  • Porch and Floor enamel is a easily touched up paint system even years after initial application. Making it a economical choice for many homeowners.
Fortified with urethane to provide durability and a hard yet flexible enamel surface it can easily take on everyday life.
It's a common choice of Property Managers and used in apartment complexes and industrial buildings for this reason as well.
After a couple years if your porch and floor enamel on your stairs starts to look bad, it can typically be touched up , a simple cleaning and re-application of the stair faces by roller will usually make the system look top notch again.
In this video ExtraPrep Pro Painting Proprietor Anthony Ford talks about the process of touching up a existing Porch and Floor enamel system on a set of residential stairs leading into a basement.

Nice Job. Thanks for the advice. I think the big take-away here is to use porch and Floor Enamel and not regular wall or trim paint. My stairs are a lot rougher than the stairs you painted so I'm going to use a roller with a deeper pile on it to get into all the nooks and crannies. Another tip in case you don't want to spend extra time in the basement might be to paint every second stair on your first go around, then come back and paint the others - then do the same for the second coat as needed
