Memorable, simplistic lyrics with cleverly chosen metaphores and allusions addressed against all totalitarian regimes and aggressors, past and present, all in a delicious form of postmodern, neoavant-garde, theatrical, punk rock opera-performance, with aesthetic reminiscent of Laibach and Rammstein. Dynamical and chaotic staging is brimming with elements of socialist realism visual art style and army props, to emphasise even more the subversive message of the song. Clearly an anti-war, political satire filled with astute dark humor and a touch of deliberate obscenity (Let3's 'trademark'). Bold, ballsy, witty, captivating and extremely refreshing! Respect and admiration! Thank you for this artistic masterpiece of 21st century! 12 POINTS, of course!!! 🤘🏻❤🌋
Hi guys, art is universal, you felt a positive vibe, it's nice to see that you are comfortable and enjoying yourself, I wish you all the best guys. 🙌✌️❤️
ŠČ is a letter in the Russian alphabet, but in the Croatian alphabet Š is the 25th letter of the alphabet, and Č is the 4th letter of the alphabet, 25+4=29. The 29th letter of the Croatian alphabet is Z. The Russians marked their vehicles with that sign in the attack on Ukraine.
Even we - croats, who understand the language had hard time understanding the message and full meaning of this song. At the first hearing we all said what a rubish but after just few hearings we noticed that there is a huge twist! Members paid attention to every small detail - scene, cosplay, music, lights and lyrics. It is fckn masterpiece because you hate this song at first but you cannot not love it at the end! They are actually playing with our minds on provocative and satirical way and send strong message to stop this madness and war! And the rhytm is very catchy! "Some could compare this song with a bohemian rapsody or monthy pythons" The hidden message is #stopthewar - but on very satirical and provocative way. Let3 is "special" band They have more votes against them in croatia because of their provocative way of singing (they are always singing naked, with roses in their rearparts, rude words in their album's titles...funny thing is that they have been selling completely empty albums - and even sold 350 copies of empty cd :D or publishing only one copy of an album...so as you can see...not an ordinary bend at all). 1. In this song, tractor is a reference to Lukashenko's birthday present to Putin. Belarus is also manufacturing tractors. 2. Mama ŠČ is a metaphor for Mother Russia because 70% of russians still support this war. ŠČ is a russian letter. 3. Putin is described as a "vile little psychopath". But Mother Russia or russians support him (mama loved a moron). 4. He is crying crocodile tears (boris johnson's words) for russian dead soldiers - meaning he doesnt care about them. Or it could be about russian drug called crocodile meaning that this psychopat is on drugs. 5. The vocalist represents Stalin, and the guy with rockets has NINLE on his forhead (wordplay:Nin-Le=Lenin). 6. On 2 rockets there are word plays: Lenjin (njinle) and Putin (cupaj on croatian means push-out and opposite is put-in) 7. Some also says that mama represents lukaschenko (he loves putin) while granny (nona on croatian) represents lenjin while armagedon refers to cold war nukes. All in all - this song is trolling Putin and russians but also asking for a world peace. 7. BUT what makes this song perfect is that it doesnt stop on lyrics...they have full performance! As you noticed they have cosplay like soldiers...at the beginning at "bohemian rapsody" part the vocal is turning around like a doll enjoying madness (putin) while his fellows are lying dead on the floor (his countrymans). Also the end with a roses in their bums sends powerfull message about peace, but again, on the only possible way for let3 - provocative way! After all, the thing i like the most about this song is that is jumps from the worst song ever to one of the most powerfull songs! And maybe it is just me but i love when someone tricks me this way :D #Stop.the.war! #hope.we.wont.see.another.bomb-drone.in.croatian.capital.after.this 😅
I'm also Croatian and I've never been a fan of "Let 3". When I first heard this song, I thought "what rubbish, if we send this to the Eurovision Song Contest we will show Europe what a nation of morons we are!". But after a few listens and a magnificent performance at Dora, I became such a fan of this song that I've been repeatedly listening to it for days! :D
svmw nisi u pravu. Mi u Hrvatskoj smo odmah na prvu sve shvatili i razumjeli. Zbog toga je Let 3 i dobio glasove publike, koji su ih i izbacili kao pobjednike
what a powerful observation!!! Wow! Congrats mate! You are the only one who apparently saw the seriousness in his eyes! Beautiful and percize! He sings about wirdo dictators who provide wars for their getting rich sake, while many innocent people die and they do not care a bit! This is real art they did with this song!

On one of the rockets at the end of the performace, and on the forehead, it says NJILE=LENJIN, Lenin eng. And on the second rocket it says PAJČU = ČUPAJ, pull out = put in. The guy whos carrying the rockets is Rasputin, Ras putin. It is obvious who the song is talking about.
Hidden in a plain sight This is a superb ‘rock-opera’ anti-war parody with powrful visuals. Tractor is a reference to Belarus president Lukashenko's birthday present to Putin. In the song Putin is described as a "vile little psychopath", the vocalist represents Stalin, and the guy with nuclear rockets has NINLE on his forhead (word play: Nin-Le=Lenin) and is dressed in monk's outfit, like Rasputin. Insertion of a dominant, sinister, dark Lenin, who came way before Putin, points to a much deeper problem. And those TWO nuclear warheads; after all we all know who dropped the A-bombs! ’Trajna nina nena’ is Croatian song for little kids; ‘Trajna nina armagedon nona’(grandma) speaks for itself. Mama ŠČ is a metaphor for Mother Russia (ŠČ is a letter of the Russian alphabet), and crocodile is a terrible drug popular in Russia, that makes people act like zombies. Guys are dressed in military uniforms but in pink and bright colors and are wearing dresses; making fun of all warmongers and military establishments, proponents of chaos. Side image shows roses sticking out of their asses. Proposterous, or superb description of the present time? Main exclamation is ‘mama idem u rat’- mommy I am going to war, a cry against the forced mobilization, and sending young people to kill each other.
This is an anti war song. It practically calls anyone wanting a war - a moron and a psychopath. . The staging, visuals are showing the absurdity of such people. Also, The music in the beggining it reminds of a military march and later on it is like a chaos - like every war is actually a chaos - so it is reflected in the music also. This song actually calls for peace and shows the absurdity of war and dictators (people can say it's about Putin, but I find it relatable to any war or any dictator in anytime and any place in this world). 23 Reply
Well, it is about any war obsessed mad dictators but LET 3 members in interviews also in between the lines connected this song to current situation in Ukraine and with Putin!
The symbolic meaning of the text mama ŠĆ „Mama kupila traktora“ Russians call their country Mother Russia, so Mama means Russia. The tractor symbolizes Belarus (a tractor called Belorus is produced in Belarus, and President Lukashenko gave President Putin such a tractor for his birthday). So the sentence "Mom bought a tractor" means "Russia bought (or bribed) Belarus." "Mama ljubila morona" "Mom loved a moron" As Moron means idiot, the meaning is „Russia loves an idiot.“ ŠĆ is a letter in the Russian Cyrillic script, used for example in the name of the Nutcracker ballet ( Щелку́нчик, Ščelkunčik). "Mama ŠĆ" means "Mother Russia".
This is not my comment but of the person who introduced himself as penguin, I copied it only because it perfectly explains the point of the poem and I wish that as many people as possible read this and that they don't ask what Croatia is, this is all a parody against the war, I hope that the author of this comment will not be angry with me because he I am spreading it further, but not as my comment but his personal one penguin 7 hours ago My ŠČ! is a song by the rock-punk group Let 3, which won at Dora 2023 held on February 11, 2023 in Opatija. The song will therefore represent Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool. According to the authors of more than 100 reactions to the song published so far on UA-cam, the song is amazing - a spontaneous, organic and compact amalgam of metal-rock, children's rosary, punk, classical opera, psychedelic music, marching band, slet (mass games) music, with a concrete reminiscence of chaotic Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, with elements of pop and even dance music. It is already clear that it is the most original song of this year's Eurovision Song Contest, and one of the most original Eurovision songs in general. According to the comments of numerous listeners on UA-cam, it is an art song with a strong message, but also a parody. Flight 3 complemented the ingeniously composed music with great choreography and stage performances, so many commentators on UA-cam point out that it is immediately clear that this is an original masterpiece, which will undoubtedly be noticed and remain prominent in the annals of the Eurovision Song Contest. The words of the song are cryptic, and they mention the mom who bought a tractor, the mom who a moron, a small vile psychopath, armageddon-nona (grandmother), and they end-up with the line: "mom, I' I'm going to war". The meaning of the word "ŠČ", which is repeated after each verse, is particularly mysterious. The song is intentionally allusive (because Eurovision songs must not have any political message), and has a fluent meaning. Her interpretation is greatly helped by the fact that the main vocalist, Frlja, with make-up resembles Hitler from Chaplin's "The Great Dictator", but also wears a Stalin's mustache, and it is clear that this is a parody of all the "little vile psychopaths, crocodile psychopaths" who push humanity into nuclear war ("armageddon"), symbolized by missiles carried by a bald man with the word "Njinle" (an anagram of Lenin) written on his forehead, although he is actually dressed as Rasputin, which represents an additional transition of meaning and performance into the surreal and the counter-reasonable. The tractor mentioned at the beginning of the song probably refers to the tractor that Belarusian President Lukashenko bizarrely gave as a present to Russian President Putin for his 70th birthday, and which - given that Russia finances Belarus - Russia bought for itself. The word "mother" (which bought a tractor) therefore means Mother Russia, and it is also symbolized by the double voice, i.e. the letter ŠČ, for which there is a special sign in the Russian alphabet (Ŝ). "Mama ŠČ" therefore means Mother Russia, although the song is not anti-Russian, but anti-war, because it "trolls" i.e. mocks and/or ironizes (with make-up, costumes, choreography, words and music) all those (both Hitler and Stalin) who, for the sake of the pleasure of their own domination, turn the world into a private playground of war, the price of which must be paid by the "little man". The words "moron" and "psychopath" are therefore based on all those who start wars, as the co-author of Mrle confirmed in his interview on February 16 on Bosnian television, and not only on Putin, as stated in most media, although the allusion to him is perhaps clearer than others. The song immediately delighted the majority of the audience, and won overwhelmingly at Dora, although there are also those who react negatively to it, so it is clear that it does not leave anyone indifferent. This was obviously the intention of the authors, more than winning the competition.

My ŠČ! is a song by the rock-punk group Let 3, which won at Dora 2023 held on February 11, 2023 in Opatija.
