a lot of people hate on apple for having such a good ecosystem but what are they supposed to do? Not take advantage that they own the OS? Windows and Android arent owned by the same people so they cant take full advantage but apple for sure can.
I really like apple ecosystem. I personally prefer Sony earphones. It have better sound quality and two device connectivity too. I am a student. Ecosystem helps a lot with my homework’s and assignments. Using iPhone for projects for capturing stuff and working on the go and when I got to home it all synced with iPad. I want to add more apple products to my ecosystem. For example MacBook and an Apple Watch. I use a windows pc and third party softwares to sync. It disturbs me sometimes. I really want to switch to Mac as soon as possible.
Having purchased an IPad 4 weeks ago and I just got an iPhone this past weekend, I’m not going back to android. Within 5 weeks I have become a apple user 🤯 It took a minute but now I get it
however iPhones don't really work well with usb cables. firstly remember most (apart from the 15 Pro and Pro Max) still have USB2 speeds and iphones are recognised as a camera device rather than as mass storage. in my case i find myself using google photos to transfer photos between iphone android and windows
@@ghejnuni Thats someting i didnt know, iPhones are recognised as a camera device. This is likey done by apple on purpose. Its disingenuous as they dont want you to be able to access your files. They want you to think that you could break something if you dont know what you are doing, but most people wont do this. I now see why it was more annoyng to transfer music files to earlier iPhones, since they were recognised as a camera. I am curoius if you have an iPhone, is it an older or later one and if its a newer one, does it still show up as a camera and not storage?
Out of all the ecosystem components, the Apple Watch is the most "mandatory" of them all. It is the most integrated of all apple's products. You can't even set it up without having an iPhone initially.
Airdrop alone is worth it. I’ve been using iMacs since the eMac. Eventually that became iPhones, iPad, AirPods Pro and the watches. Airdrop makes backing up my files onto my computer a breeze and sharing photos between family to be sure I get the best quality, easy as possible. I back my photos up onto 4 different hard drives, I have no use for a storage subscription
Great video. This was a very good video! It was knowledgeable about the subject without the loaded language and drama we typically get from UA-camrs. None of that “trapped” in the ecosystem or “it’s only marketing” nonsense. It’s baffling to hear buying products that are very capable and offer a superior performance than other devices described as a NEGATIVE. Apple doesn’t make using other manufacturer’s products with Apple products a LESS enjoyable experience than other users, they make using their products with their other Apple products a BETTER experience.
The two best aspects of apple’s ecosystem in my opinion are, you know it’s going to be a quality device and the synchronous nature of various settings and iCloud account functionality. You can try this using Samsung devices but it’s not as well refined.
For me , the only disappointment of the Apple ecosystem I’ve experienced, is that people still don’t seem to take advantage of using the complete system of apps (especially Pages and Numbers) that Apple provides. All of these apps have seen improvements over the last few years to make your digital life a lot smoother and simpler. You’re paying for these apps anyway (when you purchase a phone), give them a try.
As a windows snd iPhone/ipad user the ability to use my phone as a webcam is a feature I wish I could use. There’s apps to do a similar thing but it works nowhere near as well as apples system.
My favourite ecosystem thing is copy and pasting things between devices like magic and the fact you can put airpods in and they'll just work between Apple devices like magic Quality of life features is a big reason why the ecosystem is great and why I wish I could game on MacOS like I can on Windows so I could have MacOS as my operating system
You did a video a couple of years ago for “Smartwatch as your Phone.” I tried that and love it so my one addition to the ecosystem would be to better integrate the Watch with other devices and deprioritize the iPhone as the flagship so those of us feeling the pull of smartphone addiction can step away from the phone. My dream ecosystem would be a Cellular iPad + Apple Watch, a Mac Desktop computer and an Apple TV. If we are wish casting I would love it for Apple came out with a “Digital notebook” with Eink like the Remarkable or the Kindle Scribe.
EDIT: I will summarise this better. Apple has made it more annyoing to transfer a file from other devices rather than there own in order to keep you ignorant of the fact thats its very easy to do without all of Apples stuff. So this on Apple and thier Mac books. Think about it, Its easy to send files from one Android device to another. About the file transfer from android at around 3:46. Its even easier to transfer any file from you phone to any computer. Just connect you phone via the provided usb lead, simpy find the folder on your phone that conatins the file, then drag and drop it into the place you want on your PC, its dead easy. I can see that if you have been using an app on an Apple device that it seems harder, but is not. Its not hard to find the location of the file on your phone when it connected you your computer. Your phone does a good job of telling you what location ist stored in. The fact that the app is bad is not reflective of how much easier it is to trasnfer a file from your phone on Android to any PC. You could find another free app that would work an do the same job.
There's a driver on mac os that's 3rd party and let's me access my android in finder and drag and drop it into my phone. I'm not in the ecosystem I'm just here for mac os because ìts IMO the best os in the world

KDE Connect will resolve a lot of the issues you run into with Android and MacOS not playing nicely, also works nicely for integrating Android with Windows, Linux and other Android devices.
apple ecosystem works so well, I own Airpods pro 2, Apple watch Ultra 2, iPhone 13 pro, M2 iPad pro 11 (which replaced my M1 iPad air lol) & beats studio 3 (if that counts)...everything works so well
honestly the "feature" of multiple air pods playing from one device is a restriction rather than a feature because on my android after connecting multiple headphones i just select everyone i want to play to and it just does it regardless of the brand.
7:05 is wrong. Other devices allow for double Bluetooth, Samsung of course has it on the Galaxy devices and calls it Dual Audio and even Xiaomi has it's own version named Bluetooth Audio Sharing. On top of that, they both allow for usage of ALL bluetooth devices, not only apple.
I was thinking that until the last thing that he said. The caveat is that that feature is only available on iPhone using AirPods. You’re correct that other phones can, for example my Pixel can connect to two different audio sources, but for iPhone you have to use AirPods
I use a M1 MacBook Air, an iPhone 15 Plus, iPad 10th Generation & Beats Flex earbuds (they automatically connect to my Apple devices) as my own Apple Ecosystem
When you're inside, all of the parts flow like fine wine. the I0S interfaces and how 'beautiful' they are compared to any other system. I've used both Microsoft extensively but prefer Apple. I decided a few months ago to begin my search for iPhone etc and out came WWDC well off I went... I'm in...
10:00 Also a lot of WearOS watches (besides a few like the TicWatch) don't pair with iPhones at all. I don't know why because that pulls away potential consumers so if you want a smart watch (a watch that is truly smart) and you have an iPhone, you need an Apple Watch.
i have an ipad, iphone, apple watch, and airpods pro. I game a lot though so I have a desktop windows pc. I’ve used macs before but i just don’t get along with the software. Otherwise I have the Sony XM5 because i thought the airpods max looked too bulky and I just didn’t like the style. I’d say that I couldn’t imagine having a different phone, tablet, or smart watch, but equally I couldn’t imagine having a mac unless I get extremely rich and have it as a second device separate from my pc for photoshop and lightroom
@@DustyKing my main issues are the lack of compatibility for gaming on macs and my personal dislike for the software so i don’t know what that would fix. People can have their preferences, might not be your opinion but it’s mine
The Apple ecosystem is above anything available in the market today. Samsung isn’t at the same level. What Apple does right is that they deliver products that just work out of the box. No need to download apps or cables. Apple is simplified convenience. If you use Apple messaging, emails, files, notes ,photos and safari you can check them on any of your devices without having to download apps and logging in. It’s just an experience that you have to try to understand. I’m heavily in the ecosystem and my wife uses Samsung and she doesn’t understand why Samsung can’t catch up. The only thing you get with them is phones with good cameras after that you need a ton of apps and cables to do some of the things Apple can do out of the box.
iPhone 15 pro max, 13” iPad Pro M4, 14” MacBook Pro with the M3 pro chip, AirPods Pro, Apple TV 4K… my Apple Watch gen 4 recently bit the dust and I’m waiting for the new ones to be announced Monday before I get a new one. Apple ecosystem is just prime time. I still like having a desktop pc for gaming, but everything else is so much better on Mac. Also, every windows laptop has garbage battery life compared to MacBook. I just love Apple. They can be anti consumer sometimes but their products are amazing. The ONLY Apple product I absolutely HATE is the stupid Magic Mouse lol. That thing is too thin, my hand cramps within 5 minutes of using it, and you just can’t beat having an actual right click on a physical mouse.
I got an M2 Max MBP in 2023 because of my disappointment with brands I'd previously liked (Lenovo and Dell in their business lineups specifically). In 2024, I now find myself with a macbook, an iphone, airpods, and even icloud+.

I was on android up until last year and I will say it is worth the switch but at the same time I miss many android features...UI for example. Both are very good and having both is great...I will say the apple ecosystem is the best since everything can sync up and work seamlessly together but it can still be interchangeable with no drawbacks
I would definitely choose to use the Apple ecosystem if I had enough money and needed to replace a device. However, I often have to consider my budget, which leads me to a mix of devices from various brands. Currently, I use a Windows desktop, a Surface Pro 7, a MacBook Air, a Google Pixel 7 Pro, an airPod Pro, an iPad 10th generation, a pair of Sony headphones, and a Galaxy Watch 3. While it’s not a fully integrated setup, it allows me to balance functionality and affordability.
Universal control has made my life a billion times easier. It was way more seamless than I thought It would be because i'm using older Mac products (from 2019).
I know android is starting to do things similarly, especially Samsung, but the reason I stay on iPhone is because nobody is nearly as seamless with connecting literally everything I own together. Samsung isn’t bad by any means, they’re just one step behind when it comes to this That being said, my god the Magic Mouse is absolutely terrible
Android suffers from the same problem that windows does which is that it is developed as software separately from the company selling the device. Samsung doesn’t write android software, it uses software from google on its devices. While iOS on the other hand is coded by apple for apple devices. Which is why it think the apple ecosystem so seamless compared to other ecosystems as well as apple recognizing that people want their devices to work together.
I have a Fitbit does that count 😂 I did try Apple Watch first gen but it wasnt for me felt too heavy etc and after few months seemed to make my wrist skin itchy and red probably because I wearing it too tight (although I did keep it clean)everything else is apple. iPad Pro, phone and now airpods………..its just one less hassle everything works with everything else and the interface is second to none…..although if I am being picky I would say since Steve Jobs went to his fluffy cloud up there its not quite as slick visually possibly a little too busy less minimalist. But still works for me. Considering getting an imac 24 on discount with M1 chip as its £600 less for same spec just slower chip.
The Nest hub is definitely worth buying. 1. There is no cheaper and better digital photo frame. 2. Also works with Apple music. 3. Very easy to set multiple timers, you can see count down on the screen. 4. Has almost all the functions that the apple homepod has.@@brucelin5842

I used to work with/for Apple once upon a time. originally I was on the Apple ecosystem in Japan and the UK and had to switch to Android plus Windows when I moved to the Philippines. I got used to the handoff between android and windows in general and had to move back onto the apple ecosystem (primarily for work), but you really do miss out on most of the soft features available in those primary markets, making it somewhat useless here, unless you’re using it for work. I’d say if you’re living in a country which isn’t prioritized by Apple, it’s better to use Android + Windows, unless you absolutely have to use iOS or macOS for work purposes. Where are Apple’s primary markets? Wherever they have official Apple stores (NOT their official resellers): the US and other Western countries, China, Singapore, India, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, and the UAE. If you’re anywhere else? Android and Windows for a non work ecosystem.

I used to be team android. I had a MacBook for a while. But the iPad really is just the best for note taking and I really contribute it to my recent success in college. I got an IPhone at the same time and oh my god.... The ecosystem makes a HUGE difference. Getting the right documents to wherever I need it for class is just so easy. I remember really struggling when I had my galaxy.
I'm planning to get a watch soon too.
The watch is really pointless. Got one and regretted it.
@@emp437it’s pointless depending on what your reason for using it is.

Yeah, no one has the money for apple products here
a lot of people hate on apple for having such a good ecosystem but what are they supposed to do? Not take advantage that they own the OS? Windows and Android arent owned by the same people so they cant take full advantage but apple for sure can.
Worth the money? YES if you can afford it. Its a thing of beauty as things work seamlessly
Why does everyone ignore the beats by dre headphones. Its part of the apple ecosystem
Because unless you want to hear nothing but bass, they’re pretty rough
😂
Having purchased an IPad 4 weeks ago and I just got an iPhone this past weekend, I’m not going back to android. Within 5 weeks I have become a apple user 🤯 It took a minute but now I get it
3:40 its almost like usb cables exist, i know its crazy
still, airdrop is more convenient and were in the age where saving a few seconds is as good as saving an hour
however iPhones don't really work well with usb cables. firstly remember most (apart from the 15 Pro and Pro Max) still have USB2 speeds and iphones are recognised as a camera device rather than as mass storage. in my case i find myself using google photos to transfer photos between iphone android and windows
@@ghejnuni isnt this deliberately made inconvinient by apple, if only theyd support usb properly like any other phone does
@@ghejnuni Thats someting i didnt know, iPhones are recognised as a camera device.
Wouldnt that make the iPhone the most mandatory then?
I don't like the watch, it's too much, I don't need to be that connected all the time.
As an electrician I use live listen to turn off circuits I am working on in homes
Apple doesn’t make using other manufacturer’s products with Apple products a LESS enjoyable experience than other users, they make using their products with their other Apple products a BETTER experience.
its illegal to be this underrated great video

I use Pages, numbers, note and all Apple apps. They work better than the 3rd party ones.

Quality of life features is a big reason why the ecosystem is great and why I wish I could game on MacOS like I can on Windows so I could have MacOS as my operating system

Another thing to remember about the screen play is, it is possible with 3rd party apps, discord is one that allows it, with all platforms
Android phones are overpriced trash and windows laptops are a joke.
There's a driver on mac os that's 3rd party and let's me access my android in finder and drag and drop it into my phone. I'm not in the ecosystem I'm just here for mac os because ìts IMO the best os in the world

You’re correct that other phones can, for example my Pixel can connect to two different audio sources, but for iPhone you have to use AirPods
it seems like the apple eco system is the most compatibe within itself while the others are good standalone

10:00 Also a lot of WearOS watches (besides a few like the TicWatch) don't pair with iPhones at all. I don't know why because that pulls away potential consumers so if you want a smart watch (a watch that is truly smart) and you have an iPhone, you need an Apple Watch.

I wish there was better control over Spotify. I don’t want to go to Apple Music because I’ve had my Spotify account a very long time.

Bro your journal ✨what the brand is it
Universal control has made my life a billion times easier. It was way more seamless than I thought It would be because i'm using older Mac products (from 2019).
I know android is starting to do things similarly, especially Samsung, but the reason I stay on iPhone is because nobody is nearly as seamless with connecting literally everything I own together. Samsung isn’t bad by any means, they’re just one step behind when it comes to this
That being said, my god the Magic Mouse is absolutely terrible
Android suffers from the same problem that windows does which is that it is developed as software separately from the company selling the device. Samsung doesn’t write android software, it uses software from google on its devices. While iOS on the other hand is coded by apple for apple devices. Which is why it think the apple ecosystem so seamless compared to other ecosystems as well as apple recognizing that people want their devices to work together.
What iPhone case are you using?
