FireCracker3240 , I live in southern Illinois, I saw the complete eclipse, it was awesome.
+what's up Chuck Oh, that's wonderful! I live in PA, and I only got 77%. It turned out to just look overcast... like a storm was coming in. So while it wasn't too drastic here (unlike places that got complete totality), it was still a truly spectacular event!

Install a drop ceiling. Easy to do and always gives you access.
GoT was CRAZY at the end... I cant believe that they did that with the thing!!! I had a feeling when I saw the one part with the pulling that it was going to happen but its about the get CRAZY!!!!!

Jenn you're always cool with or without sunglasses. Tim you are such a good handyman the boys is loving this video they can't wait to see the finish results of the bathroom.
Just realize that pressure treated wood will shrink as it dries out (it's really wet that's why it's so heavy). The regular studs are klin dried and don't shrink.
Use treated screws going into the pressure treated wood. If not there could be a chance where it will eat away regular drywall screws.

Your bathroom Reno’s in the video look like mine at present. I’m impressed at how much bathroom work got done in one day in this clip. We live in an old Queenslander in Australia and what started as a “minor reno ” I came home one day to discover my husband had guttered the whole bathroom due to unexpected water leaks.
Tim and Jen let me tell you a fun little story about when we opened up our wall this time last year. we wanted to redo our oldest daughter's bedroom and change it into a game room and when we took down the Walls to redo them it was teeming with termites😫. it was a horrible nightmare and very expensive to take care of. moral of the story... it's better that you didn't know what was behind the walls from the other homes you lived in.😂 ignorance really is bliss 😄😄

Tim...ur caterpillar is what we NC folks call a "wooly worm". They can be all black, black with orangey-brown section..or orangey-brown on both ends with a black middle section. We look at ours to see what kinda winter we're sposed to have. There is even wooly worm festivals.

Hey Tim Im a contractor I see some moldy looking wood I would use kilz paint on those old studs and the sheathing between studs itll incapsulate the old wood and will smell better. Now its time to pay the Contractor!lol

What a great garden. Nice pool. I'am a little bit jelly.
Just a tip - be sure that your washer hose or any other hoses bringing water in your house is covered with wire mesh hoses because we had a water hose bust one day while we were at work and flooded the entire house and the basement - I try to warn anyone I can - lots of things lost - lots of mess - lots of work cleaning and once all was dried getting things back in the house ---- also to cover that pipe you could just make a beam frame around it or you could wrap the pipe with some type of rope or something that would compliment the decor in there - beachy looking nautical rope - or smaller lute type or even vine and greenery if you were using some theming that would match that - or - if you have curtain in there you could get a matching or same fabric and then cut it the length and width to wrap around and then velcro each side and then just velcro it along the pipe - if you are running that pipe again and you can remove it easy if it needs cleaning or you change decor = but if it is just that stump sticking out - find something to decoratively cover it as it hangs below - or just paint it to match the ceiling color few will notice it

while im at it, as far as the pipe is concerned, go buy a diablo heavy steel carbide tipped sawzall blade, (they are bright red), 2 (looks like) 3 inch rubber couplers, and a short piece of (looks like) 3 inch pvc pipe, cut the bottom of the hub first under the flange, make sure the rest of the pipe isnt gonna slide down thru the ceiling, cut the other side, then use the 2 (looks like) 3 inch rubbers to piece in a new pipe, and violia, hub is no longer an issue
Yes, my biggest concern is the pipe sliding down. That pipe goes all the way to the roof from the first floor and cast iron pipes are very heavy.
love your vids, btw. the last time i was at disney was 2006, and i havnt been able to go since, and id be miserable if it wasnt for you guys. usually the pipe wont slide all the way down and you are ok. thats why you cut the bottom of the flange first so u can test to see if it will slide down. in the rare case it will, you can put a clamp around it up on the roof, or wedge a 2x4 under it from inside. either way, you will be fine. as far as the pt is concerned, it might be allowed down there. i know up here in the northeast it isnt, but even so, its not a huge deal. just wall it up and forget it.

Tim you could always cut the cast iron pipe using a composite blade on an angle grinder then use a rubber boot to replace the upper section with 3" sch40 pvc pipe.
Yes, but I don't know what is holding up the part that is within the second story of the house. I'd hate for it to fall down and break something or hurt me.

I live in Nashville and got to see the total solar eclipse today! Everything when dark and we got to take our glasses off and see the corona for 2 minutes it was insane!

Tim I deftly want to see the progress of the neutron ride from tomorrowland speedway you brought back some great memories from when I was 10 and my 1st time in Disney World I went around the speedway and magic kingdom 4 times in a row was a great ride please do the progress videos can the Tron light from their. Had a bathroom remodel that lasted three years (expenses kept rising) thanks to a former homeowners attempt to band-aid a leak instead of fixing it and the damaged floors... Good times.

You both continue to astound me with your many talents, bathroom renos, egg and cheese sandwiches, you guys are awesome! Random question on the topic of houses, what locations around Lake Buena Vista would you recommend for a couple (no kids) to live? Would LOVE to see a video about that! Best neighborhoods around LBV. Preferably close to grocery shopping/wdw (obvy)/nice outdoor parks for walking etc. If any FL resident sees this post and feels compelled to give advice, you would save my life and I would be eternally grateful! °๑°
Unfortunately we are probably the wrong people to ask for this advice as we don't know your price range. Your best bet it to get together with a real estate agent and have them put together a bunch of options for you. I can tell you this, we have visited Celebration before and it seems like a nice place, but I haven't looked into construction methods of those homes to know if they are a good fit for the harsh weather we have here in Orlando and I also don't like how close the houses are to each other.

I didn't even think of the harsh weather down there...Duh Jenn:) (saying that to myself, not you Jen:D) I've just started the search so I really appreciate your reply! I'll check out Celebration. Any advice on finding a trustworthy realtor? Since Tim knows so much about construction I still think it would be neat to see preferable neighborhoods in midrange to high range housing just like you do with the resorts (which is legit all I want to watch on UA-cam these days, thanks for those videos!). But yeah I can see that being a realtor's position.👍🏻
You should think about getting a bucket of killz (@lowes)and paint the walls and wood with it
You should do one of the water fall shower heads where the hole top of the shower is the shower head
