I absolutely love you two. Having a child doesn't make you a parent anymore than standing in the garage makes you a car. What makes you a parent is love, patience, consistency, hard work, commitment, and loads of sacrifices. You two are parents to more kids than you know. Everyday, you take some child on a nature walk, a trip to Disney or Universal through your videos. For some kids, that's the closest that they'll ever get to experience your many adventures. Trust me, you may not have conceived, but you've been a parent to many. Sometimes we don't understand why some things happen as they do, but in just the right time, it'll all make sense. You never know what the creator of the universe has in store for you by way of a child. You're a beautiful couple, and the best is yet to come; love you Tim and Jen. I hate to add to your anxiety Jen, but if I ever see you two at the park, I just have to get a pic of my favorite Disney UA-camrs.

It's really great when awesome people like Jenn share their struggles. It really helps you feel like you're not alone. I know it takes a lot of courage and strength to talk about it but I can tell you're a very strong women.
And now in May of 2019, Jenn is pregnant! Miracles do happen. God is good! Congrats you guys!!!

I have 2 children but I completely agree with this as well. Identify yourself within yourself, not whether or not you can have children. You are beautiful inside and out Jen!
I know you are trying to be encouraging but not wanting kids is 1000x different than wanting kids and not being able to have them. It's pointless for you to say "you don't need kids to be complete" because of course YOU don't feel incomplete; you are content because you never wanted kids. It's a heartbreaking situation that you will never understand. They can feel how they want to feel.

I am infertile. We have spent upwards of $20k on treatments that proved unsuccessful. I started crying while Jenn was talking because I know how it feels to feel like less of a person because my body has betrayed me and doesn't do what it's supposed to do. Even after accepting it... there will always be moments of grieving.
All I have to say is that you are not alone. *hugs*

My mom adopted me. She cant make a child but she is the best mom I could ever ask for.
Tim and Jen would make awsome parents. The traditional way is not the only way to have children.
My parents struggled to have kids for years. They tried ivf and it didn’t work the first time. The second time they got me! 10 months later my mum started having some weird symptoms and it turned out she was pregnant with my brother completely naturally! You never know what can happen
rosworms I too have spent too much money. 3 IVF/ICSI and we also adopted four frozen embryos. All together we have lost 7 babies. It hurts when people ask that question.... or I see pregnancy announcements or births of new babies. All I’ve ever dreamed of is to be a mom. Maybe one day I’ll get a surprise.

Guys, I know you'll get a ton of comments but I hope you're able to see mine. I've been watching your videos since the Corvair era, and what I've always enjoyed so much about your vlogs and what I respect so much about you is how you guys handle everything so gracefully, tactfully, and appropriately. Just honesty, no drama, no clickbaiting, none of the other stuff that has made me stop following so many other channels. I know how difficult these questions can be when you're constantly asked, especially the kids question (I'll spare you the long story but I am in a similar boat). I think people just ask because they recognize what wonderful people you are and how lucky any kid would be to have you as parents. Anyway, just continue to be the people that you are and share with us what you think is right and I'll always be here watching. :-)
ChiselMouse oh wow, is there a video of that? I am kind of new to the channel. My brother had a corsair when I was little and Tim always reminds me of my brother. So cool!

ChiselMouse been here since 2011 and couldn’t agree more with your comment! the way they have changed and adapted to suit their larger fanbase has been so graceful! i found this video to be really awesome in explaining why things have needed to change, and just give me peace of mind that everyone outside of the vlogs are doing okay! great to see people who have stayed around as long as me!

I like Tim more after the protective tone he took with that last question. I've never understood people that feel the need to ask more from content creators than what they upload to UA-cam. Kind compliments on a video or a civil disagreement on something in a video should suffice.
Beaunafide there is nothing wrong with asking questions, I personally don’t do it because I feel if it’s something a creator wants to share with us then they will. But I hate it when people get upset over questions or advice. The way I feel is if you don’t like or want to answer the question then don’t answer it. Same goes for advice if you don’t like it or want it don’t take it. It’s simple really.
Re: Kids. It makes me so mad seeing kid questions on ANYONES video. I don't care how much of your lives you do or don't share online. Still rude.
You guys are beautiful people, thank you for sharing as much of your lives as you do. You're one of my favorite channels on YT, even if it makes me super antsy to save up for another Florida trip.
I couldn't agree more, Brynne. I have CONSTANTLY defended Tim & Jenn against rude, inconsiderate people who kept asking them about kids. And what Tim's job is.
They give us so much. They don't owe us ANYTHING, and anyone who thinks otherwise is completely vapid.
FireCracker3240...same here. I'm child free and proudly declare I don't want children. But I have friends and relatives who can not have children and the question hurts and is intrusive.

I watched this after watching their birth vlog and it made me cry even more. They had no idea what the future held for them. None of us do.
Tim And Jen are probably one of the best youtubers I think I have seen. They don't actually do it to get big. They just do it for fun and they care very much about there viewers! I very much support the things they discussed in this video. I will always watch Tim and Jen for as long as they make videos!! They are very great people and I'm just so glad someone on UA-cam has a great platform that doesn't share there drama, hatrid, or negativity. Tim and Jen's videos make me so happy and if it weren't for them, I wouldn't even go to horror nights very year and I always tell myself, if I see them I must thank them for the positivity they have put in my life! They are just amazing people and also I'm definitely buying the tim and Jen merch lol. Im totally gonna wear it to horror nights!!!

Jen your so sweet and thank you for sharing that tidbit on children. My husband and I have been trying as well. We have been told that I am infertile and it hurts. I have had 7 miscarriage and the one daughter we did have passed away. The kid question hurts for me too and has been something that I have learned to be deal with. You two are so wonderful and truly watching your videos get me through some tough times in life. I just want to say thank you for sharing with us. You two definitely have a beautiful relationship. On another note I think that red bug you saw is a Cow Ant.

dsedgwick13 How do some people not believe in adoption? I'm adopted, and I've dealt with some pretty ignorant comments but never someone who didn't believe adoption should happen. I am so sorry for those people as they are truly ignorant.

I feel like Tim looks at Jen like he really loves her and it's honestly the cutest thing I've seen today.
The reason Tim sweats so much is because he's secretly a professional sweat model. It's been confirmed by him on Twitter 3 years ago. He needs all that sweat for his fabulous moist glow and flawless sweat lines.

Seems like there are many people here after the pregnancy announcement (myself included) but it's still worth saying that this doesn't change what she said and how it made her feel and others who also can't/don't want children. Just because they're pregnant doesn't mean its an invitation to start asking if they're going to try for another child or similar questions. We are all genuinely happy for them but remember not to say things to other childless/childfree people like "it happened to Jen it could happen to you too!".
That really vibrant orangey redish color bug that you guys saw is called a velvet ant, its nickname is the cow killer, it has the third most painful sting of all the insects.

Yeah, we call them Cow Ants here in So Alabama. the sting is terrible!
they are tough little guys too. We see them a lot in our area, but lucky for us never been stung/bitten.
I hate when people ask about having kids, because it's not a requirement to being a couple. I have friends, who are not interested in having kids, and when they tell people that, those people will interrogate them about it. I don't think it's a cool thing to ask, and honestly, not anyone else's business

It's honestly a really creepy question, too. "Tim, when are you going to insert your genitals into Jen's and make a baby???" My fiancé and I are SO TIRED of this question from people. I feel for Tim and Jen, their personal life is their business.

I agree. We just recently got married and the first thing people start asking about is children. I don't mind my close friends and family asking, but practical strangers ask this question without knowing your life/situation seems a little rude. And if you respond that you haven't made the decision wether to have kids or not, some treat you like the anti-Christ.
It is RUDE to ask about kids, EVEN on UA-cam. My family and I enjoy your videos. Keep up the hard work!!

I am 67 and have never had kids, in spite of 2 long marriages. Forty years ago everybody was expected to have kids! I got soo tired of the pressure. Children in the pool at the Y were really confused upon meeting a childless FREAK. i had hoped that less expectations were the norm today.
LindaLuxable I’m 40 next month with no kids, although that was more of a decision I made. I know more and more people are pushing kids off til later in life. I don’t feel the need to adhere to the social norms, thank god.

Oh heck you made this hormonal woman cry. Jen your searing honesty was truly heartbreaking but what I wanted to say is that Tim clearly loves the bones of you as the way he looked at you throughout your answer to the last question was so full of love as Phoebe in Friends would say he is your lobster. Me & my little family love watching you guys & this Vlog has taught our 12 year old a lesson in boundaries & what is acceptable questions to ask.

I agree with Tim, it's rude! Im 32 and I hate that people around me are always asking me when Im having kids and Im like none of your business! Someone did tell me that Im not a complete woman until I become a mother... what? Why? Pfff that question about kids should be prohibited! I wish it was common knowledge that its a mean and sometimes hurtful question!
Jen I totally understand where you're coming from with all your concern you've expressed in this video. One of my biggest annoyances in life is being 30+ myself and constantly getting asked when I'm having kids as well. I think the important thing (for me at least) is just to understand that everyone's priorities are different and just because being a mother is the most important thing to someone else doesn't make me less of a person because I am unable/unwilling to as well. You're both awesome people and I can understand why people want the both of you to be parents so badly, we need more awesome, grounded, caring people to become parents - but sometimes its just not in the cards for everyone.
It goes without saying that as a community we all appreciate you two so much and I want to thank you both for giving us something to look forward to each day. Its really important to a lot of us and I know the vast majority of us really appreciate it. It stinks that as your audience grows more and more "bad eggs" might join the bunch and make it harder to do what you both love to do but I'm sure you know the majority of us are here to support you both through your journey on UA-cam. I hope more people can respect your privacy and accept what you're willing to give us in each vlog.

Anyway, been married 8 years and don't have kids. I get this very annoying question from everyone... ALL.THE.TIME! I love the dynamic/energy/love/connection between you two! I agree maybe you should say how when are you going to get a dog (cat bird etc) after all you have a nice home it would complete your life youll regret it if you dont dogs bring so much joy most people have dogs etc etc blah blah you get the picture if you started questioning people like that btw i love kids and dogs but its a very personal choice ..personal!!!!

I just wanted to thank you guys for your input on the whole "are you having kids thing". As someone with PCOS, a chronic disorder, it has been really hard for me to accept the fact that children might not be in the cards in my future, despite only being 19. I hope I can come to peace with it as you guys have and despite it being very personal, I'm very glad that you shared it with us because you are not alone! Love you guys and thanks for keeping it so real with us ♥️
Sarah Marie I have pcos too - I'm 32 and am now controlling it relatively well, and am getting on fertility meds soon! Please don't stress about not being able to have kids...there are a lot of ways that can happen for you if that's what you want.
Sarah Marie I also have PCOS, I was diagnosed at 16 and I'm now 21, so I've come to terms with it. There are lots of things women with PCOS can do- Victoria Beckham has PCOS and she has four children- but I know it's tough.
Sarah, I have PCOS went thru IUI Intrauterine insemination am 36 years old and my son is turning 1 years old in October. There is hope.
My doctor told me at 16 that I have PCOS and I would have a hard time. Looking back, that was a messed up thing to say to a kid. While PCOS might make it difficult, it isn't always impossible. Luckily medical advances have come a long way and through a combination of planning and meds, I (at age 31) was able to get pregnant after trying for 6 months.
Sarah Marie Hi!! I have PCOS and several chronic conditions (EDS, POTS, ME, Etc) I was told I wasn't going to have kids, if I did conceive it would be really dangerous, my uterus would rupture and I die basically! I was pestered by people with the whole "when are you having kids, your getting old now, you better have kids soon"! No one even realises it's super rude!!
I was lucky I got on fertility meds, and had some fantastic doctors who helped me, and we had our first baby! Super happy, but people don't stop there, then it's "are you having another?" People don't quit!! We were lucky we went on to have 4 babies!! We did loose a baby too.
But because we had 4 kids people like to comment on that too!! "Wow you've got too many kids" "you should of bought a TV!" Really stupid stuff!! Don't know why but people like to comment on your life!!!

There aren't many UA-camrs (if any at all) that would be as open, honest, and candid about very tough, personal questions. you guys are with out a doubt the most genuine, good-hearted people I've ever seen on UA-cam. Standing ovation from this guy.
People should never ask anyone about having kids. That is a very personal subject and should be avoided. You two should live your life the way you want to. Thank you for sharing all the great videos of the parks and other cool places.

I can not have children and I know how you feel. I do not go to family reunions because of certain family members keep asking why we do not have children. They do not understand how it hurts deep inside of my heart.

Your honesty about children truly made me cry. I just wanted you to know that you may not have your own children but you have hundreds of children who watch you and love you. I know of 5 for sure!😉 They hope to meet you in the park as much as any character!

I understand where you're coming from on the kids question. I lost two pregnancies & while I was grieving those losses I had people asking me how far along I was or when I was going to have kids. It's rude to ask a woman if she's pregnant or when she's going to have children. We women have many ways of being maternal -- fur babies, nieces, nephews, friends kids, as teachers or nannies. You are complete. I am complete. Keep making those awesome videos. Celebrate your love & enjoy life.
People should know better, but they don't -- especially older women. But you should be able to hang your hat on the fact that no one ever asks surly, bitter and/or depressing couples why they don't have kids. So maybe from now on you can take this incredibly insensitive question for what it truly is... a compliment. ... Regardless, thanks for the upload! 😃
Watching this video in 2021 knowing what we all know now, made me cry a little. Both from sadness for past Tim and Jenn but also for excitement and happiness from knowing something that past Tim and Jenn don’t know yet. What a monumentally happy year 2019 will be for them. They deserve to be happy.
My wife and I like to live vicariously through you guys. We both have cronic conditions that prevent us from leaving the house often. We are about the same age as y'all, and cannot have kids as well. Keep the videos rolling! We are hoping to make it to Halloween Horror nights this year, so maybe we will run into you guys!

Thank you so much for addressing the "Baby" questions. As a couple who lost 3 babies in the early part of our days together. We would often put on a brave face and then cry afterwards. People just do not understand, I don't think they mean to say things that hurt, but now thanks to your being honest about it, they can learn. Keep on being who you guys are, the world needs more people like you. We love you guys!

I'm a few days late to commenting. I just want to say that it's awesome and quite bold of you both to be willing to answer the hard and personal questions. You are under no obligation to answer them at all and owe those answers to no one. It's hard to open up about some things and I feel you on the anxiety, Jenn. I think you're a really awesome lady and I admire the way you carry yourself (what of your life I do get to see). I really appreciate that you two take regular time to interact with your base (again something you have no obligation to do).

Thank you for being as honest as you could be. I have only been watching for a few months now, and had wondered about children aspect of your lives, but only in or for the aspect that you would make amazing parents. I totally get you would not share all the painful and personal details, but had only wanted to know because you are both amazing people, and you share so much of your lives, it was always just the missing piece. I am really glad you made peace with your situation, as my husband and I had to do the same, and it is not easy. Well done to the two of you, and thank you for everything you do for us :)
Since subscribing to your channel all I can say is I've enjoyed every minute of them How brave of you both to answer the question of children. That isn't pity but admiration.
