Opinion from Germany here: Actually after understanding the message and hearing it quite often now, this is my favorite this year (I also loved Norway). The Tractor they sing about was a gift for Putin from another Dictator. And the children on their shirts are themselves in younger ages. It is because the Russians supposedly stole Ukrainian children….to remember them. I never heard of that band before, but it is worth checking them here on UA-cam….quite interesting songs they have. That is something I love about Eurovision….sometimes I find artists I really like.
This, in my opinion, is the song of the contest. It was the most Eurovision song at the contest this year and it sends a good message that we stand together during the times. People going "politics have no place in Eurovision" need to understand that war has no place in Europe.
@@Jamie-xj7hc I still need to watch Beligium and Autria...I also had plans to watch Albania. Thanks you for the suggestions and for stopping by and commenting!!!
*Please like and subscribe* if you enjoyed (it really helps a lot).I actually rewatched this video after knowing more about the message and context...I appreciated it more after erasing my ignorance!
I kinda think politics has always been reflected in art and music, so I see no reason why this would be different...Even Shakespeare was political in ways...Literature, etc ... art is a way of expressing peoples feelings...and politics play a large role in how people feel
@@thevictorone this world is full of statements, protesting, and problems. Eurovision is four hours of joy and no need for propaganda. Btw usually Eurovision board banding songs with political statements. I’m watching Eurovision since i was a child and believe me it’s ruins the atmosphere. But ….. i guess some people think differently:)))))
@@Jtsar77 yes i think you are missing out on the purpose of artistic expression... but I wish you the best. Puff the Magic Dragon is a song that always fills me with joy if I don't want to live in the real world
@S T yes, not everyone agrees. This was fun to watch. Much more effort was made in this act than most of the others. I don't know why people would ban this or that. I could also argue that song like the winning one should not be allowed because it sounds the same as many other songs or because she won already once and has unfair advantage or or or... I can have many arguments. Everyone should be able to enjoy Eurovision and it seems a lot of people did enjoy this as well.

Much thanks to @Gea2222 for the suggestion. This was defiantly entertaining, and a bit shocking!!!!!
Not being liked by the jury but liked by the public vote is always a good sign
Their previous 4 entries didn't make it past the semi-finals, but this one did, so people liked it.
ooooo thank you very much for the info!!!!
