Was glad I was able to show my support for performers I’ve seen for decades on their final day . It’s not JUST about the temporary closure , it’s much deeper than that . The tears from college program students last night on Main Street drove that point home
I've never visited any of these parks, but I cried at the end of this video. Thank you for sharing it with us, Adam.
You actually cried? Really!
Thank you for what you do.
Is Disney still going to pay those CMs whom are out of work for the com8ng weeks?
@@gc4644 that's the question to be asked with regards to MANY businesses, here, and around the world
*"Park's closed. Moose out front should have told you."*
Hahaaaa..nice
Praise Marty moose
🤣
Nice.
haha!
I’m glad we can look back and say what a sad and strange time it was
It's amazing how emotional I get when I hear Mariachi music.my Stepdad was a musician and played for Disney Land in the 90s we used to get in for free.i miss him
asamusicdude sorry
Awww so to hear that. But Don't let the music get you down, let it remind you the legacy he left behind. 🌺
The Griswolds finally arrived at WDW this morning....”First ones here”!
Ahhahah, thanks I NEEDED this 😆
Part of the generation that actually understood that reference. XD
@@cyberwolf_1013 what a time to be alive
This is a comment I will happily like.
Love it man.
Forgot about that - I LOVE IT !!
It’s been four years now and I feel like Disney haven’t been the same after Covid
The best thing about Disney closing.....The 70K employees will still receive their paychecks even when the park is closed. That's amazing! 👏
Now will be the time to sand and paint, and/or move forward with renovation projects that might take longer executing with an open park
The only thing is for how long. Disney will pay them for only a couple of weeks. After that. Who knows...
I'm honestly surprised Disney would even pay them for two weeks.
Disney has the money.
They own so much of the entertainment industry.
They can afford to pay their employees
They took so many things away which made these parks so wonderful.
I see the social distancing went well.
Yeah, a bit cringey. But oh well.
lol social distancing. What a joke
Exceptional work, Adam. Love those monorail shots! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Thank you so much for your efforts to catch up with all the performers at EPCOT and letting us experience MK right down to the last cricket squeak in the parking lot. Safe travels. Thank you.👍🏼🤘🏼😎
Thank you, Adam, for giving one last showcase to all the incredible performers. They will be missed.
Thank you tons, Adam. Stay healthy. On that note... Josh is AWESOME. I love that he's out and about putting himself into the parks and interacting with guests. He really seems to care.
i spoke to a woman who was so confused why everyone was saying "DCP" which stands form Disney College Program and that's because Disney let go thousands of college students and gave the 4 days to pack up and leave! in such short notice their dreams were broken! She thought there were only 200-300 DCP cast members but there are literally enough to run all 4 parks alone! It is crazy how it all happened so soon!
Disney is in a financial position to be doing way more for their college program participants, interns, and employees right now, but they're not. Unless the unions get tougher or there is public outcry loud enough to threaten their bottom line in a significant way, they will only do the bare minimum.
Disney has been underpaying employees and cutting benefit programs for years, but no one wants to accept the reality of the situation because folks have such a strong emotional attachment to Disney.
@@GlorianaLovejoy i totally agree they did not handle this situation in a good way and all the international people have 2 days now to find a way home its ridiculous!
@@GlorianaLovejoy they have to leave due to health crisis. And Disney have actually been paying above the minimum wage. You are factually incorrect.
@@Taydar - "Above Minimum Wage" doesn't mean "Living Wage" and the living costs in Orlando & Anaheim are extremely high. Disney is able to pay them a living wage, they just don't. They also give a lot of workers just under 40hrs a week to avoid having to shell out for benefits.
And I said they could be doing more for the interns & college kids sent home, and they could be. They could guarantee furure placement opportunities, offer their (not currently free) employee clinic services free of charge because of the extreme circumstances, but they're not. It would be expensive, sure, but nothing Disney couldn't afford.
Have you seen how Disney workers live in Orlando, and what Disney has done to the surrounding area in the past 20yrs? I have lived here 33+yrs, and Disney's impact since Eisner has been awful for the working class in Orlando/Kissimmee.
@@GlorianaLovejoy that's not Disney's problem. That is a Florida state problem. Disney has saved the working class in Florida. You cant blame the company for the high tax rate if they are more than meeting legal minimum wage. The living wage concept is a myth that doesn't exist.
Secondly interns aren't employees and it would be dangerous for them to remain in the dorms. If they can't do their internship they need to be sent home. It's the right thing to do.
It was definitely emotional. Stay safe, everyone!
Stay safe josh and Jenna
I'm in the UK fingers crossed let's find a cure and be safe everyone
♥️♥️
@Mr. Snrub I think he was just referring to people in general. If he was physically present with a large crowd of people gathered close together an he said that then, ta da... irony.
We “best removed” ourselves from the parks... And I’m really sad for the performers and CPs. A lot of changes going on.
A day to remember for sure
Hello, Greg.
Hopefully that wont get cancelled in June!
If you only knew of the real people who have suffered much worse than only losing work for a little while. Stay home people.
Somber day but thanks for continuing to keep the content light hearted. People are scared s**tless out there. Nice to have a video that's not doom and gloom like everything else
L8 APEX Adam is truly a breath of fresh air on UA-cam...
CDC says 2 months no more than 50 people in a group. Don't think Disney will be opening back up any time soon..........
Good!
disney will survive it.. millions of small businesses wont.. expect a recession with millions of unemployed.. the real crisis isnt the virus.. its the economic aftermath
When they do , I'm sure that they'll let people know how much they missed them... with a nice little price increase.
@@mats7492 Agreed, I work for a Hotel company and I'm nervous I may be laid off if this keeps going
js Adventures they recommend that...quit spreading fake facts
It’s certainly going to be an interesting few weeks....
....months
With markets acting like they are, it could be years before we get back to "normal" 😕. Praying it wont be as bad as the 30s...
Keegan Beyer Yep. CDC recommends no social gatherings over 50 people for 8 weeks; that puts us in May so yes... months. Yikes
Cameron Uhri lets hope not *fingers crossed* 🤞
2 years. For a vaccine approved for the market. Quarantine for a year or two sounds insane.
AT LEAST 2 WEEKS is the thing....it will be longer. I would be very surprised if the parks are open in April. Time will tell.
That seems to be the rumor
8 weeks
& more $
Well it depends on what they're going by if they're going by the numbersfor this virus I mean it's going to continue to spread we all know that so if they're going by those numbers I think the parks will be closed at least till summer because that's normally when flu season starts to go down now this is by the numbers but if they're not going by the numbers than I'd like to know what they're going by are they just going by what the governor saying? because if they think they're going to knock out this virus just by shutting things down for 2 weeks that ain't going to work.
maybe in may
I didn’t realize how much hasn’t returned until I watched this today. So emotional
Thank you. I always enjoyed the Epcot entertainment and it breaks my heart they were all terminated, if rumors be true. I hope they return.
The one thing I loved about Epcot was the performances of the entertainers from the different countries !
I was holding it together until you got to the drummers... ugly cried bad... LOL.. thanks Adam for the capture!
The same with me too. The drummers were my favorite performers in the World Showcase.
Thank you for sharing this bittersweet day. I’m signed up for the half during Star Wars Rival Run next month. Praying I will go to my happy place again soon! Stay safe and be well!
I have lived in Orlando all my life, my mom was an original cast member and I have been thousands of times.. I would never have imagined the parks would be closed for a day, much less weeks.. Thanks for sharing the day with us..
My Disney College Program daughter met you in line at BTMR last night. She said you were so nice. ❤️ Thank you for your kindness on a very hard day for her. 😊
Really sad what EPCOT has done with letting the entertainment that was the heart of EPCOT go.
Adam, be safe and stay healthy. We need you to be there when the doors open. Great video today, made me cry. 😭
Made you cry? I havnt been to epcot in 15 years, im the one who should be crying, but id rather invest my money for the future.
totally dope drumming! the human spirit will win through in the end! Thanks for bringing this to us Adam - we are happy again!!! :-D
The day the Earth Stood Still , thank you for all your vlogs 🌍
Social distancing. Adam, get back on the road. Your roadside videos are the best.
I’m glad you were able to show your support for the long time performers. Thank you for doing this. Sad that the performers who have been there for such a long time entertaining everyone and bringing joy to so many people over the years. Be safe. Stay well.
For someone who has never been to a Disney property it is rather difficult to feel too sorry for someone that has been there hundreds of times !
Disney is actually getting slammed right now for Having a huge "Farewell Party" at Disneyworld.
Yeah, but I don't really know how you could have any theme park open and have any meaningful "social distancing", whether you called it a party or not. A lot of the crowd there were just the normal spring breakers who would have been there anyway, as well as CP CM's who wanted to see it one last time before they returned to wherever they are from. I think they would have been slammed if they just tried to pretend like it was an ordinary day too.
CORONAHOAX
All Disney did was have the characters and cast members at the front gate to wave goodbye to guests. They did the same exact thing at Disneyland (but of course nobody cared, and everybody called it “magical” then). The entire park was the same way as it was at that little goodbye thing anyways for the parades and fireworks; let them add a little light. I get the whole social distancing thing, but Disney can only control so much of that until they close, and they can’t demand every person walk within six feet of each other. I don’t understand why people slam that one thing, when the lack of “social distancing” is almost identical everywhere else too.
@veracity on please do tel us which part is a hoax. The sick people or the dead people?
@@MsPinkwolf .have you ever noticed all the bullet riddled bodies from all the mass shooting never bleed? I did + millions of others who pay attention to detail.
Adam, the look in your eyes at this video screen shot says it all. 😢
It's bizarre to go back and watch this video today when they're finally announcing that characters will be able to hug guests again.

Thank you for letting us tag along with you on this trip (and all your trips) to Disney. It was great to be able to see the final performances of these groups.
This is really sad for these people who've been performing at Disney for DECADES are some are leaving permanently :>\
Thank you Adam. I cancelled my trip to Florida today so this was a very emotional vlog for me to watch. Great to see Brock out and about again and looking well. Hopefully my trip will be booked again very soon when everything is back to normal and up and running. So sad to say goodbye to the drummers in Japan they have been a big part of my Disney experience since my first trip back in the nineties. Thanks again Adam great stuff!! Keep safe!! :)

😭 I wanted to go in July, damnit. That was plenty of mths & now this 💔... ?! I feel more like we're gonna be attacked by ppl more than an upper respiratory infection. Or wever that medical explanation said.
I had reservations for March 14-16 at a Value Resort and rescheduled for December. It’s very sad but grateful for all that I do have.
It’s so crazy to go back and watch this video. A) you’ve lost some weight and B) I can’t believe how much we didn’t know our lives were going to change in a few short days from when this originally posted.
Thank you Adam, for getting this all on film! All of us Jungle Cruise Skippers here in Florida had a huge celebration that night we closed. I wish I had thought to film, but the pictures will do just fine! I just can't wait to hop back on my bote and hit the river again!

Thanks ATW. Misted up a tad as well. Car accident took Disney out of my life 2.5 years ago. Lots of feels, Grateful for people like you sharing passion for our Parks, grateful they are still there. Next chapter.
55 now, have lots of memories of my family taking me there from 7 to 13 years old. The old man was a mean drunk, so it was always a mixed bag. One year stayed at Fort Wilderness in a Winnebago and got very sick 104 temp. Was rushed to the hospital and even though I was 12, I remember being in fear of what the hospital bill was going to cost my father because we were Canadian. The night I felt better he took me to a make your own pizza restaurant inside the park and started ordering many many pitchers of beer. They finally asked him to leave and go back to our Winnebago. In trying to find our Winnebago he got lost and used me as a crutch so he wouldn't pass out. We finally found our site but not before he vomited all over me. If I smell American cigarettes today it always reminds me of Disney World.
Randy got dam Now there’s a story. I love Gen X. Just keep going...
If there’s one thing I know it’s that most people won’t cancel trips, just reschedule. This tells me 2 things: Buy Disney stock because their bottom line will make it up, and stay the hell away this year because the make up crowds are going to suck.
I'd like to thank you for saying something sensible. There's a lot of doomsday whack jobs in the comments and it was bumming me out. And yeah, I think you're right with that assessment.
I'm buying cruise line stocks. It probably won't pay off this year, but by 2021 or 2022 I'll probably quadruple, if not quintuple my investment.
I really hope this is the case.

Nice vlog Adam but also kind of sad. Will miss seeing your Disney vlogs but I know there will be a lot more you will show us in the upcoming days, weeks or months. Stay safe Adam.
I really miss the Off Kilter band that played for years over near Canada.
Guy Conklin all of Epcot’s street performers are absolutely stellar honestly the best part about the parks today
I wish they were still at Epcot, but they're a real band outside of Disney also. They play around Orlando often. They just played a St. Patrick's Day party last Friday right down the street from my house.
Wait no, why! They can’t take these staples away from Epcot 😭😭😭😭😭
Love you Adam, I’m feeling every emotion that you are feeling. Epcot means everything to me and thank you for filming this video today with every groups final performance.
Thank you Adam, you documented this very well, very touching. You said a lot with this video with very little words.

Hey Woo credit where credit is due. I’m not a fan of your park videos. A genre best left to less skilled providers in my opinion. But when you told the Performers, that you enjoyed their show. You could see the emotion in their faces, you spoke for many Of the guest that would never approach them after the performance. Thank you for that, Spreading international goodwill.
My oldest son is an actor there ,playing many characters, and future daughter in-law is Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and The Little Mermaid.
No one is those characters besides the character. Your daughter in law may drive them to work or be really good friends, but they aren't them. If these people are actually CM they should have told you about character integrity.

I'm old and I've seen some stuff in my life, and what we're going through now has the most impact on every one of us I've ever experienced. But we will persevere. It's in our nature. If there was ever a time we need a good ATW road trip, this is it. But I understand you have to look after your own health too. I'm doing the self-quarantine thing, but that extends to my car and anywhere I want to go. I urge everyone to do this, to help fight depression and get out in your world. Pack a sack lunch like we did 50 years ago, get out in the fresh air and sunshine. I live in Colorado so it's easy, but wherever you live, you can still find beauty in a sunrise, sunset, farmers working the fields for spring, wildlife, isolation, and out-of-the-way places you've always wanted to visit. The worst thing you can do is sit at home living in fear, inundated with gloom and doom.
The trams at the end were eerie and sad. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you soo much for showing how awesome Detroit is!! Let’s be responsible and watch this video again in a couple weeks. Plz support local performer/business via available services/patreaon.

it's so sad😢 to see it close.I have been going to all the Disney parks every year but I know that one day it will be open and it will be GREAT than ever. I Love you Mickey 😌
Thanks Adam for the very touching moments that are well shared. Will be watching for news of the parks reopening.
I used to love Disneyworld and Disneyland until I last attended one of their hotels and parks at Disneyworld. The greed of the owners probably have Walt turning in his grave along with the filthy hotel room I stayed in and the unrealistic prices for the parks and food. The food court I got food at was dirty and not taken care of with food and soda on the floor. Tables not wiped down was just plain disgusting. This was one reason Walt opened Disneyland back in the 50's as a lot of amusement parks were not kept up. No big loss at all now that they are loosing money.
Is this what it’s gonna be like when the world ends?
Who cares about that fake, plastic childish unreal world of Disney?!‼️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️🤷♂️ Now please go back to the real world. Dont leave where youre good in: back to the weathered, old buildings and old fashioned, simple emotions. Please? Since I read ‘Disney’ I did not follow ANY of your video’s, although before this (2 weeks ago?) I followed ALL of your nice video’s. Without shouting, entertainment and superficial amusement.
Wow....just remembering how the news that Disney was closing and sports leagues stopping play made the seriousness of this new Corona thing really set in back in March of 2020. You blog about historic things but here you were part of a Really Historic Moment. Just incredible ATW.

Sad about the performers leaving. They just about shut down the entire state starting tonight in New Jersey.
Sorry folks, the park is closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya.......
Two weeks times 4. This epidemic wave in the US will still be up swinging in two weeks. I bet it won’t open till June, and then with limitations like 50% reduced capacity to help with social distancing in the Park. Hope I’m wrong.
Kudos to you for keeping your head about it, though... most folks in the comments suggesting the same are doing it with a pompous or panicked tone and being generally kinda nasty about it. You could be right, begging your pardon but I hope you're not... but thank you for phrasing it in a sensible manner. I worry that all the doomsday talk will scare people more...
JW222..... I think your thoughts and mine are very similar on how long the parks will stay closed, and how long we’re going to be dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Also like you, I hope I’m wrong about how long our nation will have to continue with the social distancing and all the self-quarantining, layoffs, illnesses and all that, but at this point all we can really do is be encouraging and respectful towards one another, until the worst of the storm is behind us. Also, if someone happens to be praying kind of person (and before anyone says some kind of smart Alec comments about religion or the lack there of.....that’s all right if people have faith in a higher power and believe in prayer. I’m not here to argue religion or atheism... if someone believes that prayer helps, then I’m all for it helping humanity.) I would definitely encourage-and I personally- and would welcome it. We need to be good to one another, especially in hard times.
Much love and many blessings to you all. 💜
