem out of everything on the market. So sad that they’re not so open towards other companies and make the use of non Apple products very difficult
The fact that you listed the reasons and purposes for what you are building your Apple ecosystem is a valuable lesson to shoppers out there not to buy the most expensive products just because.
Do you have a video for those that need for instance need the high end Apple products for something like graphics?
My current ecosystem is the 12 pro and iPad 9th gen with the Logitech combo touch keyboard. I also have the 1st gen apple pencil. I tried the Apple watch but sold it, I don't need another thing to charge everyday or do software updates for.
Video is straight to the point 👍🏾
You said you use the iPad to take notes but where is the Apple Pencil?
I have also limited budget. I have used Iphone 13 mini, used apple watch 3, airpods pro 1, ipad pro 2019 + pencil 2, used macbook pro m2 pro and Mac Pro 2012 with new gpu. For me it works just fine.
Love the video and a frugal way to get into an excellent walled garden. But since you asked me, the iPhone 13 mini gets wayyyy better battery life than the 12 mini. Some videos say 2-3 hours more screen on time. I’d pay extra for that.
My current setup is iPhone SE 3 (64), Watch Series 3, iPad 9th gen (64), Airpods 2nd Gen, Apple TV 4k 3rd gen (128) and Apple Pencil 1st gen. Also have an airtag on my keychain and otterboxes on everything.
My current echo system is the iPhone 13, iPad 7th gen, Apple Watch SE 2nd gen, and AirPods 1st gen, I’m thinking about getting the Apple Pencil 1st gen aswell
ngl i had the airpods pro v2, and i prefer indian boat airdopes 141 ANC
Nice video, thanks! My current Apple ecosystem is the iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 (a relative gave me this, not saying no for a free iPhone!), Airpods 3rd Gen, Apple Watch SE2, iPad 9, Apple Pencil 1st Gen. I am thinking of upgrading my iPad 9, but gonna wait a bit if Apple will release new iPad/Mini later this year.
Instead of iPad 10 you could get an refurbished air 4
i’ve had I’ve had my 12 many since 2021 and it served me very good. I did have to replace the battery. Well I didn’t really have to but the battery life was getting a bit shorter so I did but even with that out-of-the-way it’s still a great phone.
I think the coffe maked the video even better
Damn this is just "PERFECT"
Also i have an iPhone 12 and a iPad 6th generation.there both so good I have no problems.
My general ecosystem goes like this, as a hs student:
1) Samsung S10 (like 150 dollars rn)
2) Samsung Tab s7 FE (goes for like 450 dollars)
3) Tozo NC7 earbuds : got em refurbed for 27 dollars and have good audio and decent noise cancelling
Total: 630 dollars.
Is it the most cost effective, best quality system?
No.
Does it do what I want it to?
Hell yeah!
I'm using 12 mini since it was first launched, and will gonna keep using it for next 2 years at least , amazing phone. miss mini phones, phones were suppose to be small.
I got m2 macbook pro, iphone se 2020 and watch se 2 and boy do I love it
I have the 12 mini and I use it as a backup phone. I really don’t recommend it as a main driver, as with a common battery drain issue - iOS throttles heavily.
It’s a pain to use below 60% battery. If you love the mini, go for the 13 mini. Otherwise I’d assume the 12 Pro refurbed is also pretty good value. You probably want to spend the most of your budget on the iPhone - as far as the ecosystem goes. My 3 cents 🙏
That is an insanely awesome price for a complete ecosystem!! Great job!
I feel like calling this a complete Apple Ecosystem isn’t completely legitimate. It covers most of your bases but sometimes you need a Mac, and you need the Apple Pencil to get the most of the note taking capabilities.
I think it works. My Mac died a month ago and I’ve used my iPad for work stuff for a whole month - Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace e.t.c. But yes, I miss my Mac and I’m getting a replacement in another week or so. As for the Pencil, I have one but 90% of my note taking is via typing. I use the Pencil when I need to doodle something.
There is also the issue with low base storage without icloud.
My ecosystem is a iphone xs 64gb, 2017 macbook pro w/ touchbar 1tb, ipad air4 64gb, airpods 1, and a watch se2
My current ecosystem is: AP watch series 6, iPhone 11, Macbook Air M1, iPad 9th Gen and AirPods 2
My ecosystem is iPhone 15 pro, iPad Pro gen 4 A12z processor, MacBook Air m1, AirPod gen 3 and Apple Watch series 9
My current ecosystem: iPhone 11 (will be upgrading to the 15), iPad 9th Gen, and M1 MacBook Air. I think it would've been smarter if I actually got the 10th Gen instead just for the USB-C, but the 9th can do the things I need it to do and it's cheaper too.
5:07 why so much mail?
My current Apple ecosystem is, iPhone SE 3, Apple Watch SE 2, iPad 9, Beats Fit Pro. All works perfectly for me, bought brand new and got 10% off on each item.
My current ecosystem is an Apple watch series 9, a m2 macbook air, a 2022 ipad air, a Iphone X, Airpod pros 2 gen and a apple Tv.
I have the pro 2s and love them and just bought the AW S9 and it is amazing
Idk why people get so hyped about the apple watch?!! In my opinnion id throw out the watch and ipad and get the M1 air instead, thats the best ecosystem for the money
Watch is quite fun for fitness and sleep tracking. The heart rate monitor is one of the most accurate for a smartwatch.
My ecosystem is (iPhone 12 mini) (ipad 10) (Apple Watch series7) (iMac 2017 21.5in) all works great for me but definitely looking towards upgrading my iPhone and Mac
You could get a 13 mini, 1st gen AirPods, and the se watch if you don’t need an iPad. Better battery save up some and buy a used iPad.
Are we gunna talk about how those are AirPod pro gen 2’s?
As I am getting older, I want everything all connected at once. Thank you for the vide. I lost my airpod, but I have apple watch, mackbook air laptop and iphone. All I need is ipad.
Heck yeah! My ecosystem is MacBook Pro M1 Pro base 16" (16gb & 512gb), iPhone 14 Pro Max (256gb), Watch Ultra 2, iPad Air M1 (64gb), AppleTV 4k 3rd Gen (64gb), and my Beats fit Pro
I have the IPhone 15 (got it for free from T-Mobile), AirPods Pro 2, and AW series 9 41mm
My current eco system is WATCH SE 2 gen, 11 inch 128mb IPad Air M2, iPhone 13 .
I feel like the best ABSOLUTE BANG FOR BUCK is an iMac + iPad + iPhone
I currently have an iPhone 15 Pro 128GB, Apple Watch SE 2gen and Macbook Air 13,6” M3
I will say that the Apple Watch SE models have the same display sizes as series 4-6, not series 7-9. It’s still a great watch as the SE2 has the same chip and processor as the Apple Watch S8
My ecosystem is: an iPhone 14 (128 GB), Apple Watch Series 3, AirPods Pro (1st generation), 2020 iPad Pro (11 inch) (256 GB) and (soon to be) an 15in m3 MacBook Air, what do you lot think? Personally this ecosystem works really well, even the watch works well despite being old and unsupported.
I bought the IPhone 12 mini a few weeks before I watched this renewed off of amazon and I thought it was a pretty good deal and I predicted your choice
Miraculously my AirPods from 2017 still work great, the battery needs a charge halfway thru the day if I’m using them constantly but it’s really not much of a problem for me. Do not go trying to buy AirPods from that long ago though I have no idea how they still even work
So what are you going to write out those notes with?
great video and impressive budgeting 👍 i wouldve liked to have seen a mac book some where in there though.. maybe instead of the watch, as i already have one?
obviously if you go renewed and refurbished on everything you’ll come a low budget 😂😂😂
Best way to shop. And those units go through stricter parameters than new units.
you can also get the M1 from Walmart new for 699
My current Apple “ecosystem”consists of my purple iPhone 12 (refurbished from eBay), a 9th gen iPad, Apple Watch SE 2, and the OG AirPods. All told, the total I’ve spent is less than $900, and I think that’s pretty good!
mine is iphone 15 pro, airpod pro gen 1, ipad air gen 4, apple watch s3 42mm
I’m always nervous buying refurbished products. Have you had good experiences with them?
I secretly think you picked the iPhone 12 Mini for the same reason I would: MagSafe. And because it's in the current aesthetic. But I could be wrong.
In any event, great picks. I honestly would've picked the 13 Mini....or more so the 13 Standard, because of scene size, battery life and accessory compatibility. It's still pocketable but much more compatible with the glut of accessories out there...especially MagSafe/magnetic battery packs. I have two friends, one with the 13 Mini w/o a MagSafe case; been a pain trying to find her case outside of Amazon. And the other I'm trying to convince to move from his SE2; he's too used to the Home button. I pretty much evangelize the benefits of MagSafe....best feature so far on iPhone.
This is crazy. I will save up to get these . In my country it’s a little bit difficult to get these gadgets and Amazon doesn’t ship some stuff to my country
my current eco system is: Samsung A50, ryzen 9 7900x3d rtx 4090 64gb ram pc, Rolex Submariener, and the 2011 iPad 3. Rate it out of 10
You forgot to mention you'll need an apple pencil for those notes. That brushes closer to 1000 but should be under.
The cheapest still supported eco system would be: iPhone XR, iPad 7, Apple Watch 4 and lightning EarPods
bro when the video was at 5:13 you can see that the mail apple has 56,360 missed notifications🤯
exactly 😂
@@fergus2835 of course

I like how the HomePod is never in your Apple ecosystem. I have one and actually love it. Curious if you have ever used one
I had a HomePod Mini, sold it and regret it. I am currently looking to get rid of all my echo devices and replace them with HomePods.
in my country where i live now, the cheapest apple ecosystem that i can get would cost around 1200-1300 euros. It includes an iphone 11 128gb variant, the airpods 2, ipad 2022 64gb model and apple watch se 2023.
Prety expensive compared to the states where one can get all this for probably 40% less money. Insane.
CS50, love to see it!
The cheapest apple ecosystem is probably just a Mac Mini
iPhone 12
AirPods Pro 1st gen
iPad Air 5th gen/M1 MacBook Air
I don’t need an Apple Watch but if I wanted one, it would be the series 5
The iphone is second hand? I no won spend too much😅
@@OGTennyson sure. you fit get used or refurbished.
i guess these products are only availiable for these price range in the US only
nice vid my apple ecosystem is the iphone se 3 nothing else i will probably never get airpods but i definitly want to get an apple watch and ether an ipad or a macbook
I would say insteadd of buying the ipad and the old iphone you should go for xiaomi pad 6 and any mid range android phone, they will be brand new and will have more capabilities
Is it safe to use refurbished or renewed gadgets? I heard they're not officially made by the mother company.
Mine is the iPhone 15 pro, watch ultra, iPad Pro (latest), iMac 2021 and AirPods 2nd gen.
m1 macbook has insane value. it is still very powerful that does so much with such a cheap price.
The current ecosystem in my family is my iPad 5th gen (32GB), my Apple Watch SE 2 (32GB), my mom’s iPhone 12 Pro Max (256GB), my mom’s iPad Pro 6th gen (512GB), my dad’s iPhone 12 Pro Max (128GB), and my dad’s MacBook Pro M2 (Idk tbh)
3:19 I love my Apple Watch SE 2
My current ecosystem is the iPhone 15, nothing earbuds, Apple Watch, iPad 9th gen, and a gaming laptop
