Hi. My family has been in the horse racing business for many years. That statue at the front, the horse is Northern Dancer and the jockey is Bill Hardtack. The derby winner in 1964.

Saratoga Springs used to be a resort called the Disney Institute. They had various educations classes. They closed in 2003 when Disney found out people won't want to learn stuff while on a vacation. I took a photography class. It was neat.

If I may offer a correction, Saratoga Springs is entirely a DVC resort, not a moderate. This DVC just happens to have rooms that open outside, just like Old Key West. Also, the 7 on the horse and jockey statue represents that Saratoga Springs in the 7th DVC resort.

Born and raised in Saratoga Springs, NY. It looks pretty much like that throughout our entire downtown, lots of history and beautiful architecture. If anyone gets the chance you should visit, currently our restaurant industry is booming so if you’re a foodie this place is for you.

Staying at the treehouses was both awesome and crappy for a couple reasons you kind of mentioned already here.
    1. The property is HUGE! If one is coming back from a park, you literally have to stop at 4 bus stops through the whole property and then get off that park bus only to wait for a bus from the main part of the resort to the treehouse area. Walking tough when exhausted, disabled, or with kids.
    2. There are only two restaurants. That includes not having a place to fill cups in the treehouse area. Meaning if you want pop or something after the park you have to then get back on that bus or walk when exhausted.
The treehouses really are a fun and unique experience that I'm glad we had, but I probably won't do it again without knowing if changes have been made.
It is possible that these things have changed since we stayed, but they were tough to deal with for some of our group and thus we stayed at Beach club villas instead this last time! Amazing experience!

I love how full of wonder you and your wife are about Disney. No matter how many times you go, you're excited and upbeat, and it's great to see. Too many people nowadays are bitter and jaded when they go to Disney, like they've forgotten it's THE HAPPIEST PLACE IN THE WORLD!

The buffalo chicken dip at Turf Club is Awesome! We've stayed at Saratoga Springs a few times now. We had a couple of bad bus experiences but it was just waiting ages for a bus to come for the park we wanted. There were several bus stops in walking distance to our room so we walked to the last stop before the bus heads to the parks to avoid going all the way around. Love your Resort tours 😀👍🏻

  • @tumprgt

Our family of 6 stayed their this past Christmas (2016). We stayed in Congress Park in a villa just to the right of the bus stop you walked by. The villa was fantastic, very clean and quiet beyond belief. I loved the proximity to Disney Springs and just how quiet and peaceful it was.
With that, we had concerns with the limited dining at the resort. Our biggest complaint was the buses. With the route the single bus takes and Congress being the second to last stop, they were always fairly full and more than once our party had to split as we had two people on scooters.
I would stay there again! Now that I know what to expect, I can plan everything around it all.

Having my family being DVC members since 2000 we stayed at this resort almost overtime we go to disney. It's a beautiful place and the rooms are really nice. I have stayed at the room that are 2 stories and it honestly does not feel like a hotel anymore. It's like your own little house. Having a large living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry closet, and tons of bedrooms. It's my favorite resort, so peaceful and close to disney springs and epcot. They always say "welcome home" and it truly does feel like home.

Saratoga Springs is actually the only Disney resort I've ever stayed in. It was amazing! We had a standard room, there was a bedroom with a king size bed, a living room with a pullout couch, a full kitchen, a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub, and a washer/dryer set all in the standard room. I actually loved how big the resort was. It was always nice and quiet because of it. Taking the busses into the parks wasn't a problem either because they have bus stops all throughout the resort so you never have to walk far to get a bus. I would love to go back again, but I also want to try out some other resorts as well. I would highly recommended Saratoga Springs Resort. Great video as always!

Food and wine at epcot-amazing. loved the patagonian beef and the thailand curry. saw all the decor for HHN and disney not so scary and they look really good. One more week to go now. If i dont see yourself and jen around the parks, i just want to say thank you, for the last year and a half we have been watching; leading up to our disney holiday. iv always enjoyed watching your vlogs, (and we have done some of the things you have given tips on) and will be going back to saratoga springs hopefully in 4 years time.

Hi Tim, we are DVC Members and have stayed there several times. One of our favorites!
The two story rooms are 3 Bed grand villas and they are beautifully done. The one and two bedrooms are great to. We stayed at a Studio this year at the Springs Area and it had nice amenities and it was very clean! The turf club is perfect for a date night! Quiet! The main area with the main pool is kinda busy with lots of kids. The paddock area is a little quieter. The backstretch and Springs area are our favorite. Backstretch has a small pool and a quick service area at the pool. The Springs has a small pool area with no food area, but it's perfect for a short walk to Disney Springs as you saw! Great job with the videos Tracker... we love them.

Tim, I've become a fan of you and your lovely better half Jenn over the past few months so thanks a lot and please keep up the awesome work. Your videos are amazing and (I saw some of your OLD vlogs) you've come a super long way since you first started!
I haven't been to Disneyland California since my teenage years in the '80s and NEVER to WDW so I'm living vicariously through you and the other great Disney vloggers on YT.
One of these days you should do a tour of that hotel tower (or any of the non-Disney Disney Springs hotels). In my understanding, they are not "Disney"-Disney hotels but seem to have adopted some elements to give guests a Disney-like experience at an apparently far more reasonable cost than the actual company-owned "on property" resorts. I wonder if people find them a better option for a WDW trip on a semi-tight budget.

You get anytime fast passes if you attend a DVC tour. They work for almost everything with the exception of the new pandora attractions. DVC members also get to book a trip 11 months out, they also get to book fast passes on line 60 days out, discounts on merchandise, and access to member only lounge in Epcot. Bunch of other things as well. Great video!

28:20 As an ex DVC member Saratoga Springs was our "home" resort and we stayed there a few times. While it is a large resort, Disney buses served all areas (Like The Paddock, The Springs and The Concourse) and the main hub was quite central.
Being at "the springs" was a definite advantage as it gave you easy walking to the water transport to Disney Springs via boats. The bridge is a later addition.
The three story rooms are actually two story "Grand villas" with either a one or two bed underneath. All rooms had a kitchen, laundry etc etc. Was a lovely place to stay and lots of hidden Mickey's. BTW the Mickey in the window is an information sticker about why the window doesn't open fully.

Hey, Bluescity I just got back after staying there. we were staying in the Paddock, The Artists Pallet is a bit limited. But the Paddock grill is essentially a 3rd dining location. Also, most of the hotel beside maybe Grandstand which would probably require the bus or boat can make it to Disney Springs within 15 minutes so despite seemingly limited options at first glance you can usually find something you would like. Hope this helps, Ben

There's also a spa by Artist Palette, which was fabulously diverse and handy. We got an awesome family suite need mid property near a pool I don't think you found. But we loved the main pool. The room was INCREDIBLE! Busing was kind of a drag. The boat was limited to Springs but fun.

Saratoga is my DVC home and we love that we very rarely get shut out no matter that time of year. Our last stay was thanksgiving week 2016 in Congress park area, now the “preferred rooms” because of how close you are to DS. Our balcony over looked the water and had a perfect view of the Christmas drone show. The resort has internal buses to take you to the carriage houses every 15 minutes. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus or boat out of resort. The main pool bar and pool area is awesome! Lots of activities and they have a wonderful spa! My friend and her family stayed in the tree house and said it was amazing. Only complaint was the number of busses and boats were limited and they had long waits. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Tim: enjoying your resort reviews. You really need to take a tour of DVC. You need to understand how it works and the different rooms. You can pay cash and stay at any DVC resort based on availability. So Saratoga is a DVC resort that you can stay there. Most do not stay for cash because it is expensive. All DVC resorts are considered deluxe. You also need to see what the different room sizes are. The large window you saw was a Grand Villa. It sleeps 12!. Three sizes of rooms that have full kitchens and washers and dryers. Please check it out. You will then understand what you looking at when you do the DVC resorts!. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your videos!

I just stayed at Saratoga for a week and we did a DVC tour at the preview center. They gave us a light breakfast (coffee, juice, & pastries), three extra "multiple experience" fastpasses, a free ride to wherever we wanted to go on WDW property, and ice cream sundaes at their on-site ice cream parlor. I am considering buying into DVC so the experience was informative and extra worth it given the incentives to sign up for a DVC tour. LOVE the video! So lovely to remember a great vacation through watching this video.

This is one of the Deluxe Villa Resorts, not a moderate one. I really like this resort. I've stayed here twice. It's close to all the parks (except AK) and you're able to walk right over to Disney Springs. I totally recommend this resort if you DON'T have children. Sure it has a couple cool pools, but overall, it's not exactly kid friendly. The Springs is the name of that area of the resort. There's also Congress Park, The Carousel, The Paddock, and The Grandstand. The resort really is HUGE.

Hi Tim, stayed at Saratoga last year, and heading back there this week 😊 Clearly we loved it. There is an internal shuttle that just goes around the resort, which is frequent & easy to use. Buses to parks are also frequent, busy obviously, at peak times, but there was always a cast member supervising at these times and calling extra buses where necessary. The Artist's Pallet was great, lots of fresh choices, and the Turf Bar super. We didn't have any problems with queuing or reservations. We were near the Carriage House which was really convenient. The River Taxi leaves from just behind where you were standing in the lounge area, and takes about 5 minutes to get to Disney Springs. There are studios & villas on property. Thoroughly enjoyed this resort, can't wait to get back. Oh, and the gym & Spa are awesome 😊 (Not that I used the gym 😂 but I had a look on a Spa day 😉)

I had stayed at Saratoga this August. It was very quiet and relaxing very friendly environment. The quick service was great. The buses moved along at a good pace and it also had internal buses so you can travel between pools and different parts of Saratoga. I liked it better than Kidani

The one bedroom suites we have stayed in have small stacked washer and dyers, kitchens and jacuzzi tubs. There are also rooms that are just nice rooms for four. They serve as the second bedroom if you need a two bedroom suite. They would need the pubic laundry you saw and no kitchen. This is a nice resort super close to Disney Springs, but it is small. We prefer old key West. Great tour!

This is the only Disney resort I've ever stayed at. Some family friends invited us one year... like 2009. It was so nice seeing it again. Like a step back into memory land. 😊

Huge resort but it's nice if you don't have park tickets everyday of your trip! You can spend an entire day just checking out the resort & all it has to offer. Loved the rooms too!!

Stayed at Saratoga Springs in March of 2016 and loved it! Yes, it is a massive resort, which was a bit frustrating when trying to find the location of our building at first, but other than that it was great! My friends and I went on a night mission to all the pools around the resort because some of them are open 24 hours so that was super fun! The view of Disney Springs is beautiful during sunset and at night with all the lights and being able to take the boat over there is so nice. "The Springs" is the name of one of the areas in the resort and all of those buildings are then called "The Springs" with numbers so then you know what building you are in. We stayed in "The Grandstand" area over by the Treehouse villas. My family are Vacation Club members and since the resort is so massive, it looks like there are almost always rooms available, even at busy times, so we've always said if we were going to make a last minute trip that rooms would probably be available there!

I loved having our honeymoon here. We had a one bedroom unit which was fantastic. It had a lounge area and full kitchen, two bathrooms and a massive bedroom. Was very impressed. We stayed in Congress park so was a very easy walk to Disney springs and enjoyed the quiet pool. Would have been good if it had a drink station closer than the main pool area as we had the dining plan so had refillable drinks included, but that was the only issue with it

    Hi all
We stayed as a family here last year.
Asked for and got to stay in the Congess block which has great views out to Disney Springs .Also is just a short 5 min walk there in the evening for dining. We had a hire car so parked in the blocks own car park. With being on the Disney dining plan we used the Artists pallet for breakfast which was nice. A lovely touch is on entering the site by car ,your band is scanned by Gateman and you are ' welcomed home ' by name.
We had a single villa which comes with full clothes washing facilities ,and is nicely fitted out.
Just a short stroll away is a pool area which was always quiet and felt very nice.
Going back this year and can not wait.
Hope this helps with anyones planning.

As a NYer and someone who worked at the Saratoga Race track, the styling and theming is on spot. The trumpet call was Call to Post (iirc) which is played before a race.

I have stayed at Saratoga Springs! We stayed in a studio room in the main part of the resort (closest to where you check in). The food court was not the greatest. We found the resort to be quiet at all times and we even had a corner room on the first floor!! Though the resort is ginormous, walking to Disney Springs was super convenient! Overall, a beautiful and relaxing resort!

The performance hall is basically a small auditorium literally for performances haha. My little sister performed in a chorus competition in that hall, and that was my first year visiting Disney World! Thanks for doing these tours (and all y'alls videos), I constantly have the Disney planning bug, and when I'm not able to go (next trip is sept. 2018!), these help placate that itch!

I went to look around Saratoga springs when I was there in July and I totally agree it is massive. I did learn however, that it could be easier to get to a park or even back to Disney springs by taking the Saratoga springs buses. They are generally less crowded. I did that a few times and it’s just nice to sit down instead of standing on a crowded bus.

Stayed there twice. Both times in Congress Park. If you know the short cuts, the walk to the main building for quick service is not too bad and the food is really good. I loved the flatbread pizza. Being it's far away, we always buy some items,English muffins, butter, milk, extra coffee, water, for the room for breakfast, for late night snacks. Turf club dinner is awesome, we ate there several times, always good, always busy. The walk to Disney springs is quick and easy, went there many nights during our stay. The only drawback for us was the buses. I hate the buses but that's true no matter where I stay. Congress park is one of the first pick ups so you are more likely to get a seat on the way to the park, but you are last to be let off. That being said, during our 5 days of park tickets, I got a seat twice. Including to and from the parks. They definitely need more buses to service this hotel. If standing on the bus is not your thing, take a cab or go at off times. I was even tempted to try the Minnie van, but they are not yet servicing this hotel.

This whole resort is theme more after the old fashioned and more classy Saratoga springs hundreds of years before it became a tourist trap. This style of architecture is still seen in the race track since it’s over a hundred years old. I go up to the real Saratoga springs a lot during the summer , and watching the horse races is extremely exciting especially if you are right next the fence.

When we go to Disney we stay at Saratoga springs and I love it! Last year we went for Christmas and we got on one of the buses and it was filled with people and all the people on the bus were singing Christmas songs!❤️ I love what Disney does to people😂💖🐭 the artists palette was my fav place to eat breakfast because I loved the pastries but we would always go to Disney springs for dinner😋

Hi Tim! We stayed at Saratoga Springs and it was amazing! We used our timeshare to trade into the resort and it was the best decision we could have made. The rooms are great! We stayed in a one bedroom, which sleeps 4, with a full kitchen. The buses ran regularly and the convenience to Disney Springs was very nice. Only ate in the quick serve restaurant for breakfast each day. I would HIGHLY recommend the resort. It is large, so if you forgot something in your room you may have to walk a bit, but it allows for a nice quiet retreat. When we go back we will most likely stay there again. If we do we welcome you to come and film our room for your vlog. Thanks again to you and Jen for keeping us connected to our happy place!

Baring in mind it's one of the cheapest Deluxe Villas Resort, Saratoga is brilliant, the rooms are classic and carry the horse theme, if you manage to get a villa (especially the 2 bed) the bathroom is a maze and massive, kitchen is also very nice. Would recommend, going back with uni friends in 2019!
