2004 is probably my favorite year ever, and it was an incredible year for films. I was in 8th grade and some of my favorites that weren’t included are: The Girl Next Door (one of my all-time favorites), The Village, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Butterfly Effect, Collateral, Kung Fu Hustle, White Chicks. And of course they’re bigger movies but Prisoner of Azkaban, Spider-Man 2, Shrek 2 and Dodgeball. We were absolutely spoiled that year. I miss it.

2004 was like peak DVD. Everything came out, especially in Germany. The early 2000s have still not been rediscovered. Thanks for this video!

In Good Company is another 2004 Topher Grace movie that I remember being decent. It also has Scarlett Johansson and Dennis Quaid. I remember the term 'synergy' was used a lot in that movie lol.

2004 year I graduated High School!!
So glad to see this year spotlighted, I worked at a movie theater during this time. Later in 2005 as a projectionist. Breakin All the Rules, you seemed so happy talking about this I need to watch this one. I remember people walking out of Closer being shocked by the material. Flight of the Phoenix was the first movie I saw with my now wife. Absolutely killer list.

Late 90s to early 2000s feels like a bit of a forgotten era for films. With a few exceptions, this era isn’t getting any love in the 4K realm. I haven’t seen Layer Cake or Closer, will have to check those out!

Wow, you really don't know who James L. Brooks is? (Spanglish director) That is shocking, man. Otherwise, good video. 2004 was a great year for film.
