I have used liquid nails for attaching cabinets, mirrors and flooring. For repairs I wouldn't use it because it's shear strength max is 240 psi Carpenter glue shear strength is over 2,000 psi depending on the glue and material. The reason being, carpenter glue soaks into the wood much better knitting the 2 pieces together. Hope that helps
Very good. I suggest using GRK truss head screws. They are used to mount cabinets and are better than dry wall screws.
Another suggestion - To glue pieces of wood together I recommend liquid nails. It’s commonly used to glue floor boards down in the house

Have you any suggestions for fixing a sofa bed frame that has bent and won’t fold into close the sofa anymore?
I cut the metal at the bend, then span the area with L channel and bolt it to both sides. This should make it straight again.
