Oh, Congo is a great movie, a true adventure film that we basically lost nowadays. I'm glad it's getting such a semi-premium release, and have already preordered. The cast is awesome, and I love the 90's tech, those satellite video conferencing adds so much coolness and tension!
"Stop eating my sesame cake" 😆 love it. First and only line I remember when I think of this movie. It's a good movie but not sure it's of a tier that warrants a 4K over my current Blu-ray.
Great, great movie!! Has been in my collection for almost 30 years! Practically wore out the VHS tape in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Have had the DVD ever since. Great adventure, with hilarious comedy mixed in. Ernie Hudson makes every movie he’s in better.

Southern Comfort is great if you haven’t seen it, it’s the only VSU box I own. I don’t recall if I’ve seen Congo, but I’m convinced after watching this video. Pre order placed!

Yeah, I caught it in the cinema during a stretch of really enjoying some Crichton novels. I really wanted to like it, but I remember it being strikingly bad.
Congo is a fun popcorn movie, but the novel is soooooo much better! I was hired to write a sequel that never happened, and I never got paid. It would’ve been awesome.
I kinda regret buying the VSU of that robot kid movie lol, cant even remember the name. So no, im not going to let the fomo get to me. If i want to watch it again ill find the dvd then decide. Although i do kinda want that VSU of Southern Comfort!
I havnt bought any VSU I havnt seen before. I didn’t have fomo for this 1 but yea VS puts out a lot of random stuff that isn’t always good haha I thought about getting the Navy Seals VSU but I watched the trailer & though meh… still need to see the movie
Meh I’ve got the blu and was pretty happy with it, I wouldn’t mind the 4k but I’m sure af not jumping on it anytime soon. These vs unveils for kind of week imo, goodbar and blood tracks are really the only ones that really interested me but not buying them immediately. All the partner releases sucked imo as well. These 2 mystery titles better be something mind blowing
Its a guilty pleasure, but not to be released as a VSU. This should be released by kino and bought on a sale. Im disappointed with vinegar syndrome this year
The answer is NO. Capital letters. Movie is absolutely horrendous. No one read the source material and made the movie on what they thought it could be.
